Upon entering you are greeted by the lady at the bar with a hello how are you. Smiles very lovely atmosphere 😊. Food was superb 👌 carvery hubby had loved it and I had chicken tikka masala beautiful. Then pudding rocky rd sundae scrumptious. Highly recommended to go here food staff great thanks 😊

Went for the first time last week and the food was amazing, the service was really good, staff are so friendly ..and very efficient. Food is freshly cooked straight from the kitchen to the carvery. What a lovely place to eat. Highly recommended.

This was a great place to stop to charge the electric car and grab a light bite. Excellent food and such polite and friendly staff here.

After waiting for 48 minutes to be served our order as they thought we had starters (child's only) the hunters chicken I had was hard, the chips looked and tasted like they had been reheated along with the onion rings none of which I could finish. Lasagne that my daughter had was mushy and salad looked wilted and poor quality.. I have had to give 1 start as not able to give 0 stars. I would not recommend eating here.

Food has gotten better since last time I visited, both the carvery and menu seem better. Not amazing but decent. Place has a typical feel to it as many carvery type pubs.

First visit to this pub. I was so grateful to the staff today..I am diabetic and had a diabetic hypo and had to ask for help, without hesitation a member of staff helped me by giving me a bottle of orange juice, she understood what I needed and did everything she needed to help me. She even checked on me later to make sure my sugar levels were coming up. I will be forever grateful for her help. The whole experience was wonderful. The staff are all very friendly, all very smiley. We had a carvery which was so lovely, no complaints at all! I will definitely recommend this place and I will be returning x

Great service from Charlie, very warm and welcoming. Food was good. They had a nice place for my nephew to play.

Food was inedible, I had to force horrible fries down as I'd already taken insulin beforehand so needed carbohydrates to match my intake, not realising they would be that bad. They tried to rectify first fries but the fries they came with were just as bad only description I could give was they were like Mr sizzle outside of a rundown market fries see pics. Gravy was water with no taste made my chips swim. The last photo is what we left. Ate the burger and left fries from partners meal.. as I said had to force mine down to cover insulin intake.. all for £35..

Had a spur of the moment carvery tonight here and the only fault was the gravy was a little thin but that is my preference to have a thicker gravy. We had never been before but made very welcome. Everyone was friendly. There was plenty of room outside to sit and a play area for the kids to run around and play. Would definitely go again.

Booked table 'on line' no problems. Arrived and car park was not busy, so easy to park. We were greeted at the door and shown to our table which was as requested in a quieter area. Ordered drinks and food (Carveries) at the bar. Collected carveries and vegetables,. The food was to our liking. Paid at the bar with no waiting.

Booked a table online (very easy to do) welcomed quickly by friendly staff and escorted to our table with the request of by the window. Food arrived promptly and very enjoyable. Drinks served well chilled. Staff made sure we were enjoying our meal and if there were any problems not to hesitate in informing them. Very enjoyable evening.

Sundays is very busy but got served very quickly at the bar, I booked in advance and table was ready when got there. Food was hot and replenished the vegetables has soon as they were low. Very good service by the only person that was on serving the food .

My friend and I visited there today, for lunch. We both had the veggie burger. We both thought that it was the best one that we have ever had. It was delicious. The staff are so friendly too. Nothing was too much trouble. Well done all, we will be back

Really brilliant service from all staff particularly Donna, who went above and beyond to accommodate all of my family's needs that day (and there was a lot of us 19 in fact). When booking the restaurant we had requested a particular seating area and this was adhered to. All food was served delicious and hot all very good value for money. We are going to be using this pub for our regular monthly family get to get as they always serve us very well.

Welcomed by a very moody member of staff The young lady serving improved the customer service slightly! Waited quite a while for the main, and disappointingly a very small portion that was under cooked Stood around for 10 minutes waiting for someone to serve the carvery while the mains had already been served Not the greatest of experiences as I’ve previously heard good things about the place, needs improvement

This establishment is lovely. The servers are pleasant and welcoming and the atmosphere is beautiful and warm. Food was lovely too! Couldn’t say a bad word about it. The worker Donna was lovely and she went out of her way to make sure we had the best experience and had the tubs to take our leftovers home! Excellent

The first time dining at the Chestnut Tree would visit again. Had the carvery only two selection of meats was told after purchase. Both the turkey and beef were succulent and very tasty. There was a great selection of tasty vegetables and sides. Giant Yorkshire puddings. Highly recommended to accommodate all parties. Lovely friendly staff and a reasonable priced menu. 🍷👍

Our visit was at lunchtime, it was very busy, with only one member of staff serving behind the bar, bearing in mind the staff member was taking food and drink orders. I saw two other members of staff clearing the bar and dining area but inadvertently wasn't rushed to come and assist their colleague. The food and table service itself was good, and food was reasonable priced, but having to wait lengthy times to be served for additional desserts and drinks just made the overall experience negative.

