Very sad trip. Have been coming to this campground for years and enjoy it very much but unfortunately we will not be returning as long as Dillon and his buddies are the camp hosts. Very rude guys. Like to make threats with police and fines. I love rules and appreciate the care that is put into the campground but they have a huge chip on their shoulders. Seems like they thrive on having some kind of control. Very disappointing and not the way people need to be treated.

I went back to see if the camp host was still those guys. I was so happy that they are no longer the camp hosts. The new camp host is awesome. Very nice. He keeps everything very clean. I just wanted to let everyone know it's time to enjoy the Paliza campgrounds again.

Please don't let one negative review discourage you from this beautiful campground. Blake, Dylan and Sergio are AMAZING camp hosts! If you want a clean, and I mean CLEAN and peaceful campground this is your spot! Apparently the poster of the negative review just has problems with authority as it is. Paliza is an absolutely beautiful. A place like no other.

Great camping spot, very clean facilities and grounds well cared for. Super camp host, knowledgeable of the area. Great for families with some larger spots that have toom for 2 larger RVs. Beautiful trails nearby.

Fantastic host. Quiet except for when the hikers and firewood cutters drive by on FR10. Cleanest campground I have ever stayed at. They even rake the gravel at every site. Zero ash in the fire pit and waist-high grill. Be prepared to sleep on asphalt if you are tent camping. Lantern holders at the new sites is a nice feature. No potable water, but there's plenty to filter/boil from the stream. Half of the camp is generator free. CG is within walking distance of the Goblin Hoodoos trailhead.

13 Sep 2020: Very well-kept campground. Pride in the campground is evident from the camp hosts. About 2 miles to the campground from the "pavement ends" sign as you enter the Forest Road 10. Road was not terrible. Most of road is suitable for at least two vehicles, but there are some tight spots. USFS website recommends high-clearance vehicle, but I think that is way overkill. Quite a bit of signage at the entrance and a couple of cones at the gate. My first impression was that it was closed. Nevertheless, the campground was open. It is $8.00 per vehicle; they do not keep track of what spot...just charge by the vehicle. Some spots have two or 3 parking spots and two picnic tables. All spots have ground-level fire rings. No water. No power. Not a ton of people on a Sunday afternoon. You may see cows in the campground. The vault toilets were excellent! You could spend an hour in them and not be grossed out (I didn't, just saying you could). Cell coverage okay (Verizon). Just sent a few texts and a picture, didn't try to make a call or try to go online for anything. The loop that has sites 23 to 29 is a generator-free zone.

Very nice camp sites. Forest all around and a stream near by. Level grounds for parking and tents. Worth a stay

Paliza is a beautiful campground! A couple things to know before you go. You need to bring your own water. I don't think there is any water available in the campground. The road to the campground can get bad after a hard rain, so be aware of possible access issues during the monsoon season. Lastly, there are no reservations so it is first come first serve. There are tall pines and fairly level sites so it's worth the drive.

A great place to pop a tent and or park a trailer. Very clean and Bob and his wife are very personable and they keep the grounds clean. It's a dry camping so bring water. Restrooms are very clean
