Best all around wine tasting in Santa Barbara. Excellent wines. Knowledgeable and friendly service. Flexible on customizing wine choice. Outstanding charcuterie board with “ewe nique” cheeses and fabulous honey comb etc. comfortable upscale setting for wine tasting. Great spot for a date with full moon overhead. Stays open later than most tasting rooms — although calling Magerum a tasting room is an understatement. It is closer to a wine bar with a more active vibe

Stopped in for a glass of wine, ended up leaving as full wine club members and had the BEST experience!! We were in Santa Barbara for 6 nights and this was our absolute favorite experience. We decided to visit Margerum after both concierges recommended this stop (Rosewood Miramar and Ritz Bacara). We absolutely loved our wine expert, Lisa. She was incredibly knowledgeable and helped us to select a bottle based upon our preferences (D Sauvignon Blanc). It was excellent! After tasting the Barden Chardonnay and M5 Estate wines, we knew we wanted to join the wine club. Lisa was patient, sweet and fun with every question and tasting. Her excitement and passion about the wines was contagious. Now we just want to meet the wonderful winemaker! In summary, we became wine club members because of the delicious wine, but our entire experience was magical because of Lisa.

It’s an elevated tasting room experience! The room is beautiful with fabulous wines to taste, the M5, Über Syrah and Rosé are some of my favorites. They now serve pizza and charcuterie platters. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable about their wine. This is a must do on the wine trail in the Funk Zone!

Not only was the staff so welcoming, beautiful, and attentive, but their wine was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend asking for Calla she helped locate the perfect wine for my palette!

When I walked in I had zero idea that I was going to get exceptional service. Cameron our bartender was absolutely amazing‼️ Lisa was also amazing. What made our night even better was the wine and the food was sooooo good. Thank you guys. In town for my Wife’s birthday and you guys hit a grand slam. Highly Recommend

Perfect location near State Street! Enjoyed the Premium Tasting Flight! Loved the Grenache wine included in the tasting. The service was also excellent!

Our first stop wine tasting in SB and our favorite! Tom was amazing and very knowledgeable. The olive tapenade and goat cheese baguette was incredible. Best bread we’ve ever had!

I took my fiancé here for her birthday before dinner in the funk zone. We’re locals that live down the street and have walked by this place a thousand times, so we decided to try it for a special occasion. The wines were nice and the goat cheese and olive spread was a great pairing. The service was lacking. We were sat at a table when the place was nearly empty and waited for 10 minutes before anyone approached us. We ordered wine tastings and then waiting another 10 minutes for the first pour. Maybe it was an off night so we’ll revisit at a later time but I’d check out J Wilkes tasting room first for much better service.

Just finishing a three week wine tour that began with Tom in your tasting room. His deep knowledge of terroir, geography and grape varieties set the course for our research on California Rhone wines. Deeply grateful for his warm welcome, enthusiasm and educative spirit.

Meg was our server and she was very friendly and attentive despite of how busy it was. We had the premium flight - loved every wine they had on that list particularly the syrah. We also got the cheese & charcuterie board. This is our 4th time here and we go here everytime we are in santa barbara. Great vibes, great people, great wine & food. Highly recommend to try their flight!

Cameron is a fantastic sommelier. Knowledgeable, inviting and ready to answer any questions. The Wine is delicious and a fabulous broad spectrum of varieties to choose from. The food is excellent as well.

Sauvignon really nice. They don’t accept Apple Pay,but only tell you when you have to pay. Fortunately someone else had a card with them

Wonderful wine bar. Could have easily spent a whole afternoon & evening here. Excellent selection of local wines (try the Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah). Super knowledgeable and informative staff.

The wine is good. The venue is great! The service was pretty bad. We ordered food & never received it. Finally, once the tasting was over we were all ready to leave & fortunately were not charged for the food.
