As a Brit the décor and ambience are on point: wooden bar that extends throughout - Wetherspoons style booths and tables, Young's brewery style wall decor. Perhaps spoiled a little bit by big sports screens in every corner and upbeat dad rock soundtrack. Menus designed to look like a newspaper, newkie brown beer mats, I was even trying to work out if the bar staff had deliberately dressed a bit like they lived in IG1, Essex. Best part is they have made you feel like you're hanging out in a pub, rather than the strict Americana bar feel, I didnt feel bussed at any point. Beer selection is fine, Guinness, Newkie, Stella - would love to see some real ale though. Fish and chips is... like all the fish and chips you'll eat in this state: basically fish fingers and steak cut oven chips (they tried!) but conspicuous for its absence were any kind of peas: garden or mushy. By 11pm on a friday night had got pretty slow so dont expect a knees up into the wee hours - but overall a solid place for a pint.

So, we were by the Perimeter Mall and decided to visit The Duke (usually go to the King George, which we love and is closer to home). My wife and I were the only patrons there when we entered, but two gentlemen came in shortly after. After ordering drinks, my wife ordered a Philly Cheesesteak and I ordered their British Cuban. When the meals come out, they were wrong. I received an entrée another patron ordered (reminder…there were only 4 of us in the establishment). After the mix up, my meal finally arrived. Unfortunately, after two bites, I realized something was wrong, this was worst Cuban I have ever been served (after the gent behind the counter told me it was fantastic…hence my reasoning for ordering it). Mustard - almost nonexistent, no pickles, and I thought no Swiss cheese. I informed the individual behind the bar about the Cuban’s shortcomings and asked for him to please take it off the bill, as we did not have time to wait for a new sandwich to be prepared. He said , “OK, but let’s knock this out while you’re here”. He came back a minute or two later with the same sandwich, but with a couple of cold pickle chips thrown on. He told me there actually was Swiss cheese on the sandwich. I opened the Cuban and sorted through the contents to find two small paper-thin transparent strips of Swiss Cheese. I then pushed the plate of food to the edge of the bar and finished my drink. My wife’s meal was also quite disappointing, she took a bite or two and could not eat anymore. We also pushed that plate to the edge of the bar, to signal to the bartender we were finished. He looked at the plates of barely eaten food and took them away with no comment. I asked for the bill, which he promptly provided. And guess what, the Cuban was still on the bill. So, we spent over $60 for 3 drinks and 2 sandwiches that each of us could only stomach two bites of. Just poor service and awareness. Not once was there an apology or inquiry as to why the meals ordered were barely touched. We'll stick with The King George Tavern

Since Owner would like me to edit my review, I have taken the liberty to remove a star. Duke menu clearly states Beer Battered fish and it is not. You used to do it properly and you have moved over to crumb based which is terrible. Unfortunately Dunwoody Tavern also went the same way. And I was merely pointing out like other reviewers had suggested that offering garden peas with Fish & Chips would be more traditional. I will leave in that your Pretzel bites with Buffalo sauce are a must try.

The Duke is one of my favorite places to come visit, eat, and have a beverage or two! I’ve been a regular since March of 2021 after moving down here from Michigan. Really appreciate the hospitality from Ashley, Brent, and Faith! The cooks are great too as they’re always quick with their orders. On Saturdays, they host Music Bingo (aka: sound check) which is a fun, interactive reason to keep coming back. I’m almost always winning, haha! 10/10 would recommend 🤙🏻

6 of us met at The Duke last night and we were very pleasantly surprised. The ambiance was outstanding. It wasn't overly loud, conversation was easy and enjoyable. Food portions were generous. We were given remotes to the back lounge area to choose the games/channels we wanted. JADE did everything she could to make sure we had an excellent visit. And we did. We'll be returning.

We always have a great time at the Duke. Music Bingo is fun, there's always sports or whatever you're trying to watch on the TVs (if not, just ask!) We have asked for menu modifications several times for various reasons and always been worked with. There's generally something fun going on for holidays or special events (looking at you, Christmas party and whiskey tasting events!) It's a great stop after work and have a drink bar, no one is judging you and it's cozy and casual for friends to gather.

