I brought in 3 REAL! Coach purses. They passed on 1 but tried of offer me $26 for my other 2. I saw other high end purses on the shelf for $75, $100, $300 ….this place is a JOKE! and a rip off.

Not clear on the buying hour. I carried 2 full bags of clothes and they told me not accepting anything and asked me to come tomorrow, which is ridiculous. If you update the policy, you should update it everywhere instead of asking customers to go to a particular social media. Would 100% not recommend this place for selling.

I brought some clothes, shoes and bags. I of course didn’t expect high price but they didn’t buy some clothes including some brand clothes those are new or almost new and in style now. Disappointed. I don’t think they know how to buy stuff.

So ive tried to sell my clothes to Platos closet 2 times based on their buying requests and everything i bought in was refused both times! I came last weekend and was told they were looking for spring outfits like dresses, leggings, tshirts etc. I go through my closet to collect all the items that fit this category and bring them in today! Guess what - everything was refused. Apparently they are overstocked!!! Then why ask for those in the first place!! Seems like their requirements keep changing everyday! Waste of my time and effort.

Careful who you talk to here, the information you get will change. The first time I came in, the owner told me she was always looking for larger sizes because they’re hard to keep in stock. She bought basically everything I brought in. Came back again recently and nearly everything I brought was refused because “we don’t like carrying big sizes like this, that’s not who we want in our store.” Plus size girls beware.

TOTAL SCAM! Plus the worst people around the area, super rude, they don’t know how to deal with costumers bu far. The female cashier called Lian, who check the clothes can’t be consistent with the judgements about not accepting clothes. Also, I bought the clothes from the store and never used but she said, they are not going to buy them back even tho they already had those stains before I bought them. Waste of time, sell online for better prices and kind people.

The store staff communicates poorly and ghosted me. I arrived early one day to drop off a bag of name brand shirts and a jacket (because I tried the day before and there was a 3 hour wait), and never got a call back about payment. The buyer at the store wasn't due to arrive for another hour after opening, so I had to leave with no indication when to come back. Their one day policy (or else your payment turns into store credit) seems like an intentional way to get a one over on people over who do not receive a call back confirmation that the buyer accepted the items. They also refuse to use Venmo, Cash App, or any other payment app to compensate people. I asked over the phone if this was an option and was then ignored. Now they'll profit off of the items because I no longer live in San Mateo and their store credit is useless to me. I should have just donated the clothes elsewhere tbh

I've been in a few times and quite honestly I've given better clothes away. The men's section leaves much to be desired.

One of the employees (a middle-aged woman) was a total degenerate and did not accept ANY of the clean, brand-name clothes I brought in to sell. Hmmm... I wonder why? Response: my review, like this response, was long overdue. I came to the shop before the pandemic, so no, this is NOT a fake review. I doubt your "records" are sophisticated enough anyway. All I remember is signing in on a clipboard.

Selection was amazing!! Found so many cute things! The associates were so nice and friendly help me with whatever I needed

I asked how much they pay for used jeans and they quoted 30%-40% of what they sell them for. They said they would pay $8-$12 each pair but it was actually $4-$7. Very few stores that pay for used clothes so I'm sure they know this and under pay you.

What can I say the customer service there is excellent they've taken care of me with my losing my debit card and just being up front and honest and I really appreciate stuff like that and it's not every day that you can get that kind of customer service so I felt like they needed a note of recognition and a huge thank you for being helpful in my stressful situation of uncertainty of where my debit card ended up and now I know that it's safe I am pleased and they were going to try to contact me but my number has changed since I've registered with them but I know they tried so that's all that matters to me they deserve a huge thumbs up. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you Plato's

The selection is great. The employees are friendly and the prices were super reasonable. The 1 star reviews are ridiculous.

DO NOT SELL YOUR CLOTHES HERE!!! They give you the worst deal ever, and rip you off. They gave us less than $10 for a $150 brand new BRAND shirt, and when we asked to cancel the deal after signing a receipt, they refused saying we "signed a contract."

Very disappointed. I brought hella items, there were 4 items picked out many which were more like winter clothes, she said they were looking for spring items and one of the 4 items they took were a prestine pair of black banana republic men's travelers jeans , not and gave me 15 dollars. Is that a spring item and 30 to 40% of their value.. hello, they were brand, damn spanking new. Never doing business there again.
