The perfect place to go to beat the summer heat! This is the only place I go for frozen custard, where it is always fresh, thick, and delicious, and their toppings are always on point too!

Nice spot for speciality ice cream treats. They have a drive thru and window walk up service. No indoor seating be careful as the drive thru wraps around the entire building with no barrier between it and pedestrian patrons. You literally need to walk across the drive thru lane to get to the service window. Seems like a design flaw given the way Florida drivers are. Be sure to hold your kids and keep an eye on them if you are eating in front of the window. Ice cream. Ad custards are good.

This place never disappoints. Frozen custard is a delight and Andy's knows how to make it. I had just a cup of vanilla frozen custard, but there are many flavor options. I prefer the basic to fully experience the custard texture. The service was quick and friendly. The pricing was reasonable. There is a bench seating outside to wait for your order, but not really any seating for eating your selection. This is more of a grab and go place. There is plenty of parking in the large parking area. If you've never tried frozen custard, I highly recommend trying it at least once. It's like ice cream meets creme brûlée.

First time visitor. Heard amazing things and was excited to come and try it out. Daughter and me Order butter pecan concretes, and I think they forgot our order on the counters. 20 minutes later they were calling our order out..and our concretes..were more like soup. The flavors were good but to have completely half melted ice cream was not was I expecting after the long wait. I will have to try it out again..but will probably stick to my Culver’s as my go to…

Usually excellent custard but 2 out of the last 3 times I had an issue. 1 time i ordered a pint and received the wrong flavor. Ok things happen. on 3/17/23 I ordered a pint and i went home and put it in freezer. went to eat some on 3/19/23 and I tried to take cover off and the lid separated and part of it staying adhered to the custard. I peeled off that piece of the lid and the custard didnt look or smell right and had freezer burn. I checked the packaged date and it was from 2/15. I called corporate and was told that the product should be sold withing 2 weeks of packaging and i needed to speak to that store. So I was sold and given a product that was beyond the experation date and could have made my family sick. Now this isnt just a mistake, this is blatant negligence that could have made someone ill. I dont think I will be going there anymore. ( follow up - called the store 3:53 pm 3/20/23 and asked to speak to owner or manager. I was told by the female I was speaking to that she was the manager and when I asked for her name I was told that she would not give me her name, "I dont do that". She asked for the date and time of the purchase and cash or card. Gave her all the information including all the info on the side of the container as to date packaged, the flavor and the initials of who packaged it. She said she would look into it and call me back and that they just got busy, so she would need to call me back. When I stated that corporate says its only good for 2 weeks and I was sold a product that was over a month old and people could have made people sick, I was told again that they just got busy and she would call me back - WITH LITTLE OR NO TONE OF CONCERN OR CARE IN HER VOICE. So now I am to wait for an unknown manager, who refused to give me her first name to call me back when it is convenient for her. I AM DONE WITH THIS STORE, WONT SPEND A DIME THERE AGAIN. Here are 3 photos. The 1st shows the freezer burn and discoloration, the 2nd shows how the lid came apart when I tried to take it off, the center flat surface separated from the rest and stuck to the custard and the 3rd shows the information on the product and that it was packaged over a month before purchase. This is way beyond a mere slip up, this is neglect that could have made people sick. After speaking to corporate and the owners rep, they really did try to make things right by me. I stopped in 2 times since then and no complaints. So upgraded them to 4 stars. Nice to see a company care about its customers.

Man what the heck... I had to take my "ice cream" home and freeze it because I couldn't eat it. Or am I supposed to drink it?? The waffle cone is soft AF too, good thing I have an air fryer and I can toast the cone while I wait for the ice cream to freeze. Twistee Treat definitely set the standard this is bad lol

My wife, my friend, and I drove 40 mins to get here cause we love Andy’s so much! It’s always worth the trip and yes it may be more expensive than you’re used to for frozen custard but it’s worth it worth it worth it! I would recommend this to anybody and I hope they can put a location closer to us one day. Absolutely delicious!

Very good at fast service. Not like a normal ice cream place it is quite the experience. So many different things to try would highly recommend.

Gave it my 3rd and final try last night hoping the last 2 experiences were flukes to no avail. I ordered concretes but essentially got milkshakes with how liquified it was. I don’t get the hype - is it just always hit or miss?

Ice cream is amazing! Has many variety of flavors and toppings. Must visit for some great desert! Area outside available to sit and eat (no inside seating), and a drive though option.

First time visiting and unfortunately might be my last. Was super excited about this place as it was busy and menu looked good. Ordered a strawberry Oreo milkshake and not sure if they just forgot to add the custard or if by the time I got to the window the custard in it was fully melted. The line was long so timing from order to window took a while so it is possible that by the time I got it it melted. But why still serve that. You can clearly see how watery it was when it was handed to me. You would think that they would have the timing for this down already, guess not.

Window and drive thru went quickly. Cashier was able to clearly axplain differences in my Sunday. My order was ready in a minute or 2. Soooo yummy and definitely recommend the Peach Dream Concrete 😋 🍑

I've been coming here for years and what started off as a 5/5 has now dwindled to a 2/5. I hate to see great corporations like this being butchered by rude little children. The family and I come 2-4 times a month & the customer service is horrific. The young lady that wears the yellow glasses should not be taking orders EVER. Rolling of the eyes, constantly asking,"Is that it?!" After every order, dead morale. PEOPLE WAKE UP, your custumers keep you in business and the last time i checked money spends the same everywhere. Who wants to put up with bratty little kids that can barely take an order. Then we wonder why A.I. is taking over everything? Please make these guys go through a 4 week course before getting the job. Going to give andys a break after the way the family and I were treated today. Great products become nothing once poor customer takes over.

