My wife and I had an incredible afternoon in the Funk Zone. Even though we live in Santa Barbara we learned so much! All of the food was delicious. I will definitely be going back to our stops to get more food. Worth every penny.

I don’t think I have ever been so disappointed with a business before I am even able to visit. I saw a Groupon for this food tour and was thrilled because I had looked into them in past and wasn’t able to fit it into my trip at the time. Knowing third parties like Groupon take such a high fee for advertising, I wanted to reach out directly and ask if they would prefer I purchase directly through them rather than Groupon. Kinda a win win for both of us to save some money. But instead I was told they were unaware they had a Groupon offer at the time and asked if I could hold off on purchasing so that they can further look into it. I know things happen and was willing to wait since the sale price wasn’t expected to expire for another few days, and I had time to purchase if that’s how they wanted to handle it. They called me back 2 days later to tell me I could purchase through Groupon if I wanted and was definitely under the impression they would honor the original advertised price. Considering they were unaware, it was a good thing that I pointed it out to them before there was a real problem they had to deal with. I go on to purchase through Groupon and realized the price has now been updated and there is ZERO discount from there website price. I took screen shots of the groupon that stated the deal should still be good, and was clearly changed after they investigated and contacted groupon. I called again in hopes to purchase tickets at the price that was advertised and spoke with Tara, the owner of the business. I absolutely can not express the amount of disrespect and demeaning comments she made to me. While speaking to her, she laughed and then tried to tell me that I should have purchased earlier before the deal was gone…. Uhhh I waited per there request to look into things. As if to make matters even more uncalled for, she even apologized that is was “outside my budget” and recommended waiting until they have another sale….. I couldn’t believe she was talking to me like this. The audacity and demeaning comment. Clearly a disappointment after hoping they would do the right thing and looking forward to this tour…. But things happen for a reason I guess. I found a much better food tour and booked with them instead. Oh, and I paid full price with no problem Tara, my budget wasn’t the problem, it was about you honoring a listed price as advertised. Thank you for your more than your rude attitude and saved me from paying for a disappointment. Pics of some of the chat conversation is posted for the record. As a lot of the conversation was also through phone calls I clearly can’t post those.

This tour isn't just about taking pictures and eating. Our guide, Tara, gave us The Funk Zone and Santa Barbara's history and cultural nuance. The food was great! The company and organization: fantastic!

We ate it all! This tour was a nice change of pace from the usual tour-guided trips and Andrew gave a lot of interesting information about the local history. The food was fantastic and there was lots of it. I will have to ask the city council if they can fund some donuts businesses though to add to the available choices.

We had a great tour! Lots of good spots to stop at along the way - we had 8 different seatings, 2 with just drinks, the rest food and one with drinks and food. Very cool to learn about the history of the Funk Zone. Hayley our tour guide was fantastic and did a really great job!

Could not think of a better way to be introduced to this amazing, unique town. Tara showed us all the go to spots, as she guided us through the best places to see with the best food and drink. I would recommend for anyone's first or fifth trip to Solvang.

We spent a wonderful afternoon with Kayla eating our way through the amazing pastries and savory dishes of Solvang! Kayla is very knowledgeable on the history and local gems of this city and all the places we visited were welcoming and had delicious food and drink! The best part - no lines! We breezed right in and met with many of the bakers and owners for mini-tours of their delightful shops. Come hungry! This is a fabulous walking tour - you won't be disappointed.

We had a wonderful time touring the funk zone in Santa Barbara with Kayla. The tour was well paced, with wine and spirit tastings in between food tastings to ensure our appetites were ready to go again. We also got to know about some of the history of the town and learnt some photographing techniques.

We would give Cameron and this tour 10/10 stars. This was the best food by far and it was sooooo much fun. Cameron is knowledgeable, fun, funny, and MADE our day at Solvang. We loved every moment. So thankful we booked this and so thankful he was our guide. It felt like we were walking around with a long time friend. Thank you Cameron, you and this tour were our favorite part of our trip!!!! Just incredible from top to bottom!!!

Kayla was so awesome! She did a great job of showing us around town, provided great service throughout the tour, and was so good with accommodating our food restrictions! I absolutely would recommend the Solvang food and drink tour!

Kayla was very personable and made this experience fun. The foods and wines and olive oils and balsamic vinegars I tasted were outstanding. I would definitely recommend this tour and especially, Kayla as tour guide. And the quantity of food was generous.

