Cute, comfortable, and clean - much more so than you would expect for a 2* motel. It’s also within half a mile of a Trader Joe’s which is always a plus. The room was small but lovely, so this is better suited to couples than families. I would recommend bringing a car if you stay here since it’s just off Upper State and requires driving to get elsewhere in Santa Barbara.

The motel was clean, cute and convenient. As others have mentioned, Santa Barbara is expensive, so this motel in another location would be over priced, but for SB, solid option. It was exceptionally clean, which I greatly appreciated. Would stay again.

I was a little concerned when I drove up. There wasn't much parking, it was so small, and out of the way. The owner was absolutely a lovely person though so I figured I'd give it a shot. Also explained that guests are allowed to park in the pet hospital next door Fell in love with the aesthetic of the place. It seems quiet and the bed is comfortable

We had a wedding to go to before check-in time but I called to see if we could get in early at all. They called back in about a half hour and let me know we could check in 4 hours early. Sweet as!!! The room was cool and as pictured. The bed was good. Just a warning, if you get back to the room late they make you park in the business next door, but you have to move your car into the neighborhood by 8:30 in the morning, you have been warned.

Very freeway friendly. You can take State St right to the heart of downtown. Kitchenette. Very spacious rooms.

Rooms and property are well maintained and the neighborhood is quite at night. Reminds me of the Route 66 Motels we used to stay at when I was a kid..

Small hotel, comfortable and with a Mexican design. Rooms are medium size but you'll be fine, owners are very helpful, you'll enjoy your stay.

I’m from Texas and staying here felt like southern hospitality straight off the bat. We stayed in September and they were on top of everything! The owner was so kind and personally reached out to thank us for our stay. 🥰 we are coming back in March specifically for this hotel and. location and hospitality and kindness that was given to us. Keep doing what you’re doing!

We stayed one night. Room and shower were very clean. Parking is free but very small and space is not guaranteed. This is a problem because the location is very remote and you will need to use the car. The 2 small water bottles in the room are not free and they will charge your if you use it.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. No extra just a great place to rest your bones

Very clean and pretty, air was fresh and nice smelling. Enjoyed the room and the shower. Much better than motels of the same price in SB.

Or stay here was fine. Everything was clean and efficient but the rooms are a bit tired, location is far from downtown, lots of road noise, and it seemed a little overpriced compared with other motels we’ve stayed in around California. Nothing terrible, but nothing great either.

Friendly staff and great rooms. We were upgraded for free to a better room simply because it was available.

We had a wonderful experience staying here! The room decor was super cool, the room itself spotlessly clean, the beds were the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept on, and the staff were extremely hospitable and kind. The only downside was having to purchase water or fill our bottles in the sink or while out and about, but there are several stores conveniently located within a block or two for any forgetting essentials & water. Speaking of convenience, the Inn is only a ten minute walk from Handlebar Coffee Roasters, which we visited every morning of our stay! If I'm back in Santa Barbara, I will absolutely stay here again.

Such a cute and convenient hotel. We only stayed for 1 night but we're already thinking about coming back to stay longer! The office staff is great, self-check in was easy, and the room was very clean. Definitely coming back soon

Had a wonderful stay at Agave Inn. The room was surprisingly clean and modern for a 2 star hotel. Location is pretty close to the beach too if you have a car. A little bit pricey for 2 nights (~$800) but would definitely recommend !

What a great place to stay! We only had one night in Santa Barbara and this was one of the few places we could find that didn’t require a two night stay when you want a place for a Saturday night! The pictures are accurate and the room was perfect. We had a lot of space to spread out and the full kitchen was a welcome bonus! We were given great food recommendations and would definitely return if we are in the area!

Stayed here one night and was very pleased. The room was clean and spacious with nice shampoo/conditioner provided, and even hand sanitizer in our room. There was no coffee maker in the room or breakfast provided, but overall a great stay!

Super-clean, well located to get in and out of downtown, 5 min from agaves restaurant (a must)

Very loud, we had the room closest to the street. The rooms were okay, nothing notable really other than they had a refrigerator and a small TV. The beds were awful. Very poor quality and extremely uncomfortable.

Cute retro style; comfortable (especially the bed). Room well laid out, clean. Hot water available almost instantly. An ice machine would be an upgrade.
