I met Dr Goyal when I was admitted for atrial flutter. He treated me well and it resolved without complications after an atrial ablation. On both visits at his office, the staff was quite rude and actually insulting, and I am transferring my care --not because I the doctor was bad, or lacked empathy, but because his staff. The patient is your customer. I suggest avoiding the front office staff if yoiu come to his office.

Horrible experience with Dr Ahmed. She was incredibly dismissive and clearly did not care. She refused to do any sort of testing for POTS until I insisted, after which she did so sloppily and incorrectly. It was only after my insistence on doing the testing correctly that my diagnosis was confirmed. Even worse, she offered very little guidance going forward on how to manage my symptoms, didn’t bother to suggest that I see anyone else who may be able to help me better, and despite my debilitating symptoms and very negative impact on my quality of life and ability to function, denied my request for help getting disability accommodations.

The front desk is EXTREMELY UNHELPFUL and RUDE. They just seem like they enjoy making it harder and having conflict. I went to check in and the woman was extremely rude telling me I didn’t have an appointment and to wait to the side. She didn’t tell me there was another office downstairs where I needed to check in. She also shouted at me as I sat in the room of 10 people “what’s your date of birth” and then proceeded to say that out loud which is so unprofessional. (HIPPA violation)I’ve never experienced such poor customer service, I feel horrible for these doctors! Especially at a cardiovascular office, shouldn’t you have people who don’t cause the patients anxiety? I’d rather drive to LA then go back to this office.

I needed a cardiologist since I moved from the Bay Area that was closer to my home. I had my records shipped to Santa Barbara Cardiology group. I was assigned a doctor Aldridge. I set an appointment and visited him. With little introduction he told me I was on the correct medication and that he had scheduled a procedure to change my outdated stents . I was in shock. I cancelled everything and went to see my cardiologist in the Bay Area a four hour drive. After a nuclear exam I was told by him everything was fine needed no procedures. The reason I am writing this is to save anybody that is thinking of going to Aldridge. He is one of the only ones taking patients which may indicate the good ones are full and not taking new patients. It is very scary that a doctor will send you to a procedure you do not need with out checking first. I called his nurse who has been there 43 years and was told that the doctor I wanted was not taking new patients. I will not be going there again until I can get the doctor I want in an emergency situation. I am glad my instincts were correct on this doctor.

If you want any medical service near efficient, do NOT go here. The office is run by young people who do not follow up on scheduled tests ordered by the doctor, or send notes over to another doctor, and make excuses for their poor behavior. Nothing can be sent over without checking with a medical assistant. In addition, they changed computer systems and that is their excuse for things falling through the cracks. Their attitude is non caring for older people who simply want help with their health issues. I dread dealing with this office. So very frustrating.

Barely able to walk and breathe due to arrhythmia (like so many times over the years) I somehow managed to walk into SB Cardiovascular Medical Group's office - without an appointment !!! On seeing my distress Dr. Micheal Aldridge immediately wanted to send me over to Cottage ER. I told him I had been there several times over the years, I just wanted to get a second opinion. He looked at my many, many test results on his computer, and in about 65 seconds made the right diagnosis and put me on the right medicine. I started crying, of course, after decades of suffering. I have been feeling reborn ever since. You saved my life Dr. Aldridge. Cannot thank you enough ! Jim Petruska - Santa Barbara

Avoid this place. Absolutely amateur hour. I had to call a week after my appointment and they still hadn’t sent the authorization request to my insurance company. Zero care or compassion regarding the delay. They spam you with multiple calls, texts and emails when a follow up appointment is noted, but can’t be scheduled until tests are done. I’m surprised they didn’t send someone to the house and knock on the door. Avoid this place!

I went to see Dr. Ahmed today, and it was an excellent visit. The doctor took the time to review my file and answer all of my questions. Having worked with doctors for many years, Dr. Ahmed stands out as knowledgeable, up to date, and caring and truly interested in positive patient outcomes. I have no hesitation recommending Dr. Ahmed and SB Cardiovascular.

Let me begin addressing that 2 stars is not a reflection of Dr. Ahmed! She is great! The front office there is lifeless and not aware. They called me last minute as my referral was finally approved and told me they only had 1 availability before it expired! I looked online and it had been approved 3 weeks prior!!! For a five minute follow up appointment I sat in the waiting room for over an hour patiently and they didn’t even notice that patients had come and gone. I finally spoke up , nicely and their reaction “oh you haven’t been seen?” I had been sitting within eye shot this whole time and nobody acknowledged me after checking in. Turns out I was scheduled incorrectly. I continued to wait but this time I had let my emotions get the best of me and was crying from frustration and anxiety over my results. Turns out I have to have a procedure and they would mail me the necessary pre op paperwork. I never received pre op paperwork in the mail so I call and get transferred several times to departments that cannot assist me. As I’m writing this I still have no answer or instructions before my procedure in 2 days. This makes my problem that much worse as im already anxious and scared. I really can’t wait to be done dealing with all the middle men with appointments.