Just had my first meal and a few cocktails at the Duke in Dunwoody since moving to Altlanta Metro! Impeccable service. Delicious, fresh food and great atmosphere. Overall, the best experience I’ve had at a pub! Can’t wait to come back. This is my new spot. Ashley was my bartender and she was professional, friendly and attentive

Irish pub near perimeter mall with a very spacious indoor dining area. This spot is a part of the Dunwoody Restaurant Group so it has a menu similar to some of the other Irish style pubs in its restaurant group. This was my first time visiting this particular restaurant and I only drank. I inquired about any sparkling wines that they have and they only had prosecco. My friend ordered a Guinness. We didn't see them pour the Guinness but it appeared to be done properly. The place had alot of nice comfortable seating and plenty of TVs. Its located right by Fogo de chao so they share a parking lot. The amount of parking does not match the size of these two places. When I arrived, the lot was almost completely full. However, there weren't many people in The Duke. They need more parking, especially since it appears that another restaurant is opening in that lot. I would go back but be prepared to circle the parking lot a few times to look for a spot.

Have always wanted to go to this restaurant, but based on this experience we will not be back to this restaurant. The parking lot is always full for this place but apparently this is only because of Fogo De Chao in the same parking lot. We arrived at The Duke at 615 pm on a Friday night and there wasn’t a single other customer in the entire restaurant. This was our first red flag. We had started with the calamari, which was cold and severely overcooked. This was our second red flag. We then shared a Gorgonzola salad which the server happily split into 3 separate bowls for us to all have our own bowl. The salad was the best food we had all night. My husband had the cottage pie, it was basically inedible but we had not eaten all day. The mashed potatoes tasted like dishwashing detergent so I’m guessing they did not wash their plates properly. My mother had the meatloaf. This may have been the worst meatloaf any of us had ever had. The mashed potatoes were pure garlic and nothing else. Very disappointing. I had the fish n chips with an extra 4 shrimp. Everything was overcooked and basically inedible. We each ate about half of our meals purely since we were hungry. All 3 of us would most likely have sent everything back if we were not the only ones in the restaurant. We left around 7:30pm and there still was not a single other customer in the entire restaurant. We have always wanted to try this place but unfortunately this was one of the worst restaurants we have ever tried in the Dunwoody/Sandy Springs areas. We will never return to this restaurant. Best of luck to the owner!!

I love the staff and their selection of beers. Location is perfect, right on the main Ashford Dunwoody road. Plenty of space at the bar, and reasonably priced too.

Great place to meet up with friends or coworkers and grab drinks. They have a great option for drinks and the European pub vibe is cool. Only negative was the there was no music or sports on the TVs. But overall great atmosphere and plenty of bar space.

Highly anticipated base on reviews only to be disappointed. There was a putrid smell as we entered the establishment which would remind you of vomit. Fish and chips were undercooked. My granddaughter's grilled cheese was essentially a cheese sandwich warmed in the microwave. Smallest Guinness I've ever drunk although it was good. Service was good but not great. There was a sign saying they were short staffed. Hopefully not like we experienced all of the time.

The Duke has a vibe of a very upscale pub with comfortable bar stools and friendly people. The drinks and food are delicious. Everyone should come by for their happy hour small bites and drinks. I would definitely recommend this pub for an enjoyable experience.

Part of a local chain of British pubs, The Duke is an appropriate representation of many British pubs I have been pleased to enjoy in Anglia. It is a place for food, drink and conversation. Food is good; beer and cider on tap - Smithwick, Guinness, Strongbow, Stella Artois, Harp and many others including local microbrews.

Wanted to try this place out. Sadly first impressions are everything. Friday with less than 8 patrons at 5pm. The bar table was very dirty and there was dead bugs and debris on the floor under the bar stool. Not going to post pics but me and my friends left immediately. They open at 4 the place was disgusting at 5!!!??? Someone did not clean properly the night before. Sorry Duke I was looking forward to giving you a try.
