An amazing food experience for us. Great local flavored tacos for an amazing price. Small little place off the beaten path. Be sure to take the walk from the port area to have awesome tacos. Staff was super friendly and helpful to us that didn't speak Spanish. Many gluten free choices by nature of their local recipes. Can't wait to go back.

Authentic Taco place! They have plenty of vegan options (basically all vegetarian ones if you skip cheese). Only mushrooms with cactus tacos can have a bit more flavour. Otherwise everyone is delicious. Even Mexican coffee was nice (i’m not a black coffee fan but liked this one).

Some of the most authentic and amazing tacos we had during our trip. The options were great and there were no bad choices. The tortillas though were what set these apart, just fresh and delicious! The staff was super friendly. Just be aware you might leave the place smelling like tacos... Not really a bad thing in my opinion 😂

You can find very good service here. The staff went out of their way to make us feel very welcome and comfortable. We felt very much at ease. If you are brand new to Mexico and coming off of those cruise ships, this is is your first stop to try out authentic Mexican tacos. It only took us about five minutes of leisurely walking to reach. There are a bunch of choices for what tacos to get, and all of them are definitely delicious.

The only reason I am choosing to give Guisado's 2/5 stars is because of health safety concerns which I will describe later. The food itself is absolutely fantastic; one of the best I experienced on the island of Cozumel. Their "chili" taco with garbanzo beans, black beans, and corn was scrumptious for a vegetarian like myself. I loved the freshly made Azul corn tortillas. It felt like eating at someone's home. However, it was only after dining there that I realized that their serving plates are "wooden" boards. You cannot readily disinfect porous materials like wood between customers, which very easily opens the opportunity for transmission of infectious diseases, such as food-borne illnesses, etc. Further, if their diners have any particular allergens to various foods, they are less guaranteed to be safe from cross-contamination from a prior guest. I hope Guisado's will consider changing to other serving plates to keep customers healthy and happy.

The best meal we had in 3 weeks Mexico! All the fillings had very distinctive different tastes and the blue tortilla tasted soft and freshly made. The two people working there were incredibly welcoming and very interesting to talk to and explained all the dishes to us. There were about 6 different meat and 3 vegetarian dishes. Highly recommend this place!!

This place offers an easy and upgraded version of street food. The prices are low, and they serve the food really fast. It's perfect if you're very hungry and in a hurry. The menu has good options, and you get tasty food without waiting too long. It's a great spot for a quick bite when you don't have enough time for a long meal.

I was recommended this place by a fellow diver and WOW am I happy that I went to try. A fantastic place to grab some authentic Mexican tacos. Nothing like you’ll find at all the other touristy taco places around Cozumel! Blue corn tortillas, filled with a thin layer of rice and topped with an amazingly flavorful selection of meats. The Mole with chocolate sprinkled on top is a must try! I will be back before I leave Cozumel. Gracias

Mayan style tacos served on blue corn tortillas! Sign me up! This is my wife and I favorite place to stop when we are taking a stroll around downtown Cozumel. This is a very small, intimate restaurant where literal grandmas are cooking up Mayan style taco options. I love this place. My wife loves this place. We first came ate here in March 2021 and returned in June 2022. Stop here and order some tacos you will not be disappointed.

These tacos are different and they are some of my personal favorite tacos in the world :) They use just 1 blue corn tortilla which i LOVE. There's no onions and cilantro, only seasoned rice and the filling. The fillings are the STARS✨ and without onion and cilantro, they get to Really Shine. I had chicken, chorizo & potatoes, and steak, potato & cactus. My husband had the mole. Everything was VERY flavorful and very well seasoned. The mole chicken was a little sweet with a warm earthy spice. They sprinkled some cocao on it at his request. They're more satisfying and feel more nutritious than regular tacos. The fillings were not heavy or greasy, made of high quality meat and vegetables, no sketchy parts or gristle. There was a vegetarian bean and corn filling that i will try next time. There was a very small but cute dining room with cute local art and some plants that was cooler and more comfortable than the kitchen area. ❤️❤️❤️

Absolutely incredible tacos at a great price. Very local and delicious ready to eat tacos on homemade blue corn tortillas with rice. Fresh guacamole and chips as well. Get a side of oxaca cheese to compliment your tacos and a soda for the best combination. Only downside is that it’s incredibly hot inside with no AC and a big stove right by the entrance, but who cares, it’s Mexico, you’re supposed to sweat!

If you are looking for the most authentic tacos, this is it! They make the blue corn tortillas by hand, to order. They don’t keep a menu, so it’s an adventure to see what they have every day! You can’t go wrong, but my favorite was the pork and onion. The server was just so so sweet and the prices can’t be beat. We loved it so much we stopped by on our way to the airport to take as our last meal!

