When I was researching beachfront rentals, Hotel Restaurante Las Veraneras was highly recommended online. We reached out to them via WhatsApp to ask about reserving shack on the beach, but all spaces are first come first serve. This ended up being completely fine because there were plenty of space when we arrived around 11am. Basically you rent out the shack for your group and you can order drinks and food as well. I think for the three of us for the entire day, we paid roughly $60 for the space, 6 drinks, and 2 dishes for lunch. We were all so surprised when the food was some of the best that we had during our trip. We had the classic garlic prawns and these were fantastic. The prawns were huge and the garlic sauce was great. The fried rice was a huge, huge portion and surprisingly delicious. It was great to have a spot to leave our bags while we were in the water and also a place to hide when the sun became too much. I know they have hotel space as well that you can rent out, but we opted to stay elsewhere for the night.

I keep coming back for the lobster because it is magnificent. I also keep coming back for the service because it is great. I also keep coming back for the small huts with tables that sit on the sand. I will continue to come back as often as I can. One of my favorite places in Panama. Dear tourists, here is something that I was lucky to be introduced to. The restaurant section of this place serves lobster with sauce that left me in awe. Believe me when I tell you that I never craved lobster. I never saw the big deal about it. But once I tried it here, I suddenly realized what I had been missing. The dish comes with either tostones (also called patacones) or fried yuka. Either choice is good. The restaurant has seating sections on level ground as well as right on the sand. Eating while your feet touch the sand is something you should experience. There are also rooms to rent that also sit on the sand. You literally walk out the front door and onto the sand. The beach is magnificent. Another thing I will note is that this place does not feel like a tourist trap. It is natural - just a restaurant, seating area, huts, sand. I am able to enjoy the surroundings. None of the splashy tourist offerings that permeate other places.

Very fast service and they make sure you have everything you need. The all inclusive rooms are the way to go. The meals were big and filling. They text you through WhatsApp to make sure everything is taken care of.

if you are willing to pay the exhorbitant amount of $20 for a small hut without privacy where you can barely stand or sit, then this place is for you. if you are 5 people in the car, get ready to pay $15 parking fees as well. if you have an immense dose of patience to deal with the Asians at the counter to get a MEDIOCRE service, then you gonna be ok in Las Veraneras. The Santa clara beach is beautiful but definitely I will not go back because it is not possible to get in without the Hussle of the parking fees and the table rental fees!!! luckily panama is generous with other nice beaches.

The bedroom is only ok. Few dish options and poorly prepared dishes. Everything is too salty. The breakfast is really the worse. Taking all together it is not a good option.

Great hotel, restaurant on the Santa Clara beach, with a menu that includes seafood and many other items. Friendly service which is a little slow but hey its Panama. We love it!

I would recommend this outing if you want to experience a beach house on the sand the aircons are a blessing. You will get to see local fishermen going out with their boats, meet up with other tourists coming in on boats from surrounding Islands and see the fauna and flora in the area. My videos can be viewed on sandyallenmulholland on Tiktok. Relax on the beach in a hammock and enjoy delicious food freshly prepared for you. Walk into paradise.
