This company is the textbook definition of slumlord scumbaggery. Currently I'm a resident at the NALS property Aliso Briar Forest in Houston, TX, and this is what the property looks like regularly. (See photos.) NALS corporate couldn't care less either, I've reached out to and spoken to Ms. Brown, Mr. Stryker, and every single NALS partner, and they are some of the laziest people you could ever interact with. Unless it's pertaining to money you owe them, and then you better believe these slumlords will suddenly be motivated to communicate with you regularly.

After having the worst resident experience for 3 years in Chandler Park Houston ,I visited my sister-in-law today, August 21 around 1 pm, and the office quickly sent the maintenance manager to ask where we lived after answering that we were visiting and send Melanie and Isabela told us that we could not be alone in the common areas 3 more people from the office came to tell us that we were not welcome in the property, which I gladly withdrew from that disgusting and cursed place, think about all the options before moving to chandler park apartments

Centennial at 5th Apartments in North Las Vegas NV, owned by NALS is a terrible location. They have no security present and resident's cars and homes are being broken into and vandalized. I spoke with the Regional Director, Julie Koch and she basically said there's nothing the corporate office can do and it's a live at your own risk complex. I recommend anyone looking to move into this complex, to not do so! You will be very disappointed and feel unsafe.

I was approved to move in apartment 1117 At Vintage at the Lakes apartment complex in Las Vegas Nevada for a August 2nd move in date. I was told that the apartment was vacant in June for some reason and that I needed to move in right then or give up the unit. I was out at sea on a cruise ship at the time. I decided not to go forward with the application process and as a result they kept my deposit and my application fee. No problem. I being a old fashioned elder I had prepaid August partial rent in the amount of $850. I know now that was wrong to do with a company that steals from old people on a fixed income. I have sent many emails and left many voicemails. Nothing. I have returned to Boston where there are actually laws against robbery of the public especially when the victim is an elder. I never signed a lease and just want my money back. I promise to never go anywhere near a NALS owned property. I have called the regional office in Santa Barbara and left messages for Julie Koch again same response. Silence. They literally do not answer their phone calls. They literally will not answer your emails. Please refund my money. Or do I have to file a claim with Judge Judy? I have all of my documentation and a email saying that the payment was made which is not true. I’m an old man being abused and scammed by a greedy corporation. I just want what I worked hard for.

MY husband and I applied for and apartment on the 2rd week of October, and called and called to get in touch with management, to make sure all was well. recieved paper work from the letting us know what to pay, money they too for applications, giving us move in dater on paper. but never any person to person contact. unlesswe went into the office. We call and called. no one called back the day we went in on the 29th to sign the lease to move in we were told that, that the management did not sign the paper because she did not like my history of living with my son inlaw and daughter. that was not rental history. We paid our way for over 3.5 year and it was our rental history. The leasing officer in the office tried to work on our behalf, but nothing she did work. The manger sent us a letter to sign saying she had new terms but still would not approve it. My husband make very good money and we made 3.5 time the rent, Please dont move into these apartment unless you get a total understanding. We had already begand to move out other thingsout of my daughters resident , almost had no where to go. Most apartment give the applicant a hard time. and it not fair I will br contacting the Better Business on Vintage at the Lakes.

Lived at one of their locations in Oregon for 6 months and moved out to move to another state. Nals failed to notify the local utility when they took control of the unit after the official vacate day. Instead they quietly let the power sit in my name until another tenant moved in a full month and a half later. I am still waiting for the check that Nal's said they were going to send to reimburse me. It's been over a month since my review was originally posted.

WARNING: GARDENS OF EAST COBB IN MARIETTA, GA HEALTH HAZARD WITH RATS! PIC ATTACHED. Caught a rat in my unit on 2/20/23 IN BROAD DAYLIGHT and this is an ONGOING issue. I still haven’t received a satisfactory response from the property manager on this. It happened before several times when the lights were off in the kitchen. Do not waste your time or money trying to rent at these slum apartments. I have seen bigger rats in my unit than this before. The maintenance and office staff have told me it’s normal to see rats. No, it isn’t! I have lived in other apartment complexes in the area and had no issues whatsoever. These apartments also have bug issues (ROACHES) and are very outdated. Also frequent maintenance issues. Most disgusting and awful place I have ever lived. They spend money paving the outside and trying to increase curb appeal but their residents are dealing with major issues on the inside. They do not care about their residents to let them live in such conditions. The office staff are all rude and miserable. All the positive reviews appear to be fake. Notice they all read the same and appear to be written by someone under multiple accounts in the “front office.” There’s no way anyone could enjoy living here when others are having these issues (as evidenced by past negative reviews). Also, trash is always overflowing at the front entrance and the gate doesn’t work. Never has. Do not live in a NALS controlled property.

It is beyond sad that I have been calling and emailing the corporate office since 10/12/2023 and no one has cared to respond to my email or phone call. What a joke.