The tacos are really good and they tortillas are freshly made. But it’s still a deeply flawed operation. They didn’t have fish for the fish tacos and they were out of cheese. They didn’t have bottled water. So we ordered sparkling water but they didn’t have enough so they dispatched someone to a local store. Even with a split unit, the place felt like an oven. Service was minimal. We had to request utensils and salt. The guacamole was freshly made however it wasn’t quite ripe and didn’t have a creamy texture.

This as the ultimate tasteful tacos experience, all the different ones we tried were delicious. We even took some again. And on top it was with a super friendly staff to present the options. The menu is really affordable which makes it a must do if you are visiting Cozumel ! Enjoy

Amazing food! You can tell the food is authentic and made with love - it feels like the lady cooking your food is your Mexican abuela. You can’t go wrong with any of the tacos, the blue corn tortillas were amazing, and all of the food is sold at a very good price. The people here are honest and are not running a tourist trap. If I ever find myself in Cozumel again, I am 100% getting some tacos here again!

Chicken Mole is a must! I was disappointed there’s rice inside taco, it took away the flavor so I ordered another 3 taco without rice. It taste so much better without rice !! Tell them no rice in the taco! Also I was very much spoiled from all Tacos in Mexico City, so this one did not very surprising me. But order the chicken mole without rice! You are welcome!

Authentic Mexican tacos just a block or two from the touristy market. The food on the grill IS the menu lol. Guacamole, salsa, and chicken mole tacos were amazing! Prices are fantastic.

Service: 5/5. As a non-Spanish speaker the service was AMAZING! The cook behind the glass counter took her time explaining what was being cooked as she took a break between making fresh tortillas for our tacos! They had a variety of about eight different fillings for the tacos when I visited this location. While they cooked our food, we were given a complimentary appetizer and salsa was brought to the table, along with our beverages. Food: 5/5. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! I could leave it at this but what that wouldn’t do it justice. Every single bite was delicious between the chicken tinga to the ham to the carne tacos. The salsa are a lot hotter than what we are used to in the USA, so be prepared. However, the mild, medium, and hot were delicious and mouthwatering! These salsas paired well with the tacos but the tacos did not necessarily need any salsa. Ambiance. 5/5. This little hidden gem was simple but had the ambiance you wanted in a Mexican restaurant in Mexico. You could see the good being freshly prepared, the walls were decorated with art, and the bathrooms were clean. It was a mix of locals, expats (immigrants), and tourists in the restaurant.

My favourite tacos that I had while on the island. The flavours were incredible. Freshly made blue corn tortillas. The chicken tinga and chicken mole poblano were my favourite. You also can’t beat the prices here. Everyone was always super friendly.

We ate here at lunch and the tacos were delicious. They were very authentic and tasty. Probably some of the best homemade blue corn Tortillas! We highly recommend Guisados.

My husband and I stopped by for lunch. The blue corn tortillas are exquisite and we really enjoyed our tacos. The beans were really good! Service was great and a welcoming, friendly family staff.

English /Spanish speaking friendly attentive waiter. Food was delicious. Got the mole chicken, cactus mushroom & chicken / rice. Love the blue fresh tortilla. Everyday they cook it fresh. Price is great. Got the fresh cold hibiscus (Jamaica), was very refreshing. Will definitely come again! Recommend! Would come again!

My friend said, “this may be the best restaurant I’ve ever eaten at in my life.” Tacos are delicious! Great variety too. I was very delighted to see the cauliflower option, which was just as tasty as it looked. All tacos served with rice on a handmade tortilla. ❤️ And the service was exceptional! Definitely recommend!

They make their own blue corn tortillas. And they’re good but the tacos weren’t my favorite that I had there.

The service is amazing..these people are the first ones in my Mexico stay that I can say were truly kind and lovely... The food is also yummy..I had two tacos, both delicious and interesting taste. I could not eat more, otherwise I would have tried all they had. The first one was the first pork option on the menu... My second taco was a chicken option with a bit of chocolate on top (no picture of it, but I saw someone else but it up). The taste combo was not what I expected..it goes so well. Give them a go..will not be sorry at all...

So glad we stopped here for lunch! I went with my husband and 2 kids. We couldn't decide what to have so we ordered 8 tacos and asked them to just bring us a variety. We loved all of them and decided to order more. My son is a bit of a picky eater and he never wants seconds, but even he wanted another of the smoked pork. We had a really great time, the food was delicious, and the staff was super nice! The mole was so good. I definitely recommend stopping here in Cozumel!

Really tasty tacos filled with stews. The chocolate sprinkled on mole is a nice touch and the staff is very lovely. Went twice in 2 days!

This is the place to go. Just out of the tourist area, watch out for the small tacos sign hanging down. The chicken stew with rice in a blue corn taco and the smoked pork chop with rice in a blue corn taco were so good, I had them for lunch and dinner. Memo was an incredibly friendly host and talked about his home city: Mexico City. I now need to visit there, too!

Great warm welcoming. “Comida Casera” home made food. Blue tortillas and mole were my favorite tacos. Must try for yourself.
