    I truly love Popeye's spicy chicken with the Cajun spices. I have been a fan since the ’80s and love the food. I had been inspecting a 101-year-old home in Orlando and missed lunch so I was really hungry. My wife asked if I could pick something up on the way home. This was not my first visit to the Sanford location but traffic was backed up on I-4 so I took the back way home instead, I stopped here instead of the Orange City location. I ordered the 12 piece family meal with mash potatoes, coleslaw, and an additional large mac n’ cheese. While sitting in the line, I could see all the old grease stains around the back door and the dirty garden hose left out for someone to trip over. I was thinking, they should screen this area off if they were not going to keep it clean. The sight honestly killed my appetite. Just then, my wife called and asked if I would get an additional large mash potato and large coleslaw. The size of the sides seemed to have been getting smaller over the years or maybe it is just my family is growing. When I got to the window, I asked the drive-thru cashier if I could add the extra items. She slammed her open hand down on the stainless steel counter and went off to get the manager. The manager said yes to adding the two extra items at the window. The cashier gave me the new total and it was only $3 more than the first total $38. I knew something was wrong but did not want any further conflict with this woman. The food was good as usual but the chicken had an old oil flavor aftertaste. I will do my best to avoid this location in the future even if it means staying on I-4 when it is backed up at the bridge. The last thing you want after a long day and driving in traffic is a confrontation over your dinner.

    I know there's a lot of negative reviews about this Popeyes. Granted, I waited over 30 minutes for my order, but when I got home and tasted the order the chicken it was well worth the wait. I don't know what it was about, but this was the best chicken I've ever had from Popeyes! It had more flavor than I seem to have experienced in the past. The Red Beans and Rice, Cajun Fries, and biscuits were all very tasty, too. The manager, Bridgette, I believe her name is was very accommodating as we had to wait a long time for the chicken to be ready. I also highly recommend the strawberry biscuits. Sometimes, I think you just have to make the best of it, and that's what I tried to do in there and be an encouragement.

    The Popeyes on 17-92 in Sanford, Florida left a lot to be desired. While the chicken was acceptably fried, the service was appalling. The employees seemed disgruntled, merely going through the motions to make ends meet. I was ignored for 10+ minutes before being rushed into an order. They failed to provide any ETA for my meal. For a seasoned fried chicken establishment, I expected a more streamlined system. I strongly suggest an overhaul of the service model, as proper time management is key to customer satisfaction. I used to work in this industry; data-driven expectations for order times and crowd sizes were commonplace. Please innovate to survive. Popeyes please provide a better system in order to keep the brand alive otherwise it will feel like other companies and eventually close down like the one on 46.

    They always always have an attitude as if you are taking food from their personal fridge or money from their pockets..The quality of people they are hiring is sub par. Work somewhere you enjoy ....or can atleast pretend to enjoy ....until your shift is over. You enjoy getting a pay check!

    The service at the Popeyes have always been bad!! I really don’t understand why they just don’t get it!! I don’t think the corporation cares about customer service and that’s why the employees do what they want to do. The cashier was nice.I hope they keep her up front and train the other team members!

    It never fails with this place! Never gotten a correct order from here. I ordered the three-piece dark meat with mashed potatoes and a large iced tea. My daughter ordered the nuggets and Cajun fries and a large iced tea. My daughter also reiterated twice that she wanted fries with her meal. Needless to say, we sat at the drive-through window for approximately five minutes. They finally gave us our order and forgot about our two large iced teas. So we went home and our order was wrong! Unbelievable! Instead of getting a three piece that I paid for, I got a two piece with my mashed potatoes and my daughter got her nuggets in new fries. She also ordered sauce for her nuggets which we never got her and my order did not have a biscuit but hers did. This place needs to have some thing done to where the management can make sure they’re all in the staff exit program. Turned around and came back to the store but, they were closed. I guess at closing time they really don’t care what they give people as long as they get rid of it and if they don’t have enough they just short people. I want what I paid for and I didn’t receive it! This is a disgrace!

