Damn good delicious tasting sushi. Teriyaki Chicken was bland and the meat was not top of line; otherwise would have rated a 5 star. We love the Mexican Sushi, Crunchy Roll, Jalapeno, Mixed Tempura, and the sashimi. Was really impressed with the girth of the Tuna Sashimi. Seaweed salad was awesome. Overall very delicious experience. Dining outside available. COVID19 protocols respected. Service with masks and gloves. However, gloves should be changed often because after a while the gloves look filthy. Give this place a try!

This is a little hidden gem in Santa Barbara. If you are looking for good sushi at a good value then you've found the right place. I usually go at 5pm right when they open. There is often a line. Crunchy roll, red dragon, volcano, philadelphia, california and spider rolls are some of my favorites. They are on top of filling your drinks up with great service. Will split bills no problem. They also have a pretty good take out, all lined up at the end of the bar.

Well well well this was my fist time , and I have to say this is the best , I didn't test everything yet but was delicious, and was melting in my mouth hoooooooo yea me and my daddy really anjoy what we ordered, so I'm really advice everyone to go and eat there

Best sushi I have had in Santa Barbara in a while! The salmon 6-ways was delicious. I didn't take many photos because I couldn't wait to enjoy my order. We sat at the bar - the Japanese sushi chefs were very busy, yet still very attentive. The staff was very friendly. The choices of fresh fish were varied and well selected.

Wouldn't you agree this is the best sushi place in town? This is not a fancy restaurant, but their service and food are great given the price and location. All the rolls I have tried so far were decent if not great, and other menus such as salmon or chicken teriyaki were pretty good too. Definitely returning to try some more.

Great Sushi . Sun sushi didn't disappoint. Have heard about sun for a few years from many people and the always taked highly and recommend trying. So we did the other night . SUN looks super small from the outside but is fairly large inside. We did a takeout order. The sushi was amazing. Fresh and if your in the area looking for a great local sushi place I highly recommend trying. It's next to the Tee-off

We are avid sushi eaters and Sun Sushi is one of our favorite sushi’s ever. We’ve tried most of the sushi’s in Santa Barbara and keep coming back here as our best.The quality of fish and service is great! Our favorite item is the salmon and tuna 6 ways that comes with a very fun mix of Nigiri.

I've eaten here 2 times now and it's been excellent each time. It's not a big place, but is definitely a local favorite, so I'd advise making a reservation. The sushi is fresh and very good. I thought the shrimp tempura was a little soggy this last visit, but everyone else in our party enjoyed theirs. Absolutely loved the Gyoza!! You can order it fried (which is how I had mine) or steamed. The dinners are pretty large servings, but they offer a reduced size plate, which is what I'll order next time. It was my birthday, so I got their fried ice cream. Everyone said that I'd really enjoy it and they were right. Unusual dessert and huge, so definitely recommend sharing this with someone else.

I showed up at 9:49pm for a take out order and they would not process it. I have now learned that they don't close at 10pm they close at 9:45pm. The food is ok but definitely not worth taking the chance if it is convenient for them to serve you.

Came here for two year anniversary sushi date, and was very satisfied. Amazing staff, they are so kind and funny. Alongside that, their food delivers ! Amazing and enjoyed everything !! Check this spot out, prob my favorite sushi spot in the area

I was not sure what to expect but I really enjoyed the food. The tuna roll was great and the beef teriyaki was perfectly done to give it a wonderful flavor and consistency. I will remember this place to eat there when in town again.

I dined at Sun Sushi earlier this week, and I enjoyed my experience until the very end when I had to use the restroom. When I walked in, I saw what I believe to be a cockroach crawling on the wall. This immediately turned my stomach. Photo attached here - I do not know if Sun Sushi has cockroaches, but there was definitely a large cockroach in the restroom. Besides that, our waiter was nice and the sushi was good. They were busy that night so there was a bit of time between our rolls coming out, but that’s understandable. The cockroach, however, will be the reason that I do not go back.

Even on a busy day, we were seated quickly. The food was delicious! One of the rolls hadn't been served and we were done with all the other food. Once we notified the server he quickly got it to our table. Would definitely return if I was a local.
