This
apartment
complex
has
been
one
of
the
worst
rental
experiences
I've
ever
had.
Five
years
ago,
it
was
a
decently
attractive
property
with
a
beautiful
duck
pond
and
landscaping,
but
ever
since
the
owners
decided
to
expand
and
renovate
the
complex,
the
living
experience
went
downhill
fast.
Here
is
a
list
of
negative
issues
that
suggest
you
should
probably
stay
away
from
renting
here:
-
Endless
water
shutoffs
the
first
couple
years,
although
this
has
been
mitigated
since
they
tore
out
the
duck
pond
and
performed
renovations.
Many
times
they
felt
it
was
OK
to
have
water
shutoffs
up
to
8
hours
or
more,
with
not
a
hint
of
financial
recompensation,
which
shows
you
their
nickle
and
diming
attitude
towards
their
tenants.
-
Since
construction
for
renovation
and
a
giant
high
rise/parking
structure
started
over
2
years
ago,
it
was
non-stop
noise
at
all
hours
of
the
day;
for
those
who
work
from
home
STAY
AWAY
as
the
construction
will
probably
not
be
ending
any
time
soon.
-
Since
construction
started
there
was
as
serious
lack
of
concern
for
tenants'
safety,
security
and
comfort,
many
times
and
even
after
several
complaints,
workers
would
leave
the
door
to
the
utility
closet
of
the
ENTIRE
BUILDING
wide
open
even
at
night,
and
they
even
cut
the
internet
cable
at
one
point
accidentally.
-
Many
internet
disruptions,
which
unfortunately
you
only
have
the
option
of
Comcast/Xfinity
here.
At
one
point
it
was
found
that
RATS
were
chewing
the
cable
wires,
and
when
a
tech
came
by
to
examine
the
problem,
he
stated
that
the
coaxial
cable
used
for
the
entire
building's
internet
was
terribly
outdated
and
needed
replacing/recabling.
Management
never
performed
any
action
on
this
after
several
requests,
and
opted
instead
to
keep
the
main
internet
cable
line
lying
outside
on
the
ground
exposed
to
the
elements,
which
remains
to
this
day.
-
In
the
last
six
months
or
so
of
my
lease,
there
was
a
serious
ROACH
problem,
most
likely
from
other
tenants
in
the
building,
and
the
management
gladly
charged
us
for
pest
control
fees
when
they
did
not
set
foot
in
our
apartment
at
all
to
mitigate
the
roach
problem.
-
For
the
cost,
the
balcony
view
and
comfort
from
most
apartments
leaves
a
lot
to
be
desired
due
to
construction,
noise,
and
a
habit
of
many
tenants
to
flagrantly
violate
the
rules
and
smoke
on
their
balcony.
Also,
since
equipment
for
in
home
AC
was
installed
in
renovated
units,
you
can
expect
the
deafening
roar
of
HVAC
sounds
in
your
backyard
when
you
open
your
windows/sliding
balcony
door.
Also,
do
not
expect
to
receive
the
majority
of
your
deposit
back
and
certainly
don't
waste
any
time
cleaning
your
place
as
they
charge
you
exorbitant
fees
for
cleaning,
"bulk
items"
removal
when
there
were
none,
and
no
consideration
for
normal
wear
and
tear.
I
cannot
recommend
Laguna
Clara
as
a
place
to
rent
from
in
good
conscience,
STAY
AWAY
and
get
something
better
for
your
money.