It was lovely, very easy to book in the table for the same day. Staff were very friendly upon our arrival. The place was clean and welcoming. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. Ordering was easy and our orders came up quickly.

Visited for the first time and had a really great experience. Service was quick and friendly, and the food tasted great. The roast turkey would be my top pick. Parking is free and there's plenty of space. Will definitely visit again

This is my favourite pub! I booked at the last minute for a birthday meal as a family. The pub was so busy and was great to see the hussle and bustle of a pub again. It's such a lovely family friendly place and the staff are fab! Great carvery too ... We will be back very soon!!

Went here for a carvery today, was served at bar by Jodie, very smiley and provided very good customer service. The food was beautiful with plenty of choice. Would go again. Reasonable prices and great service from all staff.

Over the past few months I have visited several other establishments celebrating birthdays, anniversaries etc and can honestly say The Chestnut Tree was by far the best. From the time of entering we were made feel welcome by staff who were all polite and friendly. The carvery was amazing and I could not fault it one bit. My party of 10 people also enjoyed their food and commented how lovely the food, especially the meat was cooked. Our time slot was booked for 2 hours and although we ran a little over our time, we were not approached by staff to remind us of this. Our whole experience was very enjoyable and we will definately be returning.

Good menu and people seemed to be enjoying the Carvery on offer. Food OK, but the service was slow. Staff friendly.

The service & meals for the three of us was very good--efficient and polite staff. On the day the weather was extremely humid and hot and unfortunately the temperature inside the restaurant was very very high--we asked why the air con was not on, to be told that it would make the carvery food too cold. One of our party was my 88 year old mom who nearly passed out with the extreme inside temperature and had to be taken back home quickly to 'have a lie down'. and recover from the outing. We would not be returning if the same conditions prevailed.

There were 14 of use and all chose the carvery. The waitress was really good and told us that they would replenish the carvery before we all went up. The food was good and the puddings were great, they also catered for me being coeliac. Overall really good night.

So we visited here Yesterday 27-7-22 for My Boyfriends 30th Birthday Meal , staff was So welcoming up on arrival table service was great aswell , we ordered Food and didn't have to wait 2 Long the Food was really Nice decent portion sizes Overall just a Really Nice Pub Lovely happy well mannered staff 😊 deffiantly be visiting agen soon ..xx

Easy dining experience for the carvery. Staff very welcoming. Nothing was too much bother for the staff when I accidentally spilled a drink. Usually these things are met with sighs from tenured staff. Carvery was a good selection of what you'd expect :)

We were warmly welcomed and shown to our seats. We ordered our food and drinks from a very polite member of staff. Our food was served not long after ordering it. The food was hot, tasty, and plentiful. A lovely environment, nice staff, clean place, and an enjoyable experience. Thank you the Chestnut Tree.

First time here and I must admit I was impressed. Slightly discrete location as its just a bit away from the Wednesbury Gallagher shopping park. Beautiful exterior and brightly coloured interior yet still with the lovely pub feel. Plenty of car parking spaces and outside seating area. The food was surprisingly tasty even though the food looked pretty plain. Unfortunately, we had to wait over an hour for our food and most food items had ran out (but very understandable due to how busy it was!). Shoutout to the waitresses. They were so lovely and down to earth!

Went as a couple for Sunday lunch , was promptly seated , had the Carvery meats were fresh and although their was hardly any interaction with the chef he was efficient and the portions of meat were adequate, the veg section was well stocked and Yorkshires fresh , on visiting the gravy counter it was clean but gravy was weak , on consuming our lunch we weren’t asked if everything was ok with our meals , it was quite busy but we didn’t see any staff interaction which was a shame , meal was delicious though and we will definitely be back

Ordering a table via the website is easy & when we arrive we are greeted with a warm welcome. The service & Carvery meal is so delicious my partner & I go Every Sunday for lunch & have been for the last 4 years. We get on really well with all the staff & especially Kane the manager as he is so friendly. We look forward to our next visit at the Wednesbury Chesnut branch.
