On our last day in El Salvador, we took La Ruta de las Flores tour with Ozmaro. It was amazing. We wish we had known of Eco Tours earlier as others we went on were not nearly as great. Our guide was personable and fun to be around! He was very well informed and could answer all our questions about the history of the country, the towns we visited, and anything else we wanted to know. He was flexible with what we wanted and did not want to do and was relaxed on timing. I have traveled extensively in Latin America and this was definitely one of the top tours. Would recommend for solo travelers, tamiles, and friends.

We booked 3 day tours with Eco Tours Petate and had the pleasure to meet Osmauro who was absolutely amazing! We were a group of four and appreciated how patient and helpful he was with each of us individually since we were all at different activity levels. He made sure for all of us to get through each tour and enjoy it. He was full with knowledge and loved he could transition from Spanish and English as needed to make sure each of us understood. We highly recommend, if possible, to request Osmauro as your tour guide. You won't regret it!

I had an excellent experience with this company! I booked the layover tour to El Boqueron and San Salvador and added a stop in Panchimalco. My guide Osmaro was prompt in picking me up from the airport, knowledgeable about the history and culture in El Salvador and a great person to spend the day with. I mentioned that I was interested in trying local food and we stopped for atol, coffee and pupusas - all were excellent. This tour was a highlight of my trip in Central America and I highly recommend this company to anyone traveling to El Salvador!

I booked 3 different tours (layover, Guatemala, and San Salvador city) with Eco Tours, Both Rafael and Osmaro were always punctual to each activity. They were also accommodating to my schedule. Excellent storytelling, gave me great recommendations for food and places to visit, even took awesome pictures and videos. I will definitely recommend them. I was picked up from and drop off at my Airbnb. Osmaro even stopped at the Rosario church and cathedral on the way to airport because I didn't get to see it during my stay. I had questions about real estate in El Salvador, which Rafael answered to all. Great tour guides!!!

Awesome tour and tour guide! The only thing my clients did not like was that the tour guide took pictures of them without their permission. They would have liked to be asked if it was okay to take pictures of them and post.

My husband and I had the pleasure of taking multiple tours with Raphael and Osmario of Eco Tours Petate. As natives of El Salvador,  we learned so much from our two days spent with them. From the culture, to the knowledge, and insight provided by the father and son, this tour was worth every penny. As a couple who travels often, we felt safe and their english is clear. We were able to experience both the popular attractions, and non-tourist areas and learn so much about the country and culture. If you are looking for a authentic experience of El Salvador with a passionate family owned company,  do not hesitate to book a tour with this great company.

Never showed up. Doing a tour is not difficult. You do it everyday. But coordinating picking up your clients and which hotel should be as good as possible. follow up: Owner asking for booking number... I had a Whatsapp conversation with someone from the company explaining that I couldn't pay online and I asked the person if I could pay the driver, who confirmed. Next days I asked again if the trip was confirmed and pick up time and place was all communicated. While I was waiting I WA again were my ride was and driver didn't know I was on the tour. Then he asked which hotel... ok, but then he even asked where that was. I am a tourist, he is the driver - he should know or find out. Clearly this was extremely bad communication with the first company person and coordination and follow up with the driver. I've send the company the complete WA communication and if he wants to improve his company, it should sort out its internal communication.

Rafa gave us a wonderful day. Very communicative and patient. Look forward to another tour next trip.
