The hotel is brand new and very nicely furnished. Very friendly and cooperative personal. Our receptionist was not only welcoming, but very helpful. Bear in mind: - Most of the rooms for 125 per night with sea view have rather mini widow facing the city, so no sea view for you. - Taxi driver will get lost until he finds the way since the hotel is located quite far from the seaside if you drive by car. - There is an elevator that brings you from the hotel directly to the old city center. 10 mints walk and you can enjoy the promenade. - Spa and parking are not included

We booked a suite and non of the pictures presented on the website or the text made available prepared us for the fact that the large suite only has one tiny window in the bedroom. The other room was completely without window (although it had a bed inside for our daughter). The bathroom was also without any window. We addressed this with the staff that responded very harsh. Instead of offering to solve the issue the told us that we can leave earlier if we do not like the room. Ultimately this is what we did - we rebooked out flight and left after two days. Side note: The have an outdoor pool that was closed. In addition they have an indoor pool - which is closed for kids. Not really family friendly. My suggestion to anybody considering to book this hotel: Check out the photos of the room on the website - if you do not see any window, ask yourself if you want to book a room in this hotel. There are awesome hotels in San SebastiĂĄn who offer better rooms and better service.

The suite is amazing - very large. Hotel is big and clean. All amenities are there. Easy access to the town. The spa access costs extra which is a minus and no complimentary water in the room. Everything else superb!

Excellent hotel. We had a room w/view and it was nice. The bathroom was spacious. The cleaning crew and reception were nice and polite. The alternative entrance to the town center was cool. However, the amenities were extremely over priced. Seriously who charges to use the pool, 17.5€ for one hour.

I liked the hotel a lot: spacious rooms, big bathroom with a bathtub, huge comfy bed. Location is great, just 10-15 minutes to the old city and the beach, a lot of nice cafes and restaurants within 5 minutes reach as well. The hotel is located on the hill, there are no big roads directly next to it, therefore it is relatively quiet too. A terrace on the roof with a swimming pool and a little bar is a great addition, the views are just stunning. Special thanks to the 2 guys working on reception, unfortunately I don't remember the names, but they were very welcoming, gave recommendations and were ready to help with any of your requests. Highly appreciated! My only note to the owners: I really do not need my towels changed every day, in fact for 5 nights I am good to use just one towel, let's save the resources when they can be saved! There is an option offered: we won't change your towels unless you put them in the bathtub. We didn't put them there, nonetheless they were changed every day!

Of course, we loved the pool on the roof. It's fantastic and has its own bar. Even when the area got a but busier, it wasn't uncomfortable or difficult to find a seat. We loved spending our final night on the roof watching the sunset over the bay. The room itself was phenomenal. The bed was huge, very comfy and came with multiple pillow options. It was beautiful inside, with lots of room for storage and a gigantic TV. We can't thank the staff enough, who came and turned down the room multiple times throughout the day without us even asking. We also loved the female bar staff on the roof who served all customers, and the main bar staff who advised on what wines to purchase - a very nice touch! Unfortunately there's a huge building site directly outside the building, this wasn't mentioned anywhere while booking. The noise went on all through the day but thankfully noise was minimal at night time (except the noise of late night bin lorries, about 2am, no idea why they would collect at that time). The plug directly next to the bed didn't work, and we had to charge our devices away from the bed which was inconvenient. The shower door also didn't close properly, and the shower itself sprayed water all over the bathroom floor every time we used it.

We stayed at two different hotels here. The poolside bartender was an amazing Brazilian woman. The breakfast was off the charts. The dinner was incredible and the room was awesome. The only downside was the showers although clean and super new I was unable to use the overhead shower because it leaked onto the floor. It leaked so much onto the floor that if I hadn't gotten out to tell my wife how awesome it was I could have caused some legitimate flooding in our room. They need to fix that. But seriously everything else besides location (for us you can't beat the beach) 5 stars.

Great location and nice staff The property is very well built and has all commodities. Well done! Rooms are very good. Staff at the restaurant was extremely good at service and while maintaining the respect he was very friendly and funny, the name I remember is Tania but all were always commendable. Chef did an amazing job, making this one of the best hotel restaurants/dining rooms I have been in respect to quality of food. Quick mention to the concierge team (luggage helpers) who were always available. Jordi at reception was always helpful and solution driven ! Issues during the stay Cleaning: room was not cleaned properly, many things left in room as is and not tidied, waste paper basket not emptied (it was totally full) in general sub par cleaning Pool bar: It got full to the surprise of the staff and she wasn’t sent help. So full area was a mess as she was serving but not able to pick empties from table. Also towels finished and no one was bringing more up. Eventually the one person told me she would go down but you could see it’s impossible for her to do all. One lady at reception (won’t mention her name) was very tough to talk to, I felt my request was difficult and maybe she did not like me, but then I saw the same tone being used with another patron.

