The trip takes some time but it's really worth it. The road leading to the place is amazing. First it starts with casual mountains then the mountains disappear behind the tree wall like a tunnel. Last thing to make it look like a fairy tale is the cloud. Driving through such foggy mountain forest is truly oustanding.

The forest is unique.You can see following species:Fringilla coelebs tintillon, Gallotia galli eisentrautii, Woodwardia radicans

Not sure what senses are supposed to be delighted. Possibly best to try with noise cancellation head phones. People have a lot to say, and say it loud. For some reason dog walkers and trail runners consider the path theirs. The Nordic in me would wish some RULES...

Incredibly beautiful forest to hike. The name is fitting as this looks just like something out of a fairytale. You do need a permit though (online) and especially during high season you better get one early. If you are too late the region has a ton of great hiking trails where you won't need a permit (ask you Tourist Info for a map!). Driving there is exhausting.

Pristine and unique place. Perfect, easy trail for anyone willing to connect with the nature in silence. If you don't have much time on Tenerife, I would strongly recommend visiting this place as a representation of the north.

Beautiful part of the island. Entered the address in the SatNav, it just takes you to a bend in the road. WARNING: Signs around the area say you need a permit to walk in some of the areas, or face a €600 fine.

Everybody should visit this place. It's incredible, to go there from down, from the beach, up to the cold and scary, dump. And do not go only to famous forest Encantado, there are also many others to see :)

Average forest, little ecosystem variation, nice view somewhere but unclear how to get there. Dangerous roads. Not very special.
