Truly an amazing place! The rooms were very spacious. We had 1 double bed and a 1-person bed in the room with a little kitchen, a table in the middle of the room and a very large bathroom with the toilet, a large shower, and a bathtub! The people are so kind and so welcoming! Amazing place to sit outside and enjoying the view. I had truly a good time with the braai that was organized in outside area and we also ended up dancing with the staff of the hotel! The breakfast was differently every day and evenly great! The food for diner was also so tasty! I recommend this place!

Wow!!! This place is so beautiful!! We booked for a Food Safari event that was being held here. On arrival we were greeted by the friendly host and staff and then led to the dress-up room where we chose our African outfits to be worn for the event. Then we were handed popcorn and a refreshing cooler. The views of this place is gorgeous especially the flowing river. Numerous pictures were taken as we couldn’t get enough of this place!! The hosts were a fantastic couple who were so friendly and welcoming!! This event was held in conjunction with Date Night Ideas For Couples so the owner Leilani was present as well and she is such a wonderful person!! We were seated outdoors and the area is so serene and peaceful. We were served the starters and it was so yummy. The wine & cheese platter was well paired! The staff was so helpful and friendly as well! The mains were served buffet style and as per the pictures, there was a delicious selection on display!! The food was openly displayed so you could get seconds or thirds if you wished to do so!! We thoroughly enjoyed the meals and saved a little space for pudding which was delicious. The chef and her staff did an outstanding job with the meals as it was prepared to perfection!! I am so glad that I came across this event online and I will definitely book another!! Overall, we had an amazing meal and spent quality time together as we took in the beautiful sights!!!! I am looking forward to booking a stay here as I’m sure it will be just as great as this event!

What a gem! Tucked away in Rivonia this is an amazing spot. We had our year end function there and were truely spoilt. The food was also amazing. A must try if you love the flavours of Africa

Africa tranquility at its best. From the moment you walk in to the resort. It's a rare gem in Johannesburg. The food needs a whole new review on its own. By far the best I have had ever. This place is amazing. I love it. My partner and I came here for a couple's picnic. The booking was seamless, Jan was the best. He promised a special picnic and he delivered. Mike was our waiter for the day. He took good care of us and made sure we are having a good time. He accommodated all our special requests. The food was gooooood. The views and weather were the best. I would also recommend this place for year end functions, any celebration or a vacation

From arrival to departure we were carried on the hands by Mike and staff. The room was so beautiful and cozy. Loved the bathroom and shower. Food was divine at Mombasa restaurant. We had an amazing picnic setup for us on arrival. Lovely views over the river and surrounding areas. Will recommend to everyone looking for a great date night with their partners 💕

This lodge is the definition of tranquility! I really enjoyed waking up in the morning, listening to the birds chirping and watching the river. The food is also great. The kitchen staff and front desk were really helpful. A special thank you to Mike who took care of us in our time here :) (he makes amazing cocktails!)

Amazing experience. A proper getaway in the city.. The service was impeccable, the food was to die for. They catered to all our needs, and really go out they way to make sure we were satisfied. Definitely going back soon! Thank you guys for a memorable weekend.

This is a great establishment. The food is impeccable , the location is amazing and the service staff is very friendly. They also have free WiFi and generators for the common areas for use during power cuts. Their conference facilities are also well equipped. Overall, its a place that I would highly recommend!

😃 I had a very very beautifull room with antique solid sleeper wood shelves, bed, cuboards and tables. The overall ambieance and decor in the lodge is exquisit. Massive trees, tranquil garden next to a river. Very refreshing calm space in the heart of Jozi. It felt like being on a tropical forest holiday. Breakfast and dinner was outstanding, hearty and very well balanced flavours. Will definately reccomend this place for a good time off, perhaps a special event or business function. They have it all.

Africlassic Rivonia - River Lodge is a luxury private property, overlooking the Braamfontein Spruit in Rivonia, Gauteng. I decided to invite my best friend along. We had a great time catching up and relaxing next to the river. The interior and setting immediately transported us to the Lowveld. It was hard to believe we were still in the city. Such a gem in Rivonia. Johan has been very good to us and accommodated our team at literally the last minute. Very cosy and well decorated surroundings inkeeping with the theme. Many antiques will give you a blast from the past which is also why this place is so special. There is a beautiful open area with the river in the back. Excellent place to unwind! Great food aswell.

What a fantastic venue. Special night out with my wife on such a relaxing , comfortable and very African venue. The food was unbelievable and iur service straight from the moment we arrived till the time we left was perfect from Alfred. Great knowledge of both the wine and the food. He created a relaxed and happy experience and provided 100% service yet was never intrusive. Thanks Alfred we will see you again soon .