It's very clean and efficient but lacking in any charm as it's a big chain hotel. The staff do their jobs well but are not very welcoming. The pool is only about 60cm deep so not much use for adults apart from a quick cool down. The roof terrace bar could be so much better but currently is a sparse unwelcoming place. If you don't want to take any risks with your hotel choice it's a safe bet but I'm sure there will be more interesting options in San Sebastian.

We had a gigantic bedroom with living room, big sized bathroom and all needed amenities. The room fits at least four people but felt like a whole apartment for two of us. Clean, quiet, beautifully designed hotel, although not fancy. Parking garage in premises but you have to pay. Breakfast available, great selection of food, fresh squeezed juices, coffee, teas. Felt very safe. Walking distance to city center and the beach

Good looking, comfortable and well located hotel for a reasonable price, with helpful front desk service and very modern facilities. I would have given 5 stars but the restaurant management failed us quite badly - we stayed 1-2/Jan, having purposefully chosen a decent 4* hotel with restaurant to be able to eat a comfortable meal (in the gastronomic capital of San Sebastian) on our overnight road-trip stop. With the hotel well packed they had only staffed the kitchen with 2 chefs, and decided to make nothing but pizzas. As if that wasn’t disappointing enough, they failed to bring me the pizza I had ordered anyway… The understaffing was evident at breakfast and reception as well, where it seemed like staff were constantly rushed off their feet and under capacity. Although credit to them, they did seem to manage, it was a rather stressed environment. Good candidate for a 5 star review, which I will change to if I come back again and the management ups its game. Pets allowed, good parking facilities, beautiful bedrooms and decent amenities.

The staff here are super friendly and kind. The bar staff are also brilliant! I had food poisoning from another town and they were very nice to me. The chamber maid was also so good and professional and went out of her way to give us what we needed. I was really impressed by this hotel and will definitely stay here again when visiting the city.

Excellent location but not 4 star standard. Very expensive for the quality of the hotel. Not enough sun loungers by the pool and I had to lay on the floor. Lots of bugs around the pool and I am now covered in bites. Not a premium drink selection at the terrace bar - no beers on tap, only Heineken and warm Cruz campo. The phone wasn’t working in our room so we had to incur charges when calling reception from our mobiles. The shower gel wasn’t refilled in the shower and I only noticed when in the shower…. Pillows were small and lumpy. Not feathers.

I stayed here with my husband and family earlier this year and cannot complain about this hotel as it was a wonderful stay. The location is perfect and the service is fantastic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to San Sebastian.

Best hotel I ever stayed at! The pool on the topfloor with an amazing view is the cherry on top! The beds are comfortable, rooms really big. We had a room with an amazing view over the city. The staff was super friendly and helpfull. My dog was welcomed by everyone.

Terrible rooms, with serious lack of windows. It’s like staying in a cave. No life guard or towels around pool. Which isn’t heated. I won’t stay here with children again. Everything (spa, bar seems to only open a couple of hours a day). With unclear signage. It’s a great city. But find a better hotel.

A wonderful place. Amazing. I can say to everyone who want to stay in San Sebastián that this is the best choice they can made. The hotel is modern, clean and so beautiful. It’s gorgeous. One of the best staff ever met in my life: he had helped us in a very bad situation and I will always say thank you to the night Receptionist. 5 stars are not enough for such a stunning place. The room was wide, the bed was enormous, the pillows were so perfumed end comfortable that I couldn’t believe everything was real. The bathroom is the pearl of the room with its majestic shower. Everything was perfect. I loved the espresso coffe in the morning prepared by myself with the Nespresso machine. I’m Italian so it was great. I recommend this place to anyone

Wonderful 6 night stay, hotel a 10 minute walk from bus station (17 euros from Bilbao airport to San Sebastian, great service, make sure u book ur return as seats sell out) room was great, big shower and bed. There are some works taking place down the road but shut the window and couldn't hear a thing, great nights sleep. John the bell boy was informative and helped guide us in the right direction to the street lift, directions (turn left and walk straight to the beach and olde town) and recommendations for food of which there is plenty 😋 thx John. The roof top pool is wonderful and relaxing with great views and breakfast had everything you need, would definitely recommend 👍

Love this hotel, the staff are always super friendly and helpful. We travel with our dogs and they have a great dog service. Last time we stayed we had a free upgrade too. The location is great, handy parking and nice breakfast. Walkable to the beach.

Good situation and parking. Modern well furnished, with huge double bed. Lift and walkway to street level is excellent. Great views from our room 312. Nice welcome and info. The dark decor is quality but a couple of lighter prints on our walls woud be nice. It's a new build and snagging needs to be done. Loose toilet roll holder and shower spray rail. Sink plug not working, bidet plumbed wrongly as cold comes out of hot tap and visa versa. No sealant around vanity unit. These things didn't detract from our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed Donostia San Sebastion.

I loved my stay here. I really couldn’t fault it and it was a great price. I really enjoyed the breakfast they served in the morning. It is also a great location with great views of the city.

Great experience, lovely staff and AMAZING view from our sea terrace room and the rooftop pool. Lift from hotel to street was really convenient and the spa/sauna facilities were very much enjoyed. Would come back!

