This place is amazing! Such beautiful handmade and hand painted items. My wife and I spent half a day here shopping. Some vendors have set prices and others are willing to negotiate. There also seems to be very good food because the place was packed with people eating and probably at very reasonable prices unlike most of the restaurants in San Miguel. Highly recommend this place to get a nice gift for a family member or to decorate your house in a colorful and vibrant way.

What do you wonderful and colorful place to go take a stroll through. You will find all kinds of fruits and vegetables, food vendors, clothing, boots, souvenirs, and many more Artisanal items. This place is pretty affordable. It’s so big it keeps going and going for what seems like miles. We enjoyed some snacks and bought souvenirs. We’ll definitely return soon.

Huge street with 4 or 5 sections with tons of local crafts to buy. Start at the top and work your way down. Bargain HARD

Incredible market with lots of handmade items. Definitely worth the visit. Prices seem to be a bit high here for certain shops (Sweets especially), but the items seem more authentic than they were in Mexico City, where many things were just made in China instead of handmade.

This market is one of those must see places while visiting San Miguel, especially if you’re looking for gifts and local crafts! They sell everything from mirrors and metal trinkets to jewelry to spices, leather accessories, shoes, area rugs and more. It’s a long walk and sometimes in the sun with both indoor and outdoor walkways and stalls. I recommend bringing a bottle of water and taking a break at Lavanda coffee shop which is soon expanding into a restaurant location. Art from all over Mexico is sold here!

You can find amazing items here; jewelry, pots, glass hearts, mirrors, furniture, fountains... etc. Good prices and great selection.

This is one of two markets that are next door to each other. Reasonable prices with a lot of new and different items. If you like traditional beadwork this is a great place to get it. Remember the price is not the price negotiate. Worth going to especially since the two markets are next door to each other. A short walk from the Center of town.

Good place to visit unfortunately they have somewhat elevated prices due to foreign tourism but you can always bargain with them to lower their prices a bit

A good market for getting souvenirs and other more touristy gifts close to the centre and some of the famous taco places nearby. Worth a stop.

This is a great spot to go shopping, same kind of stuff you find at the downtown stores, but less expensive and you can barter with the prices $$. Local merchants and tons of great finds for gifts. Place has been cleaned up a lot, used to be a dump. It stretches about 3 blocks long, and nearby small restaurants and up stairs has small plate food.. Worth the trip, but bring good walking shoes, lots of stairs and ramps.

Lovely market in San Miguel, where you can buy souvenirs and clothes, etc. Beware most shops don’t take credit cards so make sure to take cash with you.

Early in the morning, the farm trucks ramble in. Massive piles of fresh picked lettuces, greens, vegetables, fruits, and flowers are hauled in. The Warren of stall keepers begin rolling up their door shades. Food, baskets, traditional clothing, shoes, purses, toys, and more. A must do experience.

I have been coming here since I was a little girl and it is always such a beautiful experience! The food in the market is one of a kind. If you are looking for gifts for your family and friends this will definitely be the spot for you.

It’s a good place where you can find fresh fruit and vegetables. The food is not as good as the one sold on the near by restaurant but it is still good. They sell good juices and smoothies inside at a reasonable price. Also they are restrooms available for the public. There are at a price but it’s very cheap.

Super fun place to stroll through. Lots of artisans selling textiles, jewelry, traditional clothing, housewares, etc. It's a long, narrow alleyway that spans many blocks and ends (or begins, depending on which direction you're going) at Mercado Ignacio Ramírez. The pathway is steep at times so wear sturdy shoes. Take your time and enjoy all the amazing art these talented people have created. And remember, you're never far from some delicious food and refreshing beverages. The Mercado has everything.

Oh my goodness! There's absolutely no way a true shopper could NOT love this place. Mercado de Artesanias has something for everyone, from a toddler to your pickiest shopper. The prices are great, and the variety of must have items is greater. There's a lot of food there too. If you "must" cook, all the ingredients, including fresh veggies and meat, and pans to put them in are available right there. Some of the vendors speak English, but the ones who don't, go the extra mile to help you find exactly what you're looking for. You can't get all the flavor of San Miguel de Allende unless you've shopped at this Mercado 🌷🌷

You’re going to find a lot of silver jewelry at the best price!! They sell a lot of amazing and handcrafted stuff, instead of buying somewhere else any souvenir come here and buy it. They have the best prices.

Very good place to buy stuff and eat. The place has all kinds of things that are made by hand to very artistic pieces of art that can be purchased at a reasonable price. As for the food if your are in a budget and not really wanting to spend alot in restaurants this place is perfect if you don't mind all the people in the food section very good vibes and food and very good service. I cannot wait to go back