Icecream is great. Staff was awesome and friendly. Lots of parking if you can find the entrance (it's all the way in the back). This is the poorly designed parking entry.. Why wouldn't you design it so that you could pull in from the street? I'm sure this stops a lot of people from making spontaneous stops in. You kind of have to want to go there.

Best frozen dessert ever! Everything is positively delightful. I have & will continue to recommend Andy's! Now I'm craving it again! 😫 Will need to wait until tomorrow when they open again. Wonder which one I'll get. 🤔

We love Andy’s!!! We were a bit disappointed today when we went through the drive through and ordered a cream soda freeze to be told there was a policy change about no longer getting the extra cream soda to go along with your freeze We’ll still return, it just seemed like an obvious money saving tactic for the company.

I need to be more clear with ordering and the cashier needs to slow down a bit. Otherwise the visit would have been stellar. Rating raised due to fantastic customer service after the fact.

Great custard. I honestly love ice cream especially when I can support a local buinesses. Wish they had one closer to my house. I am a very tough reviewer, I don't usually give 5 starts right off the bat, but this company is very responsive and wants to make sure they improve. That is what costumer service is all about.

This location always gets it right. Some of my favorites are The Boot Daddy, peach concrete (seasonal), and the root beer freeze. The line is often very long, especially during the summer evenings, however, it moves pretty quickly. Always worth the wait!

This is a nice custard place. The prices are a little steep and the portion sizes small. There is a drive-thru, a walk-up, and a few red benches in the front if the establishment. There is adequate parking and Andy's is easy to locate.

The young man who took our order had a hairstyle that literally (and yes I know the meaning of the word) covered his face. It was really very distracting and unprofessional. I can't imagine having my face to the public with his/her face nearly completely covered by hair from his/her head. The desserts were good but even the largest one was tiny, and the prices HUGE in comparison to what one gets. First and last visit all rolled into one.

I came here during a heavy thunderstorm and was surprised to see a line wrapped around the building!! We walked up to the window so we wouldn't have to wait as long. Friendly employees helped us order a few milkshakes and recommended several menu items to try. I went with a strawberry Oreo milkshake and fell in love with it. Definitely come here on a hot day!!! Update: I came another time and got the Jackhammer, which is like a s'mores milkshake. Still a great place!!!

  • 5/5 Adan P. 1 year ago on Google
The flavors are good and have good variety and mix-in options. The only issues I have had though is that last 4 visits, I have ordered a jackhammer and I find different toppings mixed in which ruins the flavor for some of it. Also had cases where the cup is barely filled for any size above small. So I feel like I wasted my money. Edit: I have changed my review from a 4 to a 5 star due to their proactiveness on fixing the issues. I reached out on my feedback and was promptly communicated back on my issues and they even offered some sweet treats. The next time i went in, my order was received perfectly and I am hoping that the standards stay as such.

First time in my life 43 years I've ever tried custard. Their product here is fantastic, absolutely delicious! If you're an ice cream lover or overall in general have a sweet tooth, you will love Andy's Frozen Custard! They make the custard just like an ice cream parlor wood there's Sundays dishes that are comparable to Banana Splits smoothies with fruit anything you can do with ice cream Andy's Frozen Custard does with custard it is surprisingly wonderful! So flavorful the different flavors and fruit absolutely explode in your mouth like a fireworks display! You will not be let down and you will not be disappointed, whether or not you want to sneak off for a treat to yourself or to treat the whole family for family time and a blast with a little ones you will love Andy's Frozen Custard a little pricey but worth every cent!

Good custard, extremely busy location on a Saturday night. I had a small cone and wow it was small. The custard was very creamy I just with there was a little more.

I've been coming here a few times a year since 2019, and except in a few places, there is really no other place quite like Andy's. The frozen custard is thick, refreshing, and flavorful. The options seem endless. I usually prefer just getting a chocolate milkshake, but my wife gets the James Brownie thing. Even that is good! I wish there were Andy's all over the country, so I didn't have to settle for mediocre ice cream. This is *the* place to get ice cream in central Florida.

The custard at Andy’s is top notch! I’m so glad they opened a location here, having previously become a fan in Texas. My favorites are: the key lime pie concrete, the pumpkin pie concrete, the strawberry shortcake sundae, and the boot daddy concrete. Don’t forget about the shakes! I love the chocolate malt shake with extra malt powder! And get your dog a treat too with a to go dog scoop 🐶

Really like Andy’s Custard. Service seems to be getting slower. Went on Friday night about 8:45 walk up. The drive through was being serviced to the exclusion of walk up trade. I was there for about 20 minutes without any service at all while at least a dozen cars were served.

    If you love Custard (frozen) then you NEED to stop in and get some of the best Florida has. Great service, good portions, and wonderful staff, it is worth a stop;

First time going here. They have unique flavors and mixins. Staff was friendly. There are various custard options to choose from. You can even create your own custard combinations. Try it for a unique and different ice cream/frozen custard experience.

  • 4/5 Bill S. 2 years ago on Google
The ice cream was good. Really good. However the wait was way to long, the people working there did not seem very happy, and everyone was just kind of hovering because there was not structure with the ordering process.

  • 2/5 Scott C. 2 years ago on Google
Went to Andy's in Sanford last night with my son. I was very disappointed. It was close to closing time so I believed my order was rushed. I ordered three different types of custard and it seems like there was a lot of lumps in all three of the custards. They put an overwhelming amount of nuts and cookie chunks in all three orders. One order was totally wrong. It totally took away from the taste of the custard. For $19 I was very disappointed in what I got.
