Wow, food is fantastic here, probably best I’ve had in Germany so far - and I’ve been in many cities. The pork with noodles was our standout dish, but everything we ordered was equally sooo good. Highly recommend. The decor is really nice, with angels, chandeliers and they also serve great beer. The waitress speaks English as well, though there is no English menu available.

Review of the vegetarian menu: Great menu with many (clearly marked) options for lacto-ovo-vegetarians: flammenkuche, spätzle and rösti. I had the rösti with mushrooms, edamer and leek. The grated and fried potatoes were perfectly crispy and salty. The topping was creamy and cheesy as a nice contrast. The only (small) downside was that my dish possibly was a tad too greasy. But it was on the other hand very satisfying and filling. My company ordered the flammenkuchen with chilies. It was not as flavourful and filling as my dish was. The dough was razor thin - almost like philo pastry, which we both liked. There wasn’t much cheese on, so the main flavours were dough, creme fraiche and chilli. Not bad, but nothing spectacular. We both also ordered a small starter salad and apfelstrudel for dessert. The starter salad was a pretty random selection of lettuce, sauerkraut, white cabbage, carrots and a light creamy dressing. Would probably not order it again. The apfelstrudel was nice, but not as flaky as I would have liked it to be. Would still order it again though. The service was quick and attentive. The crowd looked like middle aged locals.

Local restaurant in Offenburg serving classic dishes. It was very busy on a Friday night and it was filled with locals enjoying their evening. We had the Käsespätzle (German Mac and cheese basically) and a schnitzel. Both were decent. The apple struddle was perfect for dessert. The staff were great but there were only two of them serving the whole place, so was really slow.

This cosy restaurant was such a delight! My sister and I stopped by for a last minute late dinner and left feeling very pleased with our decisions. To drink we tried the spãtburgunder (rot), a local red wine which we both agreed was absolutely delicious (for the wine alone we will be back)! We thoroughly enjoyed the Schwarzwälder Kartoffelsuppe, a black forest potato soup served with wiener sausages. And for main I couldn't recommend more the Späzel-pfanne à la crème - egg noodles with a creamy mushroom sauce served with schweineschnitzel. The flavours and textures in this dish were perfectly balanced and complemented the wine beautifully. Our waiter was very polite and attentive. He spoke with us in English but it must be noted there is no English menu (we used a translation app). For anyone travelling to Offenburg I would highly recommend dinning here. Our experience was definetly a highlight.

Lovely place with good traditional/regional food. The interior of this restaurant reminded me of an old English pub:-)

Nice food, good big portions. The menu has enough to offer, flammkuchen, spätzle, schnitzels, salads.

ordered a salad and it wasn't serviced until the end of the meal. When I asked for a receipt, the man talked about the price to pay without a receipt, and I asked for a receipt again. The receipt included the price of the unserved salad. And they didn‘t say sorry. So, check the receipt.

On the day we were there, it was just after the peak lunch service. About the food: absolutely nothing special. Lots of hype on Google. On the day I visited, 23 December 2023, the credit/bank card machine was not working - or so I was told. So cash payment it was (with the hope of a tip) (which wasn't forthcoming). The waiting staff were helpful.

Lovely and cosy place and the food is worth trying. Especial the dishes that are prepared in the iron pan. I like the retro look of the restaurant, I definetly recommend it.

Amazing food, amazing service. We were able to get a table on short notice and also come in with two dogs, staff was very friendly and the food was simply magical.

Doesn’t accept credit cards. Rosti was not as good as Marche. I didn’t enjoy the beef broth. But everyone was having the schnitzel which looks good. The beer was nice.

Nice meal, especially the big schnitzel, but it was a bummer that you couldn’t pay with card

Great location and service. English can be used at the restaurant. The portion is relatively big. If you don’t have large appetite, you may order their signature entree with a salad to share with the other person. You may also ask the server for recommendations. Visit twice in three days
