Beautiful and quiet. You will need to descend to get to the beach that has a rocky part but manageable - just be careful when walking. We visited on 1/2/23 so the weather wasn't so great due to the pineapple express system that was moving through, but it was still beautiful!

Very quiet and well kept animal/family friendly park. We love going there throughout the day as there are lots of shaded spots to lay a blanket down for a good park day. There are views of the ocean and a lot of private benches to sit on.

Enjoyed having a nice shady, clean, park with a great playground for kids. The only ding against the park was that the restrooms could use some upgrading and more attention to cleanliness.

Great place for locals and guests alike. Been going to this park for just about 60 years, it's a big part of the Mesa.

Came here to get the family out of the house. Decent size park. Kids play place Currently closed due to covid. Nice view of the ocean. Clean and fresh air. There is a parking lot here and street parking

Many families enjoying the park. Kids on the playground and practicing soccer on the grass. Parking lot is limited but there is street parking.

Every time I'm on the Mesa I have driven by La Mesa park, never really realizing it is actually a beautiful vista for play and relaxation. Due to recent rains, the grass is a pretty green color and the park itself is teeming with life. I spied two red-tailed Hawks flying around in the sky together. There were people, and dogs, and a group of wonderful, joyful singers enjoying the beauty of the park and the crisp outdoor air. A nice park. I wish I had explored all of it. Definitely next time!

There's not much parking in the lot, but there's plenty of street parking. The park is clean and pretty big.
