This post is a long time coming. Fantastic restaurant in Anguilla. My husband took me to Anguilla for my 60th birthday in 2017 for 3 weeks. It was a much needed escape after a very heartbreaking 2016. Anguilla is beautiful! The beaches are simply fabulous. The restaurants there are a mix. Some very good, others ok. Sandbar was one of the best. If you are thinking of vacationing in Anguilla, do it. It’s a pricy island, but so worth it for the peace.

Ten of us went for dinner tonight. All of us raved about the food! The Greek salad and beet salad were excellent! We loved the lobster cakes and Mahi bites. I even ate the coconut creme brulee! The service was excellent. I am so glad we chose this restaurant on Anguilla! Eat here...you won't be disappointed! Thanks Sandbar!

Live music. Decent food. Fair portion - Tapas like. Tasty steak. We do like the fries, steak, and salmon. Lobster tacos is good except the shells should be crispier and warmer.

Go there for the excellent frozen rum punch, coconut shrimp and the incredibly yummy frites. All is fried but this is holidays, right ? Plus, the service is friendly, the place cool and the live music, very good. What’s not to like ?

Outstanding food and terrific atmosphere! The staff provided excellent service! The tuna and zucchini were amazing. Be sure to try the banana infused rum!! We took some home. Prices seemed very reasonable for the quality of food and the excellent service. Darren and his wife Alicia went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Enough said, just go!

The Sandbar has an array of delicious tapas. My personal favorites are the zucchini, broccoli, prawns, tuna and for dessert the flapjack. The libations were equally as good. The jalapeno pineapple and the sandbar

This is a beautiful spot...was there earlier this year but I haven't heard anything about if it's still functioning after the hurricanes. Update: I visited again in 2019 and had a great night out with my wife. The food was good and there was live music that made for a great experience. The service was great as well.

An amazing tapas bar, the drinks are EXCELLENT and the happy hour makes them the best deal on the island. They don't really have big dishes but you can all split a bunch of small plates.

Stumbled along this spot and so happy we did! So cute and right on the beach. Love the live music!

Absolutely charming little spot. Crafty cocktails, great selection of small plates, friendly and attentive service, and lively atmosphere with live music. And right on the beach for a post-dinner stroll.

Wonderful beachfront restaurant! Ordered 10 tapas, all exceptional with great sauces. The Maui bites, shrimp and fries (w/ garlic sauce), in particular were delicious. Deserts capped off a wonderful night.

SandBar is another wonderful gem in Sandy Ground that just hits the mark on all ends. The service was wonderful, we even found a coupon for a complimentary cocktail in our car rental which was truly a nice touch but my father got the Piglet cocktail which was fabulous and I got the coconut water mocktail which still is probably hands down my favorite drink on the island so far. The tapas were great for sharing and the ambience was amazing. A little fact is that they have cats around the entrance that were so so sweet and gentle and was nice for me as I missed my furry friends at home. Definitely a great spot to visit when on the island!

We love this place. Everyone is so nice and attentive. The food is amazing and one of the best desserts we have ever had. Best lamb too.

Our family ate here twice during our week-long vacation. It’s on the beach at Sandy Ground overlooking the bay. Great location! Our family has all sorts or weird dietary requirements, so tapas are a perfect way to meet our needs. All the tapas plates we tried were scrumptious! We had some of their cocktails too - delicious (and good alcohol pours too!). Both nights there was live entertainment: Omari Banks and Jennique. Both were fantastic. Highly recommend this place!!!

We are having a wonderful dinner and enjoying the music and singer. All the small plates are excellent!

Had the best dinner and dining experience at the SandBar during our vacation! Ordered drinks and tapas and had a beachfront table with great view of Road Bay/Sandy Ground. My favorites were the lobster tacos, kung pao cauliflower and the chimichurri steak tapas, but the shining star amongst many stars was the johnnycake sundae! This was the most delicious creation I have tasted, and I could have eaten 10 more! In addition, both the chef and the owner came to our table to talk to us, which we enjoyed so much, learning about the history as well as the inspirations for the wonderful spice choices within each dish. Wish we had found this gem earlier in our trip, as we would have frequented it daily! Definitely going back on our next visit to Anguilla!

Shared four of the tapas, zucchini, flank stake, fries and barbecue slider. All selections were excellent. I have never experienced a simple raw zucchini with that much flavor. Good stuff. Had the mango for dessert accompanied by the chocolate cake shot and a very delicious cup of coffee. Great place, simply relax and enjoy the great service, food and the evening sunset.

Best dining experience EVER. The coolest people, vibes, live music, and food made with passion and love. Excellent vegetarian options and cocktails. Our dinner here will be one of our favorite memories in Anguilla and we wish them all the success…an unforgettable experience.

The lobster tacos were loaded with lobster, and the johnny cake sundae is the best dessert on the island. All the small plates are perfect for two to share and are delicious. They have a big wine list, and all fairly priced. Great service, great food, and great fun.

Wow! First of everything was amazing, the staff is super friendly but the view really deals the deal! I would have never expected the best French fries I’ve ever had to be in Anguilla and you have to try the sliders and almond parmesan salad!

Great restaurant. Right on the beach. Amazing selection. Lots of tapas and drinks. The mahi bites were great. The drinks were great. Definitely recommend.

Great location - nice ambience. Wait staff were attentive. Hostess was a bit fussy about seating - acted as though a reservation was necessary, but they were at 50% capacity. Food was excellent - small plate menu. Music started at 7:00. Overall, great experience.
