I was a long time member on and off with Lifetime and as they continued to increase the membership the services decreased. Initially when I joined I saw the most attended too gym that I had ever stepped foot inside. They vacuumed the tops of the lockers which really impressed me. Fast forward to 2020, I saw a decline in the upkeep of the gym. Although staffing may have been limited due to the pandemic (I am not sure of this…only given it consideration) the gym was noticeably nasty. Dust and dirt was thick underneath the machines. The machines are white so any dirty will stick out like a sore thumb. I took my own Clorox wipes to wipe down the machines I used and the black dirt easily came off the surfaces. I was in the gym this month on July 12 and noticed a large cockroach running back and forth across the floor as I worked out. I remember walking into a shower once (during my membership) and turning around to walk out as the shower was filled with the same hair and dirt that was there the previous night I walked into that same shower and decided to shower at home. This gym expects a single membership of $199 monthly and yet remains to offer subpar service for its expensive membership fees. The thought of my even considering to renew my membership (as this was a visit for reconsideration) is insane. I have never encountered a cockroach running across any other gym that I have visited and their membership is less than $30 monthly. Lifetime I’m not sure what the deal is here but you need to do better. (I had to screenshot the video I took of this cockroach running around the equipment and floor as I was unable to load the video.)

HORRIBLE!!! DEPLORABLE!!! A horribly overpriced gym!! There’s nothing “luxurious” about it!! It used to be a really nice place to be but the pandemic killed it off!!! They now have HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT and EVERYTHING is ridiculously overpriced!!! Both hot tubs are never working properly! The cleanliness is a 3 on a scale of 1-10! and in an effort to push out black members, they have now taken down the basketball goals and replaced it with “pickle ball”!! I can’t WAIT to go back to L.A. Fitness!!!!!

First things first, it is extremely difficult to get pictures of the inside of a gym without appearing to be taking pictures of the patrons inside. I've tried my best to not include any pictures of any patrons and was thus unable to capture any pictures of the sauna, both inside and out, the hot-tub, or the two full-size basketball courts. Secondly, the price. This is an expensive gym. Being in Sandy Springs and being marked as a Diamond Club makes the monthly dues that much more high-end. Well, what's the difference between the demarcations of Diamond vs. Platinum vs. Gold? Honestly, not much. The Diamond locations are a bit more exclusive, typically located in more high-end areas, and offer the ability to go to any other gym location or type. In addition, the Diamond locations are kept cleaner and are more prone to machine upgrades. This gym is definitely vibrant and teeming with activities. They have very flexible hours, being closed from midnight to 4:00 AM only. The gym is extremely clean on the inside and there is ample parking both within the deck and directly adjacent to the gym entrance. There are two swimming pools, one indoors and one outdoors. The one outdoors has a giant slide similar to one found at water parks. On the third level of the gym there are two full size basketball courts and a plethora of squash courts. The free weights and machines are located on the second floor, in addition to the cardio equipments which it was noted all have their own individual televisions. The first floor has the locker rooms, which flow easily to the indoor and outdoor pools. Inside the locker rooms are razors for shaving and other toiletries for convenience. In addition, towels are complementary and are placed throughout the locker room. The first floor also has a full end cafe with Peets Coffee and smoothies available for purchase. Overall, a very nice gym with all the amenities you could ask for. Is it worth the additional premium? I'm not sure, but if you're in the market for a high end gym in Atlanta, I would definitely recommend looking into this location.

I canceled my membership in December 2021. I have been calling once a month since December to confirm this cancellation and speak with a manager. Each time I call my manager is not available and I am told someone will call me right back. I have been charged $240 for three consecutive months after I canceled. Absolutely terrible customer service. Quick update: Its now May 9th. I have called twice more, promised that my account would be cancelled, and guess what. Charged another $240 in May. The level of incompetence is truly amazing.

This place is so dirty. I mean Filthy Dirty. Every where I look it’s over flow of dirty towels piled up 3 feet high, hair and tissue in spa, around the spa. In steam room it’s hair, towels, toilet paper , ugh! dirt as if someone came in the spa with tennis toes . Band aids in and out the pool. Hair all over the pool floors. And you tell me if I want to outside to the pool you want to charge me $100 added to my membership ? Ha! Nice try. Will be canceling TODAY. $289 a month , this place should look like a county club, not rest area stop on the side of the high way. Do better .

Tried using the free day pass I got online but the manager on duty said that free pass was not eligible at this location. I figured a gym with this status would honor the free pass received from the Lifetime main website, but they did not. Then I decided to join the gym to receive a week long trail. The manager I was speaking with advised he was not cool with me signing up to receive the one week trail if I planned on cancelling afterwards. A week long trail period is a benefit offered by Lifetime so I did not appreciate the manager advising it was not okay for me to take advantage of this benefit. In the end, the manager did let me get a day pass. But I was disgusted with the way I was treated. I loved my one day experience, but decided to never go back because of the poor experience I had with the manager. I expected better service. I would not recommend this location based on the staff

Management is awful, they don’t listen to members suggestions just pretend to… They only care about volume getting you in the doors then drop the ball on service. They took out basketball after they sold hundreds of people on it to replace it with pickle ball for literally 7-8 older people because their “numbers” told them is was a growing sport 🤣, and gave ALL members 1 week notice!! Now over 300 members are left to play with 2 goals, and day camp/Events/ and trainers take president to the other half. Bate and switch… It was a move to get limit black members out of their gym because most black younger guys played there. Very slow towel service, Sauna never works and or not hot enough.. hot tub is always out of order…OVERPRICED FOR NO REASON, 0 deals or specials for loyal long term members..Very arrogant/fake staff!! Please go else we’re don’t waste your time or money bring your family!!

