i was honestly shocked by how i was treated at this inn with my little brother. i paid for 2 nights here and the morning after the first night, i heard stomping outside my door and keys jangling, i saw thru the window that an older lady was trying to get into my room. initially i thought it was maintenance or somebody that went to the wrong room but then she barged my door open and immediately told me and my brother to get out because i “missed” my checkout time and that there were people waiting for my room… she was very rude to both me and my younger brother! i told her i paid for TWO nights and she still continued to be rude and denied that i did. she later checked and realized that i DID indeed pay for two nights. she ended up just walking away with no apology or remorse for scaring me when she barged in my room. i don’t feel comfortable there and will not be coming back.

The worst service skills from the front desk attended (that seems to be the owner, he's there all day long) we are sorry we didn't keep looking for somewhere else's to stay in Saturday night, because the rate paid we assumed the place was going to be as the others reviews say but it was a total disappointment, very dirty room (floors disgusting), filthy bathroom band-aids were let behind and the cleaning crew didn't notice. Linens felt dirty as well and the pillows smell. Fortunately we only pay one night and could move ourselves somewhere else. Do not get fooled for this place. Amazing area to visit. These guys are taking huge advantage of the fact.

The room is so small, no special amenities at all for the price given where you could get better in other places. The service was very unfriendly and closed in the night. The location was just so so, I mean, in a small town like SLO, anywhere should have been fine, but there were hobos in front of the hotel.

Had a very terrible experience here. We booked last minute. The room was okay which is understandable. You get what you pay for. It was close to the area we were in for the night. We got a room with two beds. I slept with one of my girlfriends. We woke up early and left.

Hotel staff (mainly talking about the dark haired lady) was beyond disrespectful to say the least. Learn how to have some manners to your paying customers!! The rooms were very dirty and didn't even seem like housekeepers cleaned the room from previous people. The counters and sink were caked with dust and grime seemed like all the housekeepers did was made the bed and put new towels in the room. The floor was sticky....gross place to stay at I will definitely never EVER STAY HERE AGAIN! If you want to waste your money for however many nights than this is the place. Definitely do not recommend to anyone. If I could rate 0 stars I would have 🚫

Booked through Hotels app. Photos showed decent rooms, but once we arrived, they were very different, chairs were stained, and overall, it looked a bit runned down. Unfortunately, because it was Cal Poly's open house weekend, we couldn't cancel and go elsewhere because everything was booked. But I don't recommend this hotel.

The price and convenience off the freeway got it the third star. Otherwise, it's a place to sleep, not much else. The bedding could all use to be replaced but the mattress was comfy. No free coffee.

They had me put down a $100 cash deposit when I checked in (that I didn't know about in advance) and then also charged me the full price of the room. They then ignored my calls and refused to return my $100. Fully scammed me and stole my money

I am sorry to not have done a review sooner. I was there in 2021 to visit a sick friend in a facility nearby. I kept adding a day, stayed for almost a week. The room was lovely. Clean, comfortable and near everything I have always loved about San Luis Obispo. The owners were so nice and I felt welcome in times of sadness. Hope to go back soon because my friend is still alive! Recommend highly!!!

