I had the pleasure of visiting the Santa Barbara Pier and I can confidently say that it is an absolute gem that should be on everyone's itinerary when exploring the picturesque city. Nestled between the majestic mountains and the glistening Pacific Ocean, the pier offers an enchanting blend of natural beauty, recreational activities, and delectable dining options. Upon arriving at the pier, I was instantly captivated by the stunning views that unfolded in every direction. The clear blue waters, coupled with the breathtaking backdrop of the Santa Ynez Mountains, create a scene straight out of a postcard. Whether you're an avid photographer or simply looking to soak in the beauty, the Santa Barbara Pier offers numerous vantage points to capture the perfect shot. One of the highlights of my visit was strolling along the pier and taking in the soothing ocean breeze. The wooden planks beneath my feet added a touch of nostalgia, reminiscent of classic seaside promenades. Families were enjoying quality time, couples were taking leisurely walks, and the general atmosphere exuded relaxation and happiness. For those seeking adventure, the pier provides ample opportunities for fishing, whether you're a seasoned angler or a beginner looking to cast your first line. The experience of casting your rod into the vast ocean while surrounded by the serenity of nature is truly invigorating. When it comes to dining, the pier doesn't disappoint. From seafood shacks serving up fresh catches of the day to charming cafes with ocean views, there's a culinary delight to suit every palate. During my visit, I indulged in a plate of succulent fish and chips that tasted as good as the view looked. The Santa Barbara Pier offers an unforgettable experience that combines natural beauty, leisurely activities, and mouthwatering cuisine. Whether you're a local looking for a peaceful escape or a traveler seeking an authentic Californian coastal experience, this pier has it all. With its breathtaking vistas and vibrant atmosphere, the Santa Barbara Pier is undoubtedly a must-visit destination that will leave you with lasting memories.

I truly unique experience. It was so cool to 'drive' on the historic wooden pier. The shops were wonderful and we found an amazing setting for a cup of coffee.

Good for a quick walk but not really safe with young kids. They should definitely close it for cars and make it car free. Otherwise just any other pier

Wonderful place to visit! Went on Azure Seas for a spreading of ashes, very safe and conducted well. Observed sea lions, and common dolphin. Good foods to be found. Hotel Milo was awesome 😎 Fairly clean waters, and beaches. Thank you for having us, Santa Barbara!

Very easily accessible and such beautiful views! We were able to walk here multiple times during our visit to Santa Barbara from our hotel nearby. We enjoyed a sunrise and sunsets! Unfortunately, the day we went to watch the sunrise early in the morning with the only cloudy day we visited but we still got some cold views and photos of the very gray and slowly lit sky. Parking is free initially if you are driving, double check timing but I believe it was 3 hours! You can fish off of the end of the wharf and there's plenty of space for pedestrians to walk as well as a separate area for cars to drive. There are several restaurants along the wharf as well as wine tasting, ice cream, souvenirs and other places to Check out while you're there if chosen!

The wharf is fun to see one time. Has a good candy shop and ice cream place. Several restaurants and a couple of souvenir shops. We enjoyed the area around there better than the actual wharf.

Santa Barbara Pier combines natural beauty, activities, and dining in a perfect blend. It's a place that lives up to its beachy acclaim and leaves you with wonderful memories. I loved walking on wooden planks and the fact that you can park your car right at the pier.

Great place to stop and get a taste of Santa Barbara. Shops include a few seafood restaurants, a wine tasting room, candy and souvenir shop. And of course a beautiful view of the ocean and fishing poll rentals. Free parking on the pier for 90 minutes.

Great shops!! Good restaurants!! Parking is free for the first 90 minutes. First time I've ever driven on a Pier!! Definitely must see/do!

I love this pier! It was great you can drive all the way onto it with the first 90mintues for free and then $3.50 for each hour after which is very reasonable. There isn't a huge variety of shops but the people are great and the views are spectacular!! There is a great variety of food restaurants. Or you could just sit at the end and watch the waves, seals, boats go by, paddle boarders and just take in some of my favourite views of my trip so far. We got there about an hour before sunset and it was just magical. A nice place to just go and chill out and forget all the worries and problems of every day life. It made my heart happier. Xx

Excellent serene Santa Barbara beach pier on our drive way from Los Angeles to Tracy California. Really beautiful yellow sand beaches with surfing, fishing and bird watching. Lots of seagulls, pigeons. Beautiful place for excellent photographs with the other side with hills. Loved it thoroughly.

Great place for a nice evening stroll to watch the sunset. The wooden pier was very well built and maintained. Lots of seagulls, so watch out for their droppings.

First time coming here. It had amazing views all around. There are some restaurants and stores on the pier. You can drive or walk the whole thing. You can enjoy the beach or any of the stores and restaurants on the pier or land and just take in the beautiful scenery.

You would think a pier this small would not allow cars in, but they do and they have an ample amount of parking and folks are always leaving throughout the day. I believe you get 1.5 hours of free parking. There are a handful of restaurants here and some touristy shops. It's always nice to just walk the pier, watch the ships go by and view some of the sea life in the ocean. There's also a small aquarium located on the pier.

We ate at the Seafood restaurant at the very end of the pier. I don't recall the name.It was so delicious. Plenty of parking available. Don't be frightened if you drive on it. It's sturdy lol

Quaint place. Really surprised I got a parking at the pier and paid nothing after. The 90 minutes free was amazing. There are a lot of food choices at the pier and the ambiance is fantastic. Great place to relax.

Beautiful place to walk by the beach or on the pier. There are also nice restaurants with outside seating!

Very solid pier, I didn’t feel like it was going to collapse when I was walking down it. Great views from up here and I went to one of the restaurants in the middle that was a cool place with more views as well. I wouldn’t suggest jumping into the water from the pier if you can’t swim.

I haven’t been to many piers, but so far this is my favorite one. You can actually park on the pier and the parking price is amazingly low. I recommend you park at the pier and explore downtown. There’s a few restaurants on the pier and the ocean views are amazing as well as the view you get looking back towards Downtown Santa Bárbara. The beautiful view of the ocean, palm trees, the beach, and the hustle and bustle of people going in and out of stores and restaurants gives vacation vibes. It’s a good place to get away for a bit. Definitely coming back.

👍👍 An absolutely unique and gorgeous building in the heart of Santa Barbara. Defined a must see and within walking distance (a few blocks) from the State Street main drag. The grounds are upon to the public and extremely well kept. The most magical time to visit is of course during sunset's golden hour...