    Foods great, as far as garbage fast food goes, but the people that work there are AWFUL. They act like you're bothering them, and that's IF they're even open. I've had them tell me they were closed at 7pm on a Friday night. c'mon....

    Ordered 25 Ghost Pepper Wings. They were not fresh, and dried out. I did file a complaint because these Wings are the bomb when they are hot and fresh. Usually they are fresh but today, not so much. I wasn't greeted by the staff at the drive thru... a little rude.

    I went to experience the awe of the spicy chicken as I've been hearing good things about it recently. Lived close to this location for many years and have passed by without even a thought of going in. I'm a healthy eater most of the time so it's not a place I would go too often. As to the experience, it's exactly as bad as I would expect. The sandwich took 5 to 10 minutes to get. I know it wasn't even made with spicy sauce, it seemed like just mayo to me. I couldn't get the counter girls attention just to get my friend some BBQ let alone get any hot sauce for mine. So I will probably try it again, but so far it's not worth the trouble to even bother with them. This is why Chick fil A wins in customer service!

    Gave me sweet tea when I asked for unsweet twice, forgot to give me plasticware, then gave me three of what I'm assuming were the smallest pieces of chicken they had in the kitchen. KFC is right down the road, just go there.

    Poorly managed. No biscuits, no spicy chicken during lunch time, the manager is using the only register that can take orders to figure out how to clock an employee in. Front counter gentleman was courteous and the food was what you would expect. The wait is horrible. Not fast food.

    They were out of spicy breasts, booo, but the mikd was perfectly cooked. I almost went back for more. The drive-thru was quick and friendly. However, the speaker really needs to be fixed so as not to slow them down when it gets really busy.

    This was the worst ever today ! 8 piece nugget , over cooked , burnt and dry ! 2 piece spicy , again burnt and dry. Roll , hard as a rock ! Charged me for a drink I didn't receive. That is after waiting in line for 30 plus minutes !!

    Went this to this location between 5 and 6 PM last night & ordered a 16 piece family meal then waited in line over 30 minutes for my oder. The car at the window in front me finally started blowing her horn & trying to wave the employees down because she'd been there as long as me. I swear they just either forgot the line or were ignoring it because all she had was damn sandwich! I pull up they take my payment, no receipt given, 5minutes later bring my oder, still no receipt, had to blow my horn & wave them down to get them to come back to window, asked for receipt & was told we can't give you one! I get home & my $55 --16 piece order only has 11 pieces!! That's 1/3 of my fricking order missing & of what was there half of it was wings!! We're 10 miles from this place, so didn't go back but apparently you can't call them either because the phone is permanently off the damn hook. I'm beyond pissed because basically we were robbed.

    I would not recommend going to this Popeyes. I placed my order inside and it was after 8pm as I had just finished at a high school football game with my cheer squad. All I asked for were 2x3pc chicken tenders meals, 1 with red beans and rice and 1 with mac and cheese. The lady asked me to repeat myself 3 times, not because she could not hear me or understand me, but because she was not paying attention. Shw was too busy talking and joking around with the other men working in the establishment. After I was able to place my order, I was told I would have to wait as they had to cook my chicken, of which I had no problem with. I was not offered my receipt or my cups for my beverages. I waited 30 minutes only to find out that there was chicken already ready the whole time. Also when I asked for my drink cups, I was told to help myself with the cups on the counter that had lemonade syrup spilled all over them. The chicken was lukewarm but still had the original Popeyes taste and flavor. My red beans and rice tasted like it was watered down and had barely any flavor. My biscuit was cold and hard as it tasted like it had been sitting there for about half the day. The best thing about my meal was my drink as I was able to choose it myself from the machine. Sorry but I will not be eating at this popeyes EVER again!!!!!!

