A very popular breakfast place, and when we arrived almost all the places were occupied. I liked the interior and atmosphere. The concept of service is not very clear, they bring the ordered food, but cutlery, water, food boxes, sugar, salt, and pepper, you have to take it yourself. I don't like this idea. Plus they brought us coffee in a dirty cup. Food is delicious, pastry is average

Helena Avenue Bakery treated us with a delicious whipped toast, breakfast sandwich, and the nicest lemonades! They have a cinnamon bun in a square shape (spoiler: it is very good). Look at this terraces 😍

Good meal. I ordered the yogurt topped with granola, honey, and macerated blueberries. The mint was an interesting but delicious addition to the lemon flavor. Just what I was craving. My friend ordered the ham and cheese sandwich which was served with homemade potato chips which were tasty. Sandwich was good but not spectacular, wish the cheese was melted into the sandwich. Nice outdoor seating and vibes!

A friend recommended Helena Avenue Bakery on my visit to Santa Barbara and it did not disappoint. Great atmosphere and staff was very friendly and prompt. Delicious mocha and the breakfast taco is nothing short of fantastic! 😊 this place might be in the category of “not to miss”.

Great spot off the beaten track, good breakfast (and wines in evening but did not try those;-) in industrial setting, patio and inside seating

Wonderful bakery, everything on the menu sounded amazing and everything on the case looked so good. The Elvis was very unusual and super yummy, not too sweet so perfect. The salmon toast is served on a hearty piece of bread so don't be fooled by the small plate, it's filling! The potato chips are super peppery but good. The patio is so peaceful to sit on and enjoy brunch and the restaurant is walking distance to some fun shops in funk town. Highly recommend!

Great coffee, delicious bread, excellent breakfast sandwiches and all reasonably priced which is refreshing in Santa Barbara. We stopped in to get a coffee and a sandwich for breakfast and left with a loaf of bread that was really good. The breakfast sandwiches are really good, they could use a little bit of sauce to help balance out the egg, the egg can be a little overwhelming about halfway through but it’s still really good and is cooked in a different way than I’ve ever had on a sandwich. Very smooth, it’s almost like tofu in texture.

Beautiful industrial style Cafe. Nice variety of breakfast/brunch options as well as lunch. There is a wine bar that open layer in the day. Nice indoor and outdoor seating. Food 5/5 I had the spicy fried chicken sandwich with pepper jelly and it was fantastic.

Nice bakery in the Funk Zone. Breakfast sandwiches ate large and could be split. Gluten free blueberrie muffin was moist. Banana bread is good but better heated. Always get the chocolate chip cookie when I go

We went for pastries, but their selection was minimal, so we purchased a breakfast sandwich and breakfast taco. Both were flavorful and enjoyable. There was a line when we arrived at 8:30a and it went a little slow, but we didn’t wait long to get our food. The outdoor patio was nice!

This place is one of the best bakeries I’ve been to, like top 3! The breakfast sandwich is massive and just as delicious as the potatoes were! We got a loaf of some rosemary rustic bread and I treasured every single slice of that loaf!! The pastries are out of this world and the location is the perfect introduction to the vibe that Santa Barbara has to offer. This is a hub for a lot of prime spots in the city. Enjoy a breakfast sandwich to dine or take some pastries to go, you’re winning either way!!

In need of peace and relaxation, @liv_beautifulee and I ventured to our day trip locale of Santa Barbara ☀️ We stopped @helenaavenuebakery and enjoyed their new Fig and Brie Danish. Make sure to ask them to heat it up as it makes for a perfect crunch on the flaky danish with the perfect combination of warm brie and sweet fig ❤️ 😋

Very flavorful breakfast items that are unique from each other, enjoyed the breakfast sandwich on brioche and griddle sausage biscuit sandwich. Also really liked the cinnamon roll.

Happening breakfast spot in the Funk Zone of Santa Barbara with fresh baked goods, eclectic menu and a chill vibe to the outdoor seating. The farro bowl was one of the most unique and delicious breakfasts I've had the pleasure of enjoying.

Cute place. Went here on a Saturday morning around 10:30 AM. The line is really long however it moved really quickly so it was actually a pleasant experience because it gives you time to look over the menu and you know what you want when you get to the register to order. You place your order and then give you a number you take a seat and they will bring it out to you when it’s ready. The coffee was too bold and sour for my liking. I had the whipped honey ricotta toast. It was on the sweet side. My husband and I spent $50 for the both of us. Plenty of inside & outside seating. Spacious enough for wheelchair. Some parking out front however just up a block is public parking with 75 minutes free. $3 after that.

Loved this bakery, their sweets were really good. I would come back for their pastries not their coffee. Their service was great, you can see the kitchen, the staff was organized, clean and professional. The place needs a little touch up but I assumed it was a rustic style on purpose, I really enjoyed the theme. I recommend trying their pastries, needs more than one visit to try all their sweets, which I will do. The atmosphere was very positive, calm yet friendly. There’s a bar and wine section, I definitely want to try that part next time. Their plants outside by the entrance was gorgeous, I’m a plant person and their community area is full of them, they shared the area with other restaurants, it is amazing, worth the try. Hopefully you guys enjoy this place and their pastries as much as I did.

We went in on a Saturday morning and of course there was a line. It moved very quickly and we found a table inside for the four of us. The food came out in a reasonable time and everything looked fresh and delicious. It was so nice to have gluten-free options especially with a biscuit! So rare to have... And it was exceptional! The fresh jam on the side with a wonderful touch as well. The decor inside was comfortable and interesting. Will definitely return next time I'm in Santa Barbara!

Very charming place with an easy atmosphere. Was worried when we walked up to a long line but it was surprisingly easy to get a table after ordering at the counter. The food was good and portion size decent. Order the breakfast sandwich on the buttermilk biscuit instead of the brioche. The biscuit is very flavorful and flaky. I thought the baked egg was a little on the dry side and could have used some hot sauce, which I could not find in the self serve area, but I also didn't ask. They do need to update the pricing on some of their menus. Specifically, it stated one price for drip coffee but I was charged something higher.

Such a great breakfast, you can tell a lot of care and work goes into the baked goods and you can see it being made behind the glass. There is awesome outdoor seating. I recommend getting here early to get a table. I tried the smoked salmon on everything bagel. I highly recommend this and the breakfast sandwich, biscuits, and cinnamon bun.

We won a certificate from trivia night for a free coffee and pastry. So we decided to try it. You order, pay and they bring your food out to you. When you pay with your card it’s not private and everyone can see how much you tip- even before any service is performed. The latte was just OK - coffee was very light tasting. The scone was good but too much fruit and not enough scone and it was frosted. Also ordered a spicy chicken sandwich - which was fried and covered in what tasted like a spicy Buffalo wing sauce. Did not like the cheese sauce which I took off. Not my favorite - I won’t order again. I liked sitting outside in the courtyard and they brought you your order but I did not like bussing my own table- prefer to pick up my own food and they bus/clear the table.

Never disappoints. Great coffee and food. Avocado toast with cucumbers and feta was so flavorful. This time we also got bread to go. It was delicious. And since it's Easter they had a small egg hunt for kids here. So thoughtful.

The Farmer’s Market Sandwich is the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever seen. Feels like your eating a burger. My daughter loves the Biscuit with salted butter. She says it’s the best biscuit she has ever tasted! We also enjoyed whipped Ricotta on sourdough with their coffee. The spot has outdoor seating and a great atmosphere.
