Forgot to post my review from my visit in January. It was deserved which is why I’m posting now. As a Texan I was super excited to read about this place in Texas Monthly so it was on my visit list while in CDMX of course I had to have some “American /Texas style” Brisket and Ribs. Upon my arrival I was greeted with friendly service as we walked in and explained how it all worked, of course coming from Texas and a big bbq lover I was Knowledged and ready to order everything my eyes could see. We tried out a variety of Brisket, Ribs & jalapeño cheddar sausage. Had the mac n cheese and beans for our sides. The order process was also friendly and mouth watering as you could see the meats being cut and weighted. The whole ordering processing was quick and easy. To the point, The brisket was hands down amazing and reminded me of true Texas style bbq. Perfectly smoked with a nice smoke ring & the perfect pull which showed how moist it was. The Ribs were packed with the perfect smoke flavor and topped with the right amount of sauce for the perfect fall off the bone rib. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was extremely flavorful and beat my favorite brand from Texas. Now the mac n cheese was dry and bland, the bbq beans were tasty. But quite honestly I came wanting true smoked meat and boy was I impressed. All washed down with a craft beer called Cosaco Roja, great beer. Prices are what I expected to pay as it’s a premium product and reflected Texas prices. For Mexico it may be a shock but bbq is a true craft which comes at a premium. Lastly unfortunately I didn’t catch it till after I left but my receipt showed I was actually charged twice for brisket which I only ordered a pound (450g give or take) I was charged two separate brisket charged. I reached out to the fb page without a successful response. I’m sure it was a human error which I understand, I just wish I would’ve caught the error in person but I was simply to excited to sit and eat. Overall highly recommend this BBQ place for true American/ Texas style BBQ! I’ll be back soon. Side addition AMEX was accepted which was awesome. Cheers.

One of my most expensive dinners here in Mexico 460peso....and had the spare ribs, potato salad and smoked coleslaw. I was very surprised they served me from a wrapped tin foil rack of dried ribs cold and the skin was dry and meat was too unfortunately a big disappointment then when trying the coleslaw it looked and tasted old and soggy and too apricot jam like and not smokey at all unfortunately couldn't stomach it and the potatoe salad was tasty and was the only thing I finished off the tray. Nice venue space tho.

America south in Mexico city! The food was great big portions, cheap good deals on big plate ate 4 hungry people. The staff was super friendly also. I would recommend 100% if you missed the states for some reason!!

We came for the American Football and even though our team lost, we enjoyed the food a lot. We owned a BBQ restaurant in the Pacific Northwest so might be a bit critical of BBQ sauce, but we were NOT disappointed here! Flavorful and tangy and not too sweet. We're happy we're staying nearby and will be able to return! Extra credit to the staff for putting up with my broken Spanish and taking good care of us!

Food quality and service speed is what gives this place 5 stars. The concept is a typical American BBQ with ribs, pulled pork and brisket which have been cooked for hours and so the meat is super soft and delicious. The sides are typical American too such as coleslaw, potato salad, Mac and cheese... For drinks don't miss the artisanal beers and the house lemonade which you can refill as many times as needed. Pies are ridiculously good too!

Texan here who eats BBQ often. Ribs, chopped beef and sliced were good. Better than dickie in the U.S. Just wish they had sweet tea. Sides were great. Employees were awesome and even though I ordered mostly in English, they were spot on. Other than that it was pretty good. Will be back.

The place, staff and music are cool but the food is meh, tbh is way too pricey for the low quality meat they serve, you can feel it immediately not to mention the rubbery tasteless mac and cheese, me and my friend got stomachache. This is just another cheap fast food chain restaurant.

Went on May 26th, 2022 with huge expectations. I decided to walk 4km to this destination so I could be nice and hungry for the feast. I ordered Ribs, Sausage and Cole Slaw. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Upon entering, you are greeted the manager and told about the BBQ options how they are prepared. The space itself is hip, fun and sets the mood for a Texas style feast but that's where the awesome ended. I really wanted to like the place but the BBQ totally missed the mark. First the Ribs: They had almost no meat on them, but the bones were nice and plump. As such, a full pound of ribs left me wondering what tacos I would buy from the street vendors. The rib meat was definitely mushy with absolutely no taste of smoke. In addition, they are covered in a very sweet sauce that does not compliment, but disguise the tasteless meat. Secondly the Sausage: 100% tasteless.... however it looked really plump and appetizing. In an act of culinary defiance, I covered the sausage with habanaro sauce and the burn and gave me the sensation that I was eating something and important (I was not). Final verdict... this place is expensive and probably can be worth it with a significant investment in meat quality and the BBQ process. If I had to do it all over again, I would simply buy a Mac-Rib sandwich for a fraction of the cost ...with the same taste.