This is the perfect combo tour - great food and drink, beautiful downtown area with hidden gems and art to enjoy and top tips to photograph all of it for the ultimate story of your experience. Christy knew all her stuff and was really accommodating to the group for all their food choices. It was great fun and a brilliant way to sample the hospitality of Santa Barbara. Highly recommended.

Our group had an awesome time with our guide Christy! She provided a lot of fun facts and history as we did the tour. And every place we tried had something different to offer but all very good! Would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience with Nadia! We learned so much about the area and tasted some amazing foods that I probably would have never ordered for myself! What a great way to hit a multitude of the recommended eateries without having to be eating for 24 hrs straight!

This Funk Zone Food tour of Santa Barbara was a great way to explore the area. Christie took us to delicious restaurants and also to tastings of wine, beer, and a distillery. We had so much food neither of us could even imagine eating dinner. We learned about the neighborhood and Santa Barbara during our walk. We also learned how to photograph our food and drink. I would recommend this tour for those who enjoy good food and an informative walk.

We had a wonderful experience in The Funk Zone with Nadia as our tour guide! Not only did we get to down some yummy drinks and foods, we got a little piece of history with every stop. Highly recommend touring with this company.

Camilla was an excellent guide! An amazing sampler of all the funk zone has to offer. We discovered spots we would never have found on our own. Camilla was so knowledgeable of the history of the area, a great balance of food, drink, and fun.

Christina and Ashley were very nice and fun to have as our tour guides. We tried foods we would have not tried if it were us choosing for ourselves only because we didn't know much about them. But the foods that we tried were absolutely delicious! Got some good places to revisit as well as some great recommendations of places not included in the tour.

We had a wonderful time! My husband and took a little weekend excursion to Santa Barbara and didn't want to do a wine tour. The Funk Zone tour was informative, artsy, entertaining and tasty! The guides were very knowledgeable. We had a ball!

This was a fun tour with Cameron, who was a great tour guide. He had a lot of tips for taking photos - if the group is interested -- mine wasn't, unfortunately. But we still had a great time, thanks to both Cameron's geniality and the planning of the tour, which was a lot of fun, filled with great locations. As a photographer, I was hoping for a bit more photographic opportunities, but I still had a good time. We especially enjoyed some of the stops where the owners and/or staff were so kind and generous with their time and willingness to share the art of their business.

Very impressive tour! We had a group of 4, a couple of us have picky pallets and enjoyed every one of the nine stops! The variety and fun facts from our tour guide was fantastic! We were stuffed by the end of the tour! From cheeses, wines, chocolate, sausages, pretzels, beers, tiki drinks, meatballs, balsamic and danishes were AMAZING! Will be bragging about this tour for a long time!

Exceptional food and beverage tour. Great variety. Out Kayla was outstanding, very knowledgeable, and super friendly. Despite 107 degree summer day, we had a great time! Good variety of stops, great quantity of food and beverages. We were stuffed by the end of the tour. Definitely recommend this tour when visiting Solvang.

Loved everything about our tour of Santa Barbara. Even though I have been to Santa Barbara many times, everything we explored on the tour was new to me. Great photography tips, great background information from our tour guide, wonderful food and drinks. Our group bonded quickly and we had so much fun together. I can’t wait to take more tours with this company.

Our group had a great time on Saturday July the 9th 2022 in Santa Barbara. Our tour guide was fabulous she went into details explaining all the art on the walls. We enjoyed her immensely. When we ate at different restaurants she explained the meals from those restaurants with detail description how it is prepared. It is great to have a tour if you're spending some time in Santa Barbara and to know where you're going as the tour guide person will always guide you to the very best places to see for your enjoyment. It was truly a fun day spending time with our friends in the our group.👏👍☀️

I have done two of the three Eat This, Shoot That tours and they were fantastic!!! The Funk Zone Food & Photo Tour gives a great background on the city and visits classic eateries and local beverage stops! The route is a leisurely stroll and gives a great overview of the city. I highly recommend the El Paseo Tour as well! Great introduction to Santa Barbara's wine country with delicious nibbles along the way. These tours are a great group activity or for social couples looking to enjoy a few hours with like-minded people who enjoy food, drink and laughs! Tara and her team are incredible!! I can't wait to try the Sunday Funday one! :)
