I brought both of my boys in for haircuts before school. There were two stylist, Egna and Julia. My oldest used Egna, who he had used before. She did a fantastic job cutting and styling his hair. She put the product in his hair so his hair looked almost identical to the image that I showed her before the haircut. She explained to him how to style it. He was THRILLED! My youngest used Julia. I showed her several images and asked if it was something she could do (faded on the sides, longer on the top). She confirmed that it was a typical boy haircut. He came out and was in tears. I asked what was wrong and he said it looked awful. On further inspection, I realized it appeared she use different trimmers in different places as NONE of the sides were even or faded. On the front side of his face (both sides) there was hair that was a couple of inches long. When I voiced my concerns and asked if it could be fixed, Julia said "I can try". That didn't leave me confident so we left and ended up coming home and fixing it as best we could (some spots were still too short to blend). When I asked about paying for the bad haircut, the receptionist said that I still had to pay. I paid for both haircuts and left. Today, I called and the manager (Lucinda) said I could come in and get reimbursed for his haircut. Not ideal as we live 40 minutes away but better than nothing. I do NOT recommend Julia AT ALL. Egna should be the go-to for faded boy styles!

I asked for caramel highlights and a med length hair cut with a lot of layers. And I ended up getting only the top part of my hair dyed bleach blonde, then they hacked my hair like a little piece that was pretty much it. I still paid $90 for this cut that I didn’t even want but basically I was told that it would look better in a couple of days and I just need to get used to it but when I got home I noticed that there was blotches and unevenness in the dye. I honestly think it was just my lady, because my sisters hair came out great, but mine sucked so bad. It was just a horrible horrible job, so thank you so much for wasting three hours and money on what I could of done at home with box dye.

Went in to get my hair "done" the women did however explain that it indeed would be a process I agreed to it obviously taking a seat in that chair, but I also was told by the stylist that although we most likely were not going to achieve the color I was aiming for that I would still have a "purple" color once again I was on board not not only did this take almost 5hours to do but my ending result was awful 😫 Im left with a mess for hair and fairly the stylist tried to explain that it was a process we ran out of time and the we could persue the next day. I am a mother of six children yes you read that correctly 6 kids! So planning things are not always easy for me as you can expect so we agreed on a schedule date of Monday 10am she wrote it down for me and she entered it in the computer. Well now today is Monday and she canceled last minute on me Via txt msg 😤 Do you know how frustrating this is for me??i was in route already and I had to schedule a babysitter for my toddler and 5 month old pack up their things drop them for this appointment and From my understanding they said my name was not in the system and they "thought" "maybe" I cancelled.. WRONG! Therefore I called the store manager who got me in touch with the salon manager that I had tried to do, but kept getting the machine on the phone. The salon manager of course had an answer for everything as managers always have to be prepared to do. Not only were her answers repetitive but she assured me I could still come in and get taken care of okay great so when I ask? Not till 2-5 well no see here's another problem my older children will need to be picked up and taken to after school activities so that does not work for me today and I'm going to be busy being a mom and wife and go to work this whole week I don't believe they understood me when I said I must plan in advance so now what I'm supposed to either walk around with crazy hair or stress myself out on trying to reschedule everything to go back and get my hair fixed!??!!! This is beyond ridiculous and very infuriating to me that they can't get this right!! This was supposed to be a fun and exciting experience for me a "mommy makeover" in a sense and now I'm just highly disappointed and discouraged about even returning to the salon at all. Jcp is my fave I have a platinum card with them so that should show how much I enjoy shopping there and although this shouldn't be a reflection on the store itself I honestly just feel let down because I still do not have a solution for my hair I am now having to schedule somewhere else to fix the problem they left and now without the convenience of using my jcp card 💳 I have to come out of pocket which is not convenient for me either. I also tried getting in touch with cooperate but somehow the stores associates no longer can "find" the number yeah go figure all I want is my money back that is now being told to me is for the "stripping" of my hair not the "color" but they applied color to my hair 🤔 This was just a disaster overall and I absolutely will not be returning and want to make sure no one else has to go through what I went through 😔 Please people go to a REAL salon this is not worth the time or damage to your hair

Had a really bad haircut I wasn’t happy with and grew out from 6 months ago. I called and got in immediately and met the best stylist Sarah. She FIXED my hack job and I feel myself again. Thanks Sarah! I will be going back regularly to see her from now on.

I am giving this a two because my hair did come out great but it was a lot more than what I expected because they added extra add ons I didn’t know about. I was quoted online 165.00 then it jumped to 230.00. When it jumped that high, I figured I would just use a JCPenney’s coupon. Then I was told I could not use a coupon for a master hairstylist, which I did not know JC Pennys, headmaster hairstylist. I thought it only went to senior hairstylist.. when I got home, that’s when I noticed the extra add-ons I was charged for that I didn’t ask for and was not informed that they would be adding on. I’m so disappointed in the lack of communication with their customers and JCPenney should fix her website to show what ranking the hairstylist are at, and their coupons should specifically say, excludes master hairstylists.

I had my hair cut by Katt in mid-October and it was by far the worst haircut I have ever had. I have curly hair so it was hard to tell at the end of the appointment, but after getting home, I noticed that my layers were cut so choppy that it’s embarrassing and there are a few strands of hair in the back of my head that are about 6 inches shorter than the rest of my hair. Weeks later, and I still hate it. I’ve always had my hair cut at JCPenney since I was young, but after this, I will likely never do so again. Such a disappointment and now months of only wearing my hair up out of embarrassment of how poor my haircut looks.
