My husband and I went to Piccola Osteria for the first time last night. The shopping center where it’s located has tons of parking, the restaurant is very nice. It is modern and cozy at the same time. The tile work is lovely. The ladies at the hostess station were warm and welcoming and with our reservation we were seated immediately. The hostess led us into the covered patio area and until one of the roll screens that covered the opening to outside slightly billowed in a breeze and I felt a tiny chill did I realize that we were outside. Once we were sitting and I had removed my jacket, I never noticed a chill again. There are long low profile electric heaters above the tables that work great. The area is well lit, warm and comfortable. The patio tables filled up quickly, there was a party of 14-16 people near us, as well as, all of the other tables filled with patrons, yet my husband and I were able to carry a conversation between ourselves and speak with waitstaff without having to speak loudly to hear due to any hindrance of background noise. Tables were attractively and minimally set with white cloth table covers, thick cloth napkins, beautiful water glasses and quality silverware. The menu was well organized and dishes deliciously described. The wine menu covered the whole back of the single page menu. I think there were about 70 different wines to choose from, as well as, a full bar for other cocktails and the Piccola Osteria signature drinks. All of the waitstaff we encountered made eye contact, smiled, were warm, friendly and attentive. Our waiter was attentive without hovering. She was organized and quick. I ordered their signature espresso martini. It was delicious. Decadent, light and frothy. We ordered the Polpette Di Casa for our appetizer. It was 4 huge delicious, tender meatballs in marinara sauce with toasty ciabatta bread. That alone would have made a delicious meal. We had left overs. For our entrees… I ordered the lasagna. It was beautifully plated. The pasta layers were plentiful and delicate, the meat sauce, the bechamel sauce and cheeses were balanced and flavorful. The portion was more than I could finish (but also I was saving room for their tiramisu). My husband had the Parmigiana Di Pollo, lightly breaded chicken breast pounded thin served with spaghetti in marinara sauce. Ordering chicken and having that chicken be tender and tasty at any restaurant is risky and when I saw the beautifully plated, but giant thin breast, (it was about the size of my hand with my fingers outstretched) I was nervous that it would be dry, it was not. It was tender and juicy and my spouse was pleasantly surprised. And everything was hot without being so hot that we had to wait to eat it. At this point in the meal we were already discussing going back and trying something else from the menu. Our waiter returned. She boxed my lasagna and the two remaining meatballs and then presented me with the dessert menu. I always order tiramisu if it’s offered at any restaurant, I’m always hopeful that I will find the dessert as delicious as it was when I tried it for the first time, a million years ago, at a little hole in the wall Italian Restaurant in Las Vegas and sadly I have not, until Piccola Osteria’s tiramisu. It was SO GOOD, so traditional and SO perfect with the remainder of my espresso martini and an espresso. I would go back just to sit at the bar and have that martini and dessert. I didn’t finish my tiramisu and it came home with us along with my other left overs. Three hours later and straight out of the refrigerator, that tiramisu was just as delicious and moist without being mushy. Our bill…a bread basket, an appetizer, two entrees, one fancy cocktail, espresso and dessert with leftovers, (we left full and satisfied without feeling heavy) was just over $100. plus a tip. The portions were generous, we felt that the prices were reasonable and most of all, the overall experience, service, quality of food, presentation and location were on point. We will definitely be going back.

Overall a good dining experience. The service was good, polite and knowledgeable staff. This is a nice restaurant where people are not in a hurry. People are enjoying a beverage/cocktail/glass of wine. The problem is we received our appetizer at the same time as our salad. To me, this is unacceptable. For this reason, I downgraded our experience. This would never happen at Piccola Trattoria.

Staff overall and our waitress were great. There was no waiting with our reservation which was nice. A lot of places don't seem to seat you until 15 to 20 minutes after your reservation. All of the dishes we ordered were great. I think the prices were decent for the quality, portion size and taste.

This is one of the best restaurants in the Santa Clarita Valley. I have enjoyed their food many times and it has been consistently delicious. Their pastas are all homemade. Their marinara sauce is delicious as well as their meatballs and lasagna. The Allegra Salad is one of my favorites. I have not had a bad meal there. Service has always been exemplary...always a pleasant experience.

Italian food is kind of our go-to when we want to feel indulgent. Piccola Osteria fit this bill for date night and we were super happy with our experience and the food. We've also been to their other location and appreciated the more modern feel to this spot (and we actually liked the food better too. We started with the soup of the day which was a Maize Corn Soup...this was truly fantastic in flavor and texture. A corn based soup done exactly right. I had the Spinach Ravioli which came with a generous portion on the plate, topped with tomato sauce and I was absolutely not hungry after finishing it. My wife and I also shared the Allegra salad...it was beautifully presented (actually everything was really well plated which allowed the feast to start with our eyes before we even picked up our forks.) I think there was a newer staff member helping so our bread came kind of later than we wanted but it was worth the wait...house made and delicious with the oil and balsamic it was served with (just like back in the motherland.) We'd definitely come back here. The atmosphere was to our taste (again over the more traditional feel of their other location), the food was beautiful and delicious, and, as vegetarians, we had plenty to choose from.

I came here for an anniversary dinner and everything was great from the second I walked in. I had made reservations online and selected "Anniversary" as the special occasion. The servers and waiters were very nice, our table had ordered the Fettuccine Bolognese and the Rigatoni Salsiccia. We enjoyed both these dishes the Fettuccine pasta tasted fresh as it is homemade pasta and the meat sauce it was tossed in was really good. The rigatoni had truffle and Italian sausage which were both delicious but not too overpowering, especially the truffles, it was just right. For dessert, we had the Flaun al Cioccolato and this was one of the best lava cakes I had because it wasn't too sweet, the Nutella filling and the ice cream were delicious. The amazing part was after the entrees, our table was brought a cannoli that had the message "Happy Anniversary" written on the dish, and this made me glad that I picked Piccola Osteria as a place to celebrate my anniversary since they acknowledged that my dinner was going to be an anniversary as I had put that as my special occasion in my reservation online. I would recommend Piccola Osteria to anyone who wants to enjoy an authentic Italian experience.

My wife and I are new to the area and wanted to try some of the local restaurants. We had a great time at Piccola Osteria. The food was delicious and service by Hunter and his support team was outstanding. I had the risotto with ahi tuna special and my wife had the Tortelloni di Brasato (homemade short rib tortelloni). Both were great and I will absolutely get the tortellini next time I go back. Highly recommended.

Finally! A restaurant in the SCV that serves a deboned Branzino. We went on a Tuesday, and this restaurant impressed my husband so much that he said "we will dine here once a month". Halibut was perfectly cooked, the branzino was plated beautifully, and the service was excellent!
