A
disappointing
update
to
the
review
I
left
2
years
ago,
but
a
vastly
different
spa
experience.
This
time
everything
from
booking
my
day
to
buying
products
left
something
to
be
desired.
When
I
called
to
book
my
day,
I
was
offered
two
options,
neither
of
which
fit
my
schedule
very
well,
so
I
chose
the
best
fit.
I
booked
the
Trifecta
package
of
a
massage,
facial
and
nail
service.
Now
-
I
did
say
in
my
last
review
that
I
would
not
waste
my
money
on
a
nail
service
here
again
after
my
pedicure
last
time
did
not
last
through
the
trip
home,
but
with
the
Trifecta
package
the
nail
service
is
basically
free,
so
I
thought,
why
not,
it
may
have
improved?
I
was
told
the
only
time
available
for
a
Trifecta
package
with
all
services
offered
sequentially
(on
the
days
I
was
looking
for)
was
9:00
AM.
I
booked
and
got
excited
for
my
spa
day.
Day
of,
I
arrive
at
8:30
for
spa
opening
knowing
I
will
only
have
30
minutes
to
enjoy
the
spa
amenities
prior
to
my
first
service.
By
8:40
I
called
to
see
when
they
would
be
opening
the
spa.
They
did
open
directly
after
my
phone
call
and
get
me
promptly
checked
in
but
by
time
I
had
only
a
few
minutes
before
my
services
would
start.
I
was
sorely
disappointed
to
find
that
the
hot
tub
was
not
filled.
I
could
steam
and
use
the
solarium
but
that's
it.
My
trifecta
services
included
a
massage,
facial
and
nail
service.
Massage
was
fine
but
not
in
any
way
relaxing.
The
masseuse
talked
through
the
entire
massage.
Even
when
I
did
not
continue
to
engage
in
the
conversation.
Facial
was
nice,
calming,
but
a
touch
aggressive
on
the
extractions.
Others
I
have
had
were
a
bit
gentler
with
the
extraction
portion.
And
then
there
is
the
manicure.
If
I
can
give
you
advice,
it
is
do
not
have
a
nail
service
here.
The
first
time
my
pedicure
was
a
waste.
The
chair
was
not
comfortable,
the
pedicure
felt
very
rushed
and
the
polish
had
begun
to
rub
off
on
the
ride
home.
This
time
the
manicure
was
similar.
Except
it
is
performed
in
the
open
solarium
which
is
just
awkward
and
the
nail
technician,
while
very
nice,
doesn't
seem
interested
in
your
relaxation
or
comfort,
just
in
completing
your
service.
Two
nails
looked
melted
off
before
I
left
the
spa
that
afternoon.
I
am
writing
this
review
less
than
a
week
later
and
only
3
nails
have
survived
-
none
unscathed.
Finally,
the
facility
itself
is
really
beginning
to
show
wear.
The
rain
showers
(I
tried
3
different
ones)
spray
in
many
directions
including
directly
out
through
the
curtain
soaking
my
robe.
They
were
kind
enough
to
bring
me
another.
The
curtains
were
missing
hooks.
Things
were
certainly
not
as
clean
as
the
last
time
I
visited.
But
the
complaint
that
nearly
every
woman
I
met
had
was
that
the
hot
tub
wasn't
functional
so
none
of
us
got
to
enjoy
it.
When
it
was
finally
full,
after
my
second
service,
it
was
cold.
After
my
third
service
it
was
warm,
but
even
by
the
time
I
left,
late
in
the
day,
it
never
got
hot.
Those
of
us
brave
enough
to
try
it
were
all
disappointed.
When
I
mentioned
my
frustration
with
the
lack
of
amenity
use
to
the
desk
staff
at
check
out,
there
was
not
even
an
apology.
The
esthetician
had
pulled
product
for
me.
I
said
I
would
be
returning
later
in
the
week
to
pick
it
up
and
was
told
that
was
fine,
that
this
was
a
common
practice
and
it
was
suggested
that
I
snap
a
picture
of
the
product
for
reference.
When
I
returned,
the
desk
attendant
was
so
irritated
at
helping
me
get
these
products,
which
were
all
new
to
me
that
I
nearly
walked
out
without
my
$250
in
products.
If
it
hadn't
been
for
the
initial
kindness
of
the
esthetician,
There
is
no
way
I
would
have
purchased.
I
hope
that
Ivy
Day
Spa
is
reading
these
reviews
and
has
plans
to
do
a
little
better.
I
would
love
to
come
back,
I
even
talked
with
staff
about
membership,
but
seeing
the
state
of
the
spa,
I
don't
see
how
a
membership
could
benefit
me.
The
only
member
I
ran
into
during
my
visit
was
very
frustrated
because
she
could
not
even
use
the
hot
tub
after
she
finished
her
workout
at
the
nearby
gym.
