They force you to pay a supposed insurance from I don't know what federation, but they don't give you anything other than a receipt like a counter note without a stamp or anything. Then every one or two weeks the child is supposedly promoted in training and you have to buy them a new and expensive belt. At that rate, at two months the child is already a fifth dan black belt or a kind of Karate Kid. A complete fraud. And what if some gloves, what if t-shirts, what if another suit, now a pair of pants, tomorrow another one of a different color, etc. To take the money out of your face. And when you try to unsubscribe, the calls begin, and the pressure from the collection company that wants you to pay them all year long whether your child attends or not. Of course I did not pay them, but other people I know have done so, fed up and scared by the continuous threats and constant calls. A scam and abusers.

I love it. I started a couple of years ago, after trying the Women's Self Defense course they do every 6 months and I was hooked. The Sensei, the Sempai, the instructors, and the classmates are great. You learn, you have fun and you take care of yourself because it is a sport, because it is a martial art but it is enjoyable. It is not just learning to fight or defend yourself, it is discipline, self-control, confidence, personal improvement and teamwork. They have a version for adults and also a children's program. Ideal for the whole family.

I have been attending martial arts and self-defense classes for a couple of months. I signed up mainly because of the schedule, since it was the only gym in Santa Cruz that offered a class at 2:15 p.m. Right now, if new classy places appeared at that time I wouldn't change; They achieve a safe, professional and friendly environment, the instructors are well prepared and motivated, and the sensei is very attentive and close. I took classes during the three summer months. Two girls fainted in my class in this time because of the heat. Club Mugendo is fun and inviting for adults and kids alike. I was so impressed with the inspiring classes they offer children of all ages as well as the physically challenging and intense workout you get in the adult classes. I love this gym!
