A striking example of Moorish-inspired architecture and a beloved local landmark.
Love this park's vibe. It's small but full of energy... dancing, music, and vendors.
Beautiful park with plenty of shade of mature trees, pet friendly, and plenty of space to relax.
The Kiosko is nice but is lacking maintenance.
Out of nowhere, I saw this massive, Arab-style pavilion—something totally unexpected in Mexico.

Beautiful structure. Interior is closed but you can see it well from the outside.
The Kiosko Morisco, located in Mexico City’s Santa María la Ribera neighborhood, is a striking example of Moorish-inspired architecture and a beloved local landmark. Originally built for the 1884 New Orleans World’s Fair, this intricately designed pavilion features vibrant geometric patterns, arches, and latticework. Set in a peaceful park, it's a popular spot for locals and tourists alike to relax, take photos, and enjoy cultural events. A hidden gem away from the main tourist areas, Kiosko Morisco offers a unique glimpse into Mexico City's diverse architectural heritage.
It is a pretty building, they need a placard in front explaning the relevance of it, as it has some interesting history. Not to mention it is build completely out of metal.
A walk in Sta Maria la Ribera is always a delight. Good places to eat and drink. I sat and relaxed by the kiosk with this gentleman.
One of the most defining features of the Kiosko Morisco, for me, is the glass dome topped with a bird sculpture. The surrounding park is lively, filled with people relaxing and taking in the scenery. Since it was my first time visiting the Alameda neighborhood, I made it a point to check out this monument.
I stumbled upon the Kiosko Morisco by accident while heading to the Geology Museum. Out of nowhere, I saw this massive, Arab-style pavilion—something totally unexpected in Mexico. Up close, you can see it's mostly made of steel tubing, with intricate decorative elements. The entrance was taped off, but since a group of locals was clearly doing a full photo session inside, I figured it would be fine to step in as well. That might have been a mistake. About 15 minutes later, as I stepped out, I was greeted by police officers. Without much explanation, they demanded to see my documents—apparently someone had reported a “suspicious gringo,” aka me. In the end, nothing serious came of it. They jotted something down and let me go, but the whole thing left a bit of an aftertaste. So… cheers from CDMX

Love this park's vibe. It's small but full of energy... dancing, music, and vendors. Also surrounded by restaurants if you prefer a sit-down meal.
one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the great city of Mexico, its streets are beautiful.
El kiosko lleva mucho tiempo cerrado y no le dan mantenimiento, debe de ser prioridad ya que es el icono de Santa Maria la Ribera
The Kiosko is nice but is lacking maintenance. The area is peaceful and lunch at las jirafas on the corner of the park is a must.
Not a place to trek across town to see, perhaps, but a lovely stop if you are nearby. All cast iron, made in Pittsburgh in the 19th century, moved several times until it was erected here in a sweet park in 1910.
A gorgeous structure in the midst of lush green gardens with several fountains. A truly beautiful historical treasure.
Majestic structure centred in the heart of one of Mexicos most beautiful park. Packed full of gorgeous gardens, shaded benches, soaring palm trees, and more dogs than you could imagine, this is a must visit for anyone visiting the city.
Está descuidado
This place is absolutely beautiful! Before you even walk up to this gem, the park alone is full of amazing things. Fountains, kids playing soccer, workout classes and just regular strolls. The kiosk was closed when I went so I did not get to go inside but I got wonderful photos from right next to it.
Good place for an interesting and fun Sunday walk. Dog friendly and lively. The museum of geology is right next door and a few food venues close by. It's great for an inexpensive afternoon.
Eh. I’m sure at one point in time the kiosko was impressive. Now it is less so. It’s in a sad state of upkeep. Chipped and fading paint. Broken concrete. A love little park but the kiosko is not so fresh.
It's a nice park adjacent to neighbourhood. It seems many people gather here throughout all day. Pet friendly park! Good for a short stroll anytime.
