    Machines constantly broken and stay without repair for months. It’s a complete lottery as to whether or not the sauna works. AC was broken almost the entire 2022 summer. They brought in fans instead of repairing. Sometimes the pool is open and sometimes closed. They like to keep that a surprise. Typically they will put a sign up so you get to find out after you sit in traffic for hours getting to the gym. Same carpet in gym for the past 15 years. Constantly out of paper towels.

    Unfortunately I am giving this location a single star. At one time I would have given 5 stars. There are many staff members here who I’ve grown to love and respect. Mrs. Charlene is incredible for childcare and took amazing care of my kids. Adrian is great at her job and tried to help me with the issues I’m about to describe. Monique is an excellent trainer and I learned so much from her. Unfortunately I got tricked out of $1,000 here and I want to explain my experience so that it does not happen to anyone else. I signed up for a year of personal training here but knew that I would only be able to use it for 8 months because we were planning to move. When I told the person who I signed up with (not the personal trainer by the way, someone who worked at the front) that I knew I would only be able to use 8 of the 12 months he told me that it wouldn’t be a problem and it was easy to get out of your contract if you were moving somewhere where a LA fitness wasn’t within 20 miles. Well we moved somewhere where we don’t have an LA in >20 miles so when I canceled I expected it to be easy like I was “sold.” Well it wasn’t. I canceled my membership in July which I thought would take care of canceling training as well. Instead I was charged for August, September, October, November. Again, this is not the trainers fault this is people in the office selling me on something that was untrue. I called many times and never got to speak to any one in charge until October (today) At that time he told me I could pay a cancelation fee (half of November) to get out of my contract and they could TRY to get me reimbursed for past months. This is unacceptable, and slimy. I told them they need to stop telling people they can get out of their contacts when it’s obviously not true. He said well it COULD be true but may take a few months. Could and a few months are also unacceptable. It has already been since July. This is a great gym and I would workout here again but I would recommend to anyone doing personal training here to only do month to month. The 6 months or yearly contracts are designed to swindle you and not to benefit you and you will not get out of your contract if they sell you as such. Again, I had many positive experiences here especially with the people named above but this experience cost me so much money, time and has just dampened my experience so much that I’m writing a review and I never review anything.

    The sauna is STILL down. Says “under construction” on the door but have not seen any construction in weeks. The sauna is the reason I joined this gym. I am paying for this amenity and they have shown no effort in rectifying this ongoing issue. I will update my review when I obtain a satisfactory resolution. Thank you!

    The ceiling in the pool area has not been fixed for over a month (leading to the pool being closed) and the hot tub jets are not working either. We pay good money and the owners need to fix the problems.

    I like this location because it is very close to where I live and I feel that most of the members are older friendly people, but nothing works. I have to memorize which treadmills work properly, otherwise I am unable to use the incline feature. The machines are old and outdated or simply do not work. The bathrooms are dirty, and smell. I decided to try out the dunwoody location since it’s not too far outta my way. Hopefully more machines work there.

    Horribly dirty. There is also no way the AC works, or if it does, it's horribly insufficient for a gym this size or the owner is cheaping out and running it hot. Working out before the sun is even up, there are only a few people, and it's stiflingly hot in here. I'm all for a good sweat but this is just miserable. Stuff has been broken for almost a solid year, some pre-covid, even. Go elsewhere, drive the 5-10 extra minutes to go to literally any other location.

    I can’t believe they have four stars. The “manager” (using air-quotes because I can’t believe anyone gave this child in a man’s body this role) is hostile, comes on strong, and mean. My friend and I arrived with our friend who is a MEMBER and gave us 2 GUEST PASSES, which we scanned in the front, provided our IDs, and thought we’d just proceed to workout. We were so wrong. The manager on duty (wouldn’t provide his name, but was on shift 3/15/22 at approximately 9:00 pm along side the front desk agent, John, who was unproblematic; the manager’s description- African American, skinny, at least 6’0 tall, large glasses, patchy beard, gray hoodie, and cornrow braids) insisted that we take a tour of the humongous gym, with only one hour left to workout. We kept insisting we just want to workout with our friend, but every time we tried to walk away he kept guiding us to the next room, so we remained polite and followed along, but the whole thing was very uncomfortable. Then when we finally try once again to join our friend, he starts guiding us to the sales area telling us to have a seat. We ask “Is this necessary? Can we just join our friend? We’ve already signed in!”….again remaining polite. He retorts loudly “Is this yal’s show? No! I’m running this! HAVE A SEAT!” I’m thinking to myself, this is borderline verbal abuse at this point and manipulation. I never thought having a guest pass would result in this kind of experience. If I had any inclination of joining LA Fitness, your manager on duty this evening has ruined that! If you value kindness, good customer service and a comfortable non-hostile environment to workout in, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR! DO NOT BECOME A PATRON OF LA FITNESS!!! * In hindsight, I wish I recorded this encounter. I have never experienced anything like this in my life , smh!!!

