It’s stunning beach especially during sunset. A lot of dogs are off leash and the beach is far from any road and pretty secluded. Some beanches are on the beach but they just add good character to this beach. I visit this place frequently with my doggos and they just love this place!

I live locally. I'm inclined to give this a bad rating to keep the tourist flow limited. However, beautiful beach and usually not crowded - even during the summer. That said, parking can still be limited. Also, you walk down and up an incline to get to/from the beach. If mobility is an issue, go elsewhere.

Absolutely stunning views of the pacific and the Channel Islands. Quiet and tucked away from the 101, the Surfliner goes by and just a beautiful beach with nice trails to take a quick walk on your break

Beautiful! Place! No butterfly at this time! The Right time to visit and find butterfly there is from October to February, but the beach is just next to it! Plus camping grounds too! Which very convenient! I love the idea of just walk From there to the beach, I enjoyed my time just walking and picking some shells!

Great little stop over between the 101 and the 5. Fruit stand has a large assortment of fresh fruit and other goodies! Restaurant is nice and airy with delicious food. Make a stop on your way to or from the bay area. Enjoy!

Great place to spend the whole day. The rangers were very friendly too. There's parking (first come, first serve), bathrooms are available and open to regular public, there are showers to rinse off the sand and salty water We reserved our spot here so we could grill here with the best beach view and the horizon, also we were able to get electricity here by reserving picnic tables. I recommend you to do the same if you really want to get the full experience. Definitely a great time.

This is my favorite dog Beach, though plan to scrub tar off your feet. There is a bluff that blocks the beach from the road. Not very crowded on a weekday, plenty of parking.

Great place to bring the family. Parking can get full quickly on the weekend. Just know you will get some tar on your feet. Baby oil takes it right off.

If you enjoy driving up/down the 101 and seeing the paragliders and or hang gliders, PLEASE help preserve free- flight at Bates. Contact Carpinteria city council and plea for Alternative 10, as their choice will destroy this for EVERYONE!

Great pit stop as your driving north with kiddos. Was a bit gloomy but sun came out soon after. Water was cold but we got use to it. Clean restroom access and some benches.

Love this beach . It was a bit secluded and we found a cool fort built by locals out of drift wood. Very cool

I love this beach. It is absolutely beautiful 😍 the only reason I give it 4 stars is because of that ramp you have to walk to get up and down but that's just the perfectionist in me and I'm lazy. Honestly, the ramp isn't so bad. Parking is fairly easy and very close. I can't wait to go again.
