I was blown away by the incredible experience Paul provided for our group of eight. We were taken to three different wineries and had a great time tasting, touring the beautiful vineyards with owners and wine makers while also learning the history behind it all. Oh, and our private lunch. What a treat!! Paul was so kind, informative and very organized. No detail went unnoticed, start to finish. He clearly loves what he does and is GREAT at it. I booked this tour as a gift for my Dad and it was, by far, the highlight of our trip to California. Paul asked plenty of detailed questions to plan the perfect wine tour day and he did not disappoint. The wineries were absolutely amazing and much more personalized than any wine tastings I’d ever experienced. We were able to meet the owners of the vineyards and the wine makers and the wine never stopped flowing. We even had a few “quitters” at the end. This experience was much better than expected and I can’t wait to bring my husband back to do it again. The price was a value and Paul’s knowledge of wine and food was extensive. He made fantastic local restaurant recommendations so we could end our last evening on a high note. I don’t have a single photo of my 80 year old Dad smiling but Paul got one on this tour! If you’re looking for a unique experience, this is it!

Our tour with Paul was absolute perfection! From the pre-trip planning to the unique wine tasting experiences, Paul thought about every detail and went above-and-beyond to make our day special. Paul was thoughtful in understanding our group’s interests and priorities - and beautifully aligned our feedback with three unique locations for our tastings. It was clear he had earned the respect of the winemakers, and he was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and most importantly, the wine. We learned a ton - more than we could have expected - and we had an incredible amount of fun, too. Paul guided us for dinner recommendations and treated us to a terrific private lunch while on tour. Don’t use anyone else but Paul for your future visit. I can’t wait to return to the area, and I guarantee Paul will be on the agenda when we do!!

Paul was truly one of the most amazing wine tasting experiences we have ever had! Not only did he take us to private wine tastings with the actual wine makers, but he was also very knowledgeable about wine himself. I had an absolute fantastic experience on the Appellation Wine Tours with Paul. From start to finish, it was a memorable day willed with boutique vineyards and exception company. Paul is a true connoisseur of wine and a gracious host. His knowledge and experience is off the charts. He made everybody in our group feel like we have known him for years. The selection of wineries visited was exactly what we were looking for. We had ample time at each stop to really get to savor the wines and appreciate the unique atmosphere of each vineyard.

We had the most fantastic day with Paul. He offers a wealth of knowledge, and took us to some tremendous stops at tasting rooms and wineries. This is not your average wine tour! Paul’s knowledge of wine and the area and then meeting with winemakers made this tour exceptional. Sitting and tasting with each winemaker and learning all the processes to perfect their wine. You learn that there’s a whole lot of love put into each bottle. Paul was so informative and had so many amazing suggestions for us while we were in the area. He spent the whole day with us (7 women celebrating a birthday) and made a fabulous lunch. I highly recommend this tour. I will definitely book with Paul again the next time I’m in the area.

Appellation Wine Tours (Paul) delivered an unforgettable experience in the heart of Santa Barbara's wine country. The selection of wineries—Piazza Family, Marbeso, and McKinney—each presented a unique and enlightening perspective on wine that delighted us to no end. As novices in the world of wine, we felt incredibly welcomed; Paul was a knowledgeable guide who ensured that we were both comfortable and informed. Lunch was also incredible. This tour has opened our eyes to the rich wine culture of Santa Barbara, and we can't recommend it enough!

Had a great day of wine tasting, courtesy of Paul! He was punctual, informative, personable, and picked great wineries for us (so much so that we are now members of two places he took us to). Although it had rained so much the weekend of our wine tasting that we couldn’t enjoy lunch outside, he set up a lovely meal in a beautiful setting at a winery. Already planning another trip back, and will definitely call up Paul again - if you’re on the fence, just book him!

This was an absolutely amazing experience, and I am so happy that I found Paul and Appellation wine tours! Although I had been winetasting before, this was my first true educational, winetasting experience. Paul picked wineries that he knew would be great matches for my partner and I being so new to the experience. The wines were amazing, the locations were amazing, the lunch was amazing, and Paul himself is amazing. He is so full of knowledge, he is so kind, and you can tell he absolutely loves what he does. I found Appellation Wine Tours online and am so glad I did! My husband and I were visiting Santa Barbara for our honeymoon and Paul helped give us a very special experience. He responded to my inquiry request very quickly and was upfront about what our wine tours would include and pricing. After filling out a brief questionnaire, he planned a custom tour of three wineries and selected the wineries off what he knew was the most important to us. Paul picked us up at our hotel and gave us a lot of history of the area on the way. He is super knowledgeable about wine and the vineyards in the area and getting his insight alongside the wineries speeches was so helpful. He has top tier knowledge and could cater a tour to the most skilled collectors but can also easily adjust for those less experienced just looking to enjoy nice scenery and some wine. Paul also packed us a delicious lunch that we ate at one of the wineries and made sure to have plenty of water on hand. He was also great at making suggestions about what to do while we were in town, and we had some of our best meals at spots he suggested. I would highly recommend Appellation Wine Tours to anyone looking to explore more than one winery in the area!