This place is little better than a roach motel to be honest. Even one star is too much. Let me detail the numerous disgusting aspects of our room: the bedspread duvet was clearly ripped with a big hole in the middle and polyester filling coming out (they didn’t even try and hide it by flipping it over); the smoke detector in the ceiling was out of battery and not blinking; the white, wooden headboard for the bed was discolored with clearly visible grease stains and smudges from countless guests heads rubbing up against it at night; one of the bedside lamps didn’t have a lightbulb in it and thus was not useable; the wooden hanger rack in the closet had hundreds of scratches on it from I’m assuming 20+ years of being used and not replaced; the wooden countertop surrounding the fridge was not properly assembled and had exposed screws, I could probably list a couple significant things but you get the picture. If you’re getting a SCREAMIN’ deal for a night at this roach motel (and I’m talking like less than $20 a night) then go right ahead but we unfortunately paid 10x that much only to discover the horror that was our room. I really do think the owners are paying online review farms to give them five star reviews to bump up their review ratings because the reality of this place was atrocious.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! If I could leave negative stars I would. This place has AWFUL, GREEDY service and low rates for a reason. I booked a stay at San Luis Inn and Suites recently a little later in the evening on priceline (so the money was ready spent) because we were driving in (it was a 6 hour drive). We have two dogs and were taking a camping trip, but left later than we expected, hence the reason we got a hotel for this night. There was NOTHING on the website that said there was a pet fee, only that pets were allowed upon request. We got to the hotel at around 11pm and this is when I saw a small sign on the window that stated there was a $25 per pet fee, this is fine but we didn’t want to pay that so we kindly asked for a refund and that we wouldn’t be staying the night. The lady at the counter REFUSED to give us a refund saying “Why bring your dogs if you can’t pay? No refund, it’s too late at night you’re bothering me” and saying my husband and smelled bad and that were causing her trouble??? Mind you we have my mother and 2 year old sleeping in the car. We hassled for a moment but it was too late at night for any of this and my card ended up being charged the FULL $80 even though we never even stepped foot into that hotel. SCREW THIS PLACE. DO NOT STAY HERE AND GIVE THESE GREEDY PEOPLE YOUR MONEY

Super clean, very thoughtful, deliberate. All needs preimagined and solved, shower new and clean. Seems as if it was inherited and rethought. I've been traveling for a month, you cant really find anything below $52 ($79 after taxes and fees) I've been paying $52 from Vegas to Morro Bay. This is the nicest hotel for the money. I've been to a bunch of seedy hotels, and this isn't one of them. The Front Desk was kind, understood what I needed, and treated me like a person, not a transaction. This is a rare find, gentlemen!

Great location at a good price. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the room was simple but clean, and the location is close to Downtown SLO. Our rooms all had fridges and a microwave, the beds were comfy, the room was clean. We will definitely stay here again!

Room was aight but im writing this off of the general experience, The short lady with the back hair and her dumb husband or whatever came barging into our room and was yelling at us to GTFO or there would be a charge on our credit card. Dont stay here unless u want a rude awakening!!!

This place is disgusting. Our room smelled like it was cleaned with urine. There was mildew/fungus in the shower. The room was dirty. Walls were damaged. Beds were dirty. I m so disgusted. I don't understand how some people gave good rating. People here complaining bout not having a coffee machine in the room or food. Thank goodness there's no coffee machine or food. Uff. I can only imagine. Also the manager barged into our room the morning and told us times up and we have to leave. How bout if one of was naked. So rude. It was 11:05am. And we had gotten there at 11:36pm. Worst service.

Rooms are modern and service everyday even if there is Covid! Little noisy in the morning as the freeway 101 is close to the motel! Check in fast and easy! Staff not really chatty! For this price nothing to say !

3/29/22 Tuesday. Old furniture but spacious room n bathroom comes with microwave n fridge. Really enjoyed staying one night. Wish they have a hot breakfast included. Only problem I found shower nob was loose.

Clean but too-soft mattresses (maybe you will like if you are into “plush, ” but I couldn’t sleep). No coffee maker though there is a microwave. Next too the 101 but quiet if you close the windows.

DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR MONEY! DO NOT STAY HERE! This place is TERRIBLE!!! The room they put us in absolutely WREAKED like toxic chemicals- it burned our eyes and throats, completely crazy scent. The table was dirty, the bathroom was nasty. I immediately asked the clerk for a refund 5 minutes after paying him and receiving the key, as there was no way we could sleep in that room. He refused to give us our money back. I spent $150 extra to get another room for the night. THEY STOLE OUR MONEY- no one could have slept in this room. Unprofessional, unclean, yucky. NEVER EVER STAY HERE!

We selected this place because it advertised a pool. The kids were prey disappointed to find that the pool was closed. Room was pretty good, but for $400 a night, that's all we got. No continental breakfast or even coffee. Jack in the box across the street is an easy walk, open at 6:00 AM
