The Museum of the History of Immigration in Catalonia is located in the town of Sant Adrià del Besós (Bcn.) in an industrial area, but just a 4-minute walk from the Verneda metro stop (L-2). It occupies an area in the old MASÍA DE CAN SERRA, remodeled in 2004 to house this museum. Three zones can be differentiated: 1.-Can Serra farmhouse. It houses the documentation center and the temporary exhibition hall, where all kinds of exhibitions related to immigration are held. 2.-Migrate Space: pavilion and exhibition installations in the garden, according to the Mizien Arquitectura project, where we reflect on the current and future of migrations. 3.-El Andén and El Sevillano: located in the garden, this is a museumized train car from 1956, in which immigrants arrived in Barcelona in the 50s and 60s.

It is an interesting topic and the exhibition is structured in a way that makes it very attractive. In addition, it also explains the phenomenon of immigration in Catalonia, which was and continues to be a source of attraction (although with notable differences in origin). But the state of conservation leaves much to be desired. I suppose that the funds do not arrive because there are other priorities or because it is a museum with little influx / success of the public. A shame.

Visiting this museum takes you to understand how millions of people moved from different parts of Spain to Catalonia and visiting the train that is in the museum takes you back to those times. Don't miss this museum....

(Translated by Google) Even without having done the guided tour, this museum is one of the best I've been to (in Catalonia). It is conceived in a very interactive way where all the senses come into play. As well as all museums should be today. The only downside I would put is the location, which although I understand the meaning I think is not a very wise decision to make it known. More promotion should be done.

An essential place to visit, where many concepts about immigration, historical and current, remain very clear.

Very interesting, especially for the people who came to Catalonia between the 40s and 60s of the last century because it is a trip to memories that should not be forgotten

We found out about its existence a day before and it was worth it. A curious little museum that tells us a story that continues to be repeated today. We are all driven to seek a better life. The El Sevillano wagon is a trip to the past. Interesting and immersive.

(Translated by Google) The schedules on the Internet and even at the door of the museum are not real. A space of culture and so beautiful in Sant Adrià difficult to enjoy since it is difficult to find it open. A pity that it is not well used. Let's see when they make an effort in that city to progress in certain aspects.

(Translated by Google) The best part about the guided tour, I don't remember the name of the man, but all the details of the museum and the walk through the surrounding neighborhoods were spectacular.

It is living history that keeps repeating itself and where the students are protagonists (Original) És un espai museogràfic que tots els alumnes haurien de visitar. Gracias!

😠 DO NOT GO TO THIS CAR PARK!!!! We had just arrived in Barcelona and stopped to take a photo of the beach. We parked our car, we we’re a 10 second walk away from the car, we could even see it. We heard the car alarm and suddenly fireworks were being set off. We went straight to the car to see all off...