I have been a member for several years now, and I enjoy the gym and amenities at this location. But things can be improved. I can say that things could be much better especially when it comes to housekeeping. I'm OCD about the cleaning period. The windows, doors, machines, floors, etc do not get cleaned on a daily, weekly, or monthly, which isn't good for staff or members. With covid, this facility should be disinfected on a regular. Some of the staff are extremely warm and welcoming with a smile which is always such a pleasure, especially at the front desk. I just hope going forward that housekeeping is more on the daily side, especially the walls, locker rooms, mirrors, and floors throughout all areas (yoga for sure). Please check out this location come for the staff but stay for the different classes.

I have been a member for almost 10 years and I have never had any issues or certain predicaments. Customer service has always been great, people have treated me with kindness and respect including front desk employees, well up until now! I know people come and go but lately the front desk employees customer service has been below mediocre, I have no desire to see unwelcoming, bitter or disrespectful staff. I pay my monthly bill, I’m not there for free! I would give it 5 stars because there are still some people who are kind and helpful but that’s not accurate and I am beyond generous here!!! Please hire people who really love their job and are passionate about life in general. It is super disappointing!!!

A decent place to exercise, stretch and lift weights. My biggest complaint is from the fellow gym users; many of them are extremely inconsiderate of others and believe the entire gym is their private home. Leaving your drink, phone, wallet and keys sitting in the middle of the floor is not only foolish behavior but also asking for something bad to happen. Sitting in the pool and jacuzzi area sauna is usually peaceful but many people are too scared to go ten minutes without their tablet or phone and opt to play annoying videos for everyone to hear. These people are truly pitiful as well as terribly inconsiderate. There have been few changes here and there. The towels are now considerably lower quality than before and the filthiness of the locker rooms is getting worse because the staff don't enforce rules or warn sloppy members.

This Lifetime location was clean and kept up. The limited contact with the staff good and they were helpful. I'm glad this location had the AC cranked, my local Lifetime likes to keep it toasty for some reason. The one downside was the lack of Woodway treadmills, but the treadmills they had were decent, but I'm a creature of habit so I'm not going to knock them for that.

I have a family membership, two adults and two children a 6 and 2 year old. I pay almost $400 per month. Today i decided to take my two year old swimming in the inside pool due to it just being a little too cold outside and didn't want her to get her sunburn. A female staff makes us get out of the water because she said the pool is closed to families. Keep this mind that no one else is using the pool and it's 11am. Soon afterwards the same thing happened to another father and his daughter. Lady is rude. Thank you lifetime fitness for ruining my daughters day.

! I scheduled a tour for 1/9/2022 at 2PM. I arrived at 2:00 and was told to wait 10 minutes. We waited 30 minutes and then the employee who was supposed to give us a tour said to go walk around on our own. We found that odd as we specifically inquired about classes and specific machinery. She said she would come and visit us. After taking a lap around the building we went downstairs to find her and she was sitting down chatting with a coworker at the front reception. This is such a horrible and unfortunate experience as I was looking forward to joining and learning about the gym. To be brushed off and ignored and wasting our time I would hope is not the way you wish to have your customers feel. I hope the manager can address this and someone else doesn’t come and have their time wasted.

Some of the personal trainers who work their need to focus on their client and not other people trying work out. There’s this one trainer that always stares at my friend weird every time she is there and it is really self degrading and rude. He needs to learn how to mind his own business… A lot of them do like some people don’t wanna feel judged when they’re working out. Specifically garrett needs to mind his own business

I’ve been an on and off again member for about 3 years. & I can honestly say that this club is top tier. They have so many opportunities for almost each stage of life and you can tell that the staff that work there are very intentional as well as present. If I could rate this club more than five stars, count me in!

Been a member for over two years now and this place has been great overall. For the pricey membership though, there should be an outdoor hot tub such as the hot tubs the other locations have! Update: had to drop to 2 stars because i pay roughly $200/mo for a lifetime membership but the $90/mo membership at the gold clubs is much better than the diamond club in all aspects. - The hot tubs at this location are not hot enough and always in maintenance - no outdoor hot tub (the gold clubs have them) - they replaced the two upstairs basketball courts with one pickleball court (barely anyone plays this sport) - no hate but just dont see why this is a “diamond” club location and why the membership is so pricey especially when this location is < than all the other locations

Update: Besides that initial unfortunate mishap and now spending my first couple weeks here as a new member, I've very much enjoyed being a member. The trainers, the amenities, childcare center, the classes...appreciating and enjoying all of it. I would recommend a membership here. Only bad thing is they're losing quite a bit of staff to the new Buckhead location. :/ Hoping new staff are at the level of experience and customer service as the people here now! Welp, I've just signed up to be a member today. Left excited about it, but I've been trying to get in touch with the Member Concierge and have left two voicemails because I cannot access my account on the app. I've called the front desk numerous times, held once for almost 10 minutes, and now can't get ahold of anyone. I'm trying to register for the parents night out event tomorrow night and am trying to coordinate with my childcare, but this inability to reach this facility has me second-guessing being a member now. Not a great first impression.