    Updating the review bc there are some major changes going on that are turning patrons off at this place. 1. Needs updated machines and new carpet bc it’s disgusting. I have seen/videoed roaches on equipment 2. At 9:45 they now turn off the lights, which is likely an OSHA violation for the employees as it’s a safety hazard for everyone. It’s also just horrible customer service (patrons likely want the 11pm closing time back) 3. Screaming and shouting “we are closed” starting at 9:55 is rude —we get it bc we are all in the dark bc you turned the lights off even tho you are still open and we are trying to just see at that point 4. Again closing routine is aggressive to the point I’ve watched staff clean and put away equipment people are actively switching between and at 9:30 pm this has happened. This place is getting worse every week and it’s sad but I’m likely going to have to change locations. Many of the patrons at night are long time members are all talking about how horrible the staff is becoming. The staff at this location is great, but I’ve watched other locations get newer equipment and remodeled and this one looks like it’s stuck in 2005. It truly needs a refresh.

    !!! Do not go here, Do not patrionize. LA fitness!!!!! My vehicle was broken into in daylight. I am mediately informed the management company and LA fitness management. Both companies stayed it on record that there was nothing that they were were going to do about the situation. Sadly this is what happens and no one wants to take accountability in making sure that customers are safe and experience is nothing less than great. For LA fitness to say that there was nothing that they were going to do was heartbreaking. I lost children’s items, pictures, things that I cannot replace.

    My fiancé and I own a fitness apparel brand and LA Fitness in Sandy Springs let us set up a pop up to help promote our brand. Management was super nice and all the staff was very welcoming!

    I canceled my membership a few months ago because the equipment was always broken and the place was dirty despite the number of employees that they had sitting around playing on their phones. I returned today to discuss another membership and told to wait a few minutes and that the next available sales person would call me up when they were ready. So 15 - 20 minutes pass and I noticed that the guy at the first desk finished helping this couple. So expecting to be called next, I continued to wait patiently. Out of nowhere, this girl walks in the door says she wants to cancel her membership and he assisted her right away. The girl working the front desk never even bothered to tell any of the sales people that I was waiting to be helped. Needless to say, I left. It frustrates me that customer service is nonexistent and that this gym is trash because it is conveniently located less than 5 minutes away from where I live. I wish companies still cared enough to actually fix issues like these. It seems that this may have been a blessing in disguise though considering it seems that their equipment is still always broken and their employees haven't changed either.

    The people at the front were very nice, helpful, and friendly. They hooked me up with a good plan. One downside, machines are a bit outdated. Still does the job though. I'd come back, not for the great machinery, but for the good service I'm receiving. Also, it's spacious, with a lot of machines, and zero time waiting even at rush hour.

    I’m membership for almost three years, I always make my payment in cash, but in the last 4 months I have had many problems because of this, the person in charge of receiving the payments !! named Isabella !! It requires me that I pay cash, I must do it before my payment date, that if I do it on the 27th, which is my date to pay, it would be taken as late, and that I pay $ 5 dollars fee, that I should do it at least 4 or 5 days before, in addition to this, he demanded it of me screaming, raising his voice against me, that made me feel frustrated. But I felt more frustrated when I called the corporation and the person who attended me did not give an importance to my claim and did not give me any solution, and due to the rules of this person in charge they are charging me $ 10 dollars in my monthly payment, this is frustrating . When you expect to have support as a client, but on the contrary, they give you back in the main administration of this club

    Update 10/1 I only come on Wed evening to attend Haley yoga class. Very relaxing and mindful yoga practice. Love her style. This location still needs work. Carpet stinks and needs completely remove and place with a more durable floor. Women suna still have metal nails pertruding from wall and their are loose rails. Very dangerous and metal nails should completely be replaced.. I give 2 more stars for Haley class. I signed up about 3 months ago at the Mt. Vernon location. I rotate between this location and Mt. Vernon gym. Sandy Springs gym is not clean. It is disgusting and disappointing. The carpet is old and smells! I make sure to wipe down machines/weights before working out. But the carpet makes the gym smell bad. The sauna has metal nails sticking out of the wood so you get burned. I contact corporate and they replaced with the same metal nails and the new wood has a rough textured that's scratches your back and arms! This is insane! A hot sauna should not have metal nails. On top of that lately the temperature in the sauna has been so hot that your bare skin burns to the touch. That's too HOT. It has never been that temperature. I'm reaching out to corporate once more to see if this is resolved. I would go to the other LA Fitness but there sauna has been out for 2 weeks👎 but they have the proper fixing of a hot sauna

    Wanna sign up? Takes 5 minutes and you can do it online anytime! Wanna cancel? You have to come in person during limited hours 5 days a week. Or print and mail your cancellation form and hope it arrives in time like we live in 1800. Seriously guys?

    The equipment is old and does not have any maintenance. During summer AC does not work. I only go there sometimes because unfortunately it is the closest one to my house.

    I am in love with this location. The staff members are amazing. They are helpful and willing to answer any questions or concerns promptly. The gym is extremely clean and sanitized which says a lot about management. I highly recommend this location if you are in the area.