It tries to give you the barbecue true experience. Excellent food, the environment set as you could find it in the US. I believe the brisket is their jewel of the crown. Good place to watch a football game.

The most authentic USA-style barbecue that exists in Mexico City. Apparently owned by a real “gringo,” and with ovens and equipment brought from the States, this place offers delicious meats (brisket, pulled pork, etc) with classic sides and a huge, diverse list of local craft beers. The space is large, wood panelled, and with long tables just like in Texas! I believe there is also an outdoor area for when the weather is nice Most importantly, there is a sign that advises customers that “it’s OK to eat with your hands!”

Always great food. If you want legit Texas style BBQ, it's the place to go. If you need a comparison, it's just like Franklin's BBQ in Austin, TX. Drop on for a great meal.

The worst BBQ I’ve had in my life; I’ve been all over Texas and Louisiana. Sad to say it, but I do believe these reviews are paid for because this was not the experience I was expecting. The sides: Mac and cheese (came straight from a box) no seasoning bland. Potato salad the best thing on the platter, but again I could’ve gone to Costco and got the same quality. The meat: Baby back ribs and St. Louis. rub was mediocre. Meat was dry and how can you even call this St. Louis ribs. Dry as dry can be….the same goes for the brisket. I do not recommend save yourself some money and find another spot.

Loved the food. Simple menu with excellent meat, cooked and seasoned very well. There is a huge lack of vegetables on the menu but that’s not why you go to a BBQ.

Even during the pandemic they've doing a good job at avoiding crowds inside. Their cooking is good enough to bring out some memories from the BBQ styles in the US. Their staff is friendly and willing to help you out with whatever you need. Prices are ok for what they serve and thw quality and quantity are good enough to satisfy your hunger.

I’m from Texas and this is actually really good Texas BBQ. Very impressed, even the potato salad is amazing.

I had an awesome experience. Karina helped me out to explain me the different cuts and even suggested me some low fat options so I can adhere to my current meal plan, thereby making an effortless choice from the menu.

I took my cousin here so they could experience Texas BBQ and it was so underwhelming. The employee let us know that the meat is cooked elsewhere and it shows. I should’ve turned around when I saw the dude in the trailer digging through a bag or parcel of meat wrapped in plastic. So if you like COLD bbq, sandwiches that use scoops (scooped) meat then stop by. It was so weird seeing a bun with a ball of brisket. Totally gross. The beer and sides were good though

Beware. Caveat Emptor. They try to sell short ribs with the whole rib (just bone no meat) and the add sauce (not a word of it) in their sandwiches instead of meat. Not a good experience. Enclosed a picture with the whole content of what they refer to as "pickles" in one sandwich. IMHO a robbery.

I was there for Thanksgiving dinner. The only thing that I would change is the organization. It was very difficult to get your dinner. You had to make 2 or 3 queues to be able to get it. When I finally sat down, everything was cold, except for the beers and sodas. An extra effort has to be done to improve these details. Other than that, excellent place to go and have Texan style food.

The barbeque is probably about as good as you can find in Mexico City. The service is fine, but I can't help but the service style, line, trays, etc. takes me back to school lunch. The plastic cutlery doesn't help. Reasonably good selection of craft beer.

Excellent food and friendly staff, but not a very pleasant experience. It started hammering down rain when I was almost finished. I was sitting at the table second closest to the exit, and walked to the door to look outside to evaluate the rain, as I had to walk to my next destination. I wasn't there more than three seconds before the security guard scolded me and told me to put a mask on (for the record, I am 100% pro mask, and only had it off because...well, because I was eating in a restaurant). He didn't take a second to think, just reacted and talked to me like a child, like he couldn't wait to show his authority. Doesn't create a very welcoming atmosphere, or leave a very nice impression to spend over $300, only to be spoken to like that.