They Love taking your money! So I was SOLD a membership over the phone by 3 different sales people for $60 a month. All 3 quoted me the sales price and this was through a corporate membership through my work. All I had to do was use the gym 6 times a month. To my surprise my monthly billing was much more. The manager informed me that was incorrect and there was nothing they could do. That seems to be their standard answer. Since my discount is based on the amount of times I use the gym and that is by my check-in’s. I have noticed not all of my checks ins are registering either. And what’s their answer. Nothing I can do for you. And, to add to it-they tell me it depends on what screen the desk is on if it registers or not. Are you kidding me?

One of my favorite places in the world — my oasis. The childcare is incredible and I feel so comfortable knowing I can leave my child there and take a break, exercise, go to the cafe, go to the sauna. It means the world to a new mom. Thanks so much for this blessing ❤️❤️❤️ would recommend to all parents

I was visiting the Atlanta area and was able to use the Sandy Springs Life Time Athletic Club at no extra charge. The Sandy Springs club did not disappoint ad it was very similar o to the three Massachusetts clubs I've used. I used weight equipment one day, swm laps the next.

I am giving this a 3 star review because I saw about 15+ cockroaches in the pool area come out at once.... It was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen and at this gym. They nees to get this cleaned up and have those cracks sealed, asap! I love the gym but this threw me off and having my little one running around in the pool was not clean. Lifetime Management, please get this handled and controlled, you have kids running around and this is not sanitary.

I love Life Time, and always will. I worked at this particular location as well, and had a wonderful 3 years changing peoples lives. The reason I’m rating a 3 vs a 5 is ever since they got rid of their sales team they do not care about their members, former members, or potential members. They’ve hiked their prices to $500 for a small family, they changed their policies, and no one cares anymore if you’re a member or not. No one wants to help. This only bothers me because i used to work for the company, and know this didn’t used to be the culture. They’re so money hungry now.. it’s disappointing and upsetting to see the place i planned to let my children grow into amazing humans, turn into robotic-lifeless shell of a club. Still also 3 stars, because it’s still unparalleled facilities, swim lessons, and camp.

Great facility . Staff is amazing . Facility is clean, Machines are always working and it’s a great place to be. Had the opportunity of meeting a team member there, Brandon Davis. I seen him so many times around the building, I thought there was 5 of him. Working and also acknowledging members with a big smile. We had a conversation about cologne and some of his workouts. Keep up the great job Lifetime Fitness and keep pushing Brandon.

Me and my husband came here to inquire about a membership. The woman began telling us about it.. the phone rang and she then abruptly tells me to hang on and proceeds to talk on the phone rather than help us finish the signing up process. For 200 a month per member, please do better. Could they not have been placed on hold? Is this the policy? The phone is never more important than an in person interaction. This happened at approximately 1:45pm today. It would be wise to address the level of customer service/respect. Back in 2020, it was a personal office consultation as well. I guess now the front desk is all you get. LA fitness representatives show more courtesy.. surely left a bad taste in my mouth right off the bat and will not be joining Lifetime.

I called to get clarity on the membership selections and Dominique was super helpful and very pleasant on the phone today at 8:45am. I also went to visit this club with a day pass last week and I truly enjoyed myself! It was very clean and when I walked in I was greeted by a beautiful young lady with short curly hair, glasses, and a pink blazer on Valentine’s Day. The only reason I subtracted a star is because their sauna was out of service which was 80% of the reason I purchase the day pass. Any how, I loved the atmosphere and it was pretty nice!

Overall a good club… my one complaint is that though I love spin class and that’s the main thing I do, they play music so loudly it’s been unbearable at times. The orange earbuds provided fall out easily and don’t provide much noise cancellation, so I purchased noise cancellation AirPods to wear… without them it’s SO LOUD.

I’ve been a lifetime member for the longest and unfortunately when it comes to this so called “diamond location” its a joke!!! Their weights equipment are so so old/ rusted and they only have one of each so why is it I’m paying TWICE the amount of any other lifetime fitness? Oh now I remember because of the location NOTHING else. The $150-$155 monthly charge doesn’t hurt but let me feel like I’m getting what I’m paying for. I use to go to an other $29 gym that has newer and more the one weights equipment.

This place is amazing! My family and I have been going here for years. The people are extremely nice, it’s clean, and you never run out of options for the day. The personal trainers are extremely helpful with tips on form and exercises even if you never use their services. The operation hours are great, and it’s tucked away for privacy. I don’t understand why the rating isn’t higher. I most definitely recommend it!