    Pulled into the drive through Tuesday 5/17 at 9:37 pm. They ignored us at the order speaker and after saying "hello" 2 or 3 times, they said to pull around to the window. We tried to order a chicken sandwich, but she mumbled that they only had a couple of chicken biscuits. We inquired and she said everything was already cleaned up.....it was 9:40 by now. They close at 10.... I was very disappointed that the employees were too lazy to service customers until the advertised closing time. So we went somewhere else I hope the manager reads this =(

    This store is terrible. Every single time I go my order is never ready. The employees do not care if you’re waiting or how long you’ve been waiting. You can barely get attention to let them know what you need. There is zero sense of urgency and everyone is just walking around talking about other things than the ten+ people’s orders that are standing in the dining room. Tonight there were cars lined up at the front door with drive thru orders that were not completed. The store was dead!!! One lady had to get out of her car and come inside…she would’ve never gotten her order if not. I waited 10 minutes (after I informed the employee I was there) before the order was even started. Then they were out of half of the items needed (which I doubt they were actually out). I will do everything I can to avoid this store and you should too.

    OK, so it's Popeye's, a chain fired chicken place. Pretty standard stuff, right? Ah, but no. I've been to some Popeye's nearby where the "chicken" pieces were so small that you barely got on bite of meat out of them, or where they were so old and dried out that you could hammer nails with them. Not here. Consistently large, fresh, juicy pieces of chicken that Popeye's can be proud to serve. Fast and courteous service, too. It's a very popular location, with good reason. This one is worth going out of your way to get a good fried chicken meal.

    Overall good food. But make sure you double check your order, they always seem to forget something. Been there 3 times in past month and a half or so and order family meals. Either biscuit's we're missing, and another time both biscuits and large sides.

    Have been going to this Popeye's since I was a kid. And it still is the best Popeye's. I would go to other locations and it just wasn't that good. Their food is delicious, service is always on point and they are always very polite.

    I dined in tonite & ordered the ghost pepper wings & Cajun fries. The wings were perfect, just like I thought they would be & the Cajun fries were OK. The biscuit was not my cup of tea either, but my daughter's enjoyed them, so fine. The real "Rock Star" though was Andrea! Give this woman a pay increase, PTO, and good benefits for real! It was a busy night for the staff, but she was assisting customers like no tomorrow. Yes, there were some people ahead of me waiting, which was normal for around dinner time, 7p, but I swear once it was my turn to order/get my food in hand it was no longer than a minute! She had a Leader attitude & she is the reason I'll return to this Popeyes.

    Got the $10 2 can dine tender meal. Ordered online, no issues. Selected we would go in to pick up and the doors were locked. Waited in the drive thru for 10 minutes before flagging down an employee who got us our order. Sides were good. The chicken tenders were disgusting. Hard to bite into, the meat was basically all muscle and extremely tough. No flavor and the pieces were tiny. Even though the price was awesome, not worth it and will not be returning.

    Lady at the register left the counter to go outside to get other workers. Left me and another customer at the counter. Came back and acted like I was a bother to take my order. They had a 10 piece mixed advertised on a poster on the front window for $14.99. She acted like she didn't know ow anything about it. Just stood there and would not check. We left and went somewhere else.Worse customer service ever. Very bad last time to. Forgot items on my order. Told me to come back later. Then acted like they never talked to me. Never again! I would give them a 0 if possible.

    Treated with kindness. Food hot and mac and cheese 50 cent up grade cost. I had a coupon for the family meal. A employee gave out coupons to another customer and had a stack of them available. Did not offer one to our family 😕. The senior employee did that. All customers matter. Will return.

    Look in your bag befor you leave!!!!!! Went to Popeyes on Thur 7/28/22 at 11:45am on 17/92 Sanford FL the girl that helped me was doing fine. Then her Manager just steped in for she was wasn't going fast enough took over my order didn't even ask her or me..or even look at the coupon I had. She gave me a 2- 2 piece not the 2- 3 tenders I order. On my 30 min lunch break couldn't return🙄..2 stars💥..The young girl was great!!!!!...5💥stars

    We finally made it to over to get one of the chicken sandwiches. We got regular & spicy. The meat was huge! The sauce makes the overall flavor "rich" and a bit heavy. We liked well enough to try again. My only negative is there's a distinct taste and feel of fry grease after.