After staying in a couple.of Airbnb's in the basque region, we felt like we had arrived to a long awaited oasis. The air conditioned rooms were well laid out with plenty of closet space, cool white sheets and fluffy white bath sheets. The view was hard to take our eyes away from the window - a glimpse of the sea, the green hills surrounding San Sebastian and looking down over the Centro neighborhood. The hotel is perched on a hilltop with elevator access to the streets with plenty of shopping, cages and restaurants. The hotel staff was accommodating with any requests we had.

very stylish modern hotel in dowtown san sebastian. bed is very comfortable and rooms are quiet. there is good equiped gym. I would prefer dumbbells with higher weights but despite that it's fine and rather spacious for a hotel gym. breakfast ist very good and food quality high. the best about my room is the big shower. the shower is actually a little corner room with large windows - so while showering you can see a big part of the city. It's really a dream shower!

Very disappointed... noisy rooms, parking costs 20€ per day, spa was also almost 20€ per hour although i am already paying almost 100€ for a night. Same thing with the breakfast. Water was leaking in from every corner of the building and there was also a mild smell of rotten eggs. Bartender only knew 3 drinks (I think she was new so not that big of a deal). You really would expect way more from a 4* hotel. Spend your money somewhere where you get what you pay for please.

Just love it ❤️ . They even got a elevator going all the way to the city... The rooms are huge , bathrooms are lovely . Parking house under the hotel . Just love this hotel ! And will go back next time I'm in the area ...

Was not a nice room. Overpriced. No window in room. Felt phobic. Lift was a nightmare. Having to scan it Everytime. Food was ok. Nice service from dining room staff. Reception not very helpful. Has said I was deaf. Still no different. ?.

Pictures don’t do any justice, what a beautiful tasteful and modern hotel. Perfect location, friendly staff, clean and modern installations with a vintage touch. And incredible pool too! Will defo be back! PS. Use the lift from the street to get in, we didn’t know about it the first day and had to climb the hill…

Very good location - close to everywhere. Hotel is brand new and rooms are very nice. There is a rooftop pool available and another exit directly to the old city. Reception staff is very nice. Shower gel and other things could be refilled more often. There is a parking for 20€ per day.

The hotel rooms are very nicely furnished, and comfortably spacious. Nice coffee/tea making facilities, and lovely smelling toiletries. The lift down to the city saves a long walk around, and brings you out into a convenient part of the city. The car parking is expensive, and they do not cater for guests with young children, no cot was provided for our baby.

New and modern hotel in a great location. Love the rooftop pool and the views. The room was nice and spacious, very comfortable beds. The only negative is that the noise insulation is horrible and you can hear any noise from the lobby/main areas - so take earplugs if you want to sleep.

Great hotel. Was new when we visited. Dog friendly, they provided a bed and bowls etc. underground carpark is a little tight though. Hotel is in a good spot to explore, not far from the beach, old or new towns. Has a lift to get you down to the Main Street level, which is pretty cool as it’s on a super steep hill

Five stars for money/value. Rooms clean and fresh with a full compliment of amenities. Location is incredible! Big plus for saving our day.

  • 3/5 Nisha G. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel is comparable to a 4 star hotel with friendly knowledgeable staff. I cannot say the same for the restaurant. We wanted a quiet healthy option for dinner. Went to the restaurant for a drink where the staff again is friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered a couple of salads which were not presented as described on the menu. The explanation we got was that the chef is new. Fair enough, but a salad could possibly be simple to assemble. Please keep this in mind when considering this restaurant.

Great location. Great views. Fantastic decor. Friendly and helpful staff. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. (And, on a trivial note, the orange juice machine in the restaurant produced the most delicious freshly-squeezed orange juice I have ever tasted! :-))

1 night stay. The spa was closed and we mainly booked it for this reason. The staff would not make any commercial effort. Swimming pool was much smaller than it seemed on the picture. Last, the room view was trash and worksite. Parking was 20 euros additional when we thought in would be included. Otherwise the rooms inside is good and the general inside facilities are clean and new. Expensive Hotel for me but far from expectations, which let us on a bad experience.

This is really a wonderful Hotel! Everything was perfect, friendly people, great room service, fantastic breakfast, nice room with proper bed, good parking, location perfect and very dog friendly. We will definetly go there again! Keep your standards!

Our group stayed at the Hotel Catalonia at the beginning of October. The rooms were lovely and clean, the staff was very accommodating, and the food…especially breakfast… was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great location! Close to the beach, shopping and great food. They have an elevator to get down to the square by the train station. Our room was good, a light fell off the ceiling fixture and the toilet seat was loose, one side wasn't staying installed. Big shout out to the receptionist Sergio! He helped me an early morning when my wife and baby were sleeping, got me connected to the wifi, made me a delicious coffee, and even a little chocolate as well! Amazing, though not all staff were this accommodating. Overall a great experience and good views from the roof bar and pool