    The staff and management team at this LAF is an A+. Hellos and good-byes at the door. They are happy to accommodate your requests and questions. They make you feel welcomed. The facility is very clean. I enjoy working out here and chatting with the regulars.

    I love how big this location is and the variety of equipment. You don’t have to wait too long [if at all] to use machines you need but a lot of the equipment is old rusty and dirty. The restroom needs upgrading also.

    great gym, great staff. Josh and D are extremely knowledgable on the gym, the memberships and very personable. this gym feels like a home when you arrive until the time you leave. The staff is always cleaning to ensure the location is clean while you workout

    Love this location, been attending daily for years. The staff is super friendly and engaging. The community of members who attend in the evening are all super friendly and are willing to share machines at peak times. The general manager Isabella is also very welcoming and does a great job of responding to members questions or concerns. I have also had several friends sign up due to Isabella's welcoming and positive personality alone, great work!

    On November 19th, the lock was cut off my locker and my wallet was stolen. The offender took my wallet and spent over $500 at Publix on gift cards. LA Fitness can't help the police identify the person because he walked in the gym and never checked in or identified himself. This is not the first time this has happened recently either. Staff is really bad about actually watching the front desk and making people check in, making it the perfect place for criminals to come break into your locker and steal. I loved coming here for the past couple of years, but I am not comfortable working out somewhere that doesn't take security seriously.

    Joined this gym to use their sauna after moving further away from my old gym and it being very inexpensive. This place is a complete dump. There is trash everywhere, the bathrooms and showers are disgusting with mold and trash throughout, the equipment is outdated and much of it broken or not working properly. The one thing that I actually joined for, the sauna, is never cleaned and the thermostat broken so is dangerously hot, 220 degrees. I went earlier this morning and the sauna had trash all over the floor and broken glass in it. It’s honestly amazing this gym is allowed to operate. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

    Gym is not over crowded - they have a personal trainer program that sounds very interesting. Currently considering fitting it in my budget. Mike the trainer is a very good communicator and focuses on meeting your personal goals.

    The Sandy Springs LAF is one of the cleanest and best managed in the Atlanta area. I work out at multiple clubs throughout the month depending on where my work schedule takes me. Sandy Springs stands out. The staff has been super helpful and the manager, Dee, walks his gym and asks how you are doing and if there is anything that he and his staff can help you with. Very customer focused.

    Started going to the location out of convenience. I cannot run for exercise anymore due to major knee surgery caused by a faultless car accident circa 2019. I initially went for an AM session with a friend that’s a physical therapist before the workday to swim some laps but the pool bottom has brown stuff grossed me out so decided that was a first and last time. To be fair, most gym locations have this. Eventually started going to this location for workouts vs Dunwoody that might have 2-3 ellipticals scheduled for maintenance at any given time. In the past months at Roswell Rd there initially were 6 of 12 ellipticals down but found 2 that would turn on and didn’t make a clicking noise…also seen them take off the maintenance signs for potential gym members weekend visits. Lastly, you have about a 30% chance of staff being nice to you. On multiple occasions they were rude to a very sweet VIP guest trying to decide if they could possibly budget a membership. And on multiple occasions they’ve been careless or ill-mannered. I truly wish they could relocate the staff at Dunwoody..or at least the head manager to help improve things ☹️ wishing I could approach the manager here about concerns but how that’s gone in the past with smaller issues I don’t feel comfortable approaching that individual. 3 stars because they are part of the network, location alone 2 stars Pros: Upgraded sauna benches 11/2023, mostly consistent cleanliness, convenient location, nice members Cons: Often broken cardio equipment, most staff not nice or helpful, no weight scale in locker room

    My first visit to this location and it was wonderful.The young lady working the front desk, Tiana. She made a wonderful impression on me. She was very friendly and made me feel welcome. On my way out I spoke to the manager, Ashley and complimented her on her staff. Ashley is a really professional manager. Thank you Tiana and Ashley. I highly recommend this location.

    Oversized locker rooms, compared to most LA fitnesses. The workout floor is spacious, the facility was clean and the crowd is diverse.

    Tye renewal process abs price varies as of this year with. Online there’s a price Thats different than in house. They do not offer all the yoga classes as they did pre covid. It’s been almost over a year since then.

    We go regularly to work out and swim. Great facilities and super employees! Recently the pool has been out of operation for more than a week. That seems like a long time. Thank goodness there are options.

    Josh is one of the most effective closers and respectful people that this location has hired in a very very long time. He is very stirn, and respectful, as well as the staff that is corporation. When it's time to close, it's time to go. I would always respectfuly recommend this location to anyone interested in going to a gym with great people..

    Love this gym! Visited for the first time with a friend and was greeted so kindly by Josh at the front desk. Pleasant experience out the gate!! Gym was clean and not too crowded for a Saturday early afternoon

    Great staff especially front desk. Clean. Could get better with managing basketball environment buy we are getting there. Also, super spacious for all the different workout areas.
