A place full of the spirit of the nature from all over the world. The views from the hill are mesmerizing. It was very imressive to learn the garden was built on a hill of garbage as a proof of sustainability and resilience of nature. The staff was friendly and it was good that there were no crowds of visitors and one can enjoy a meditative walk. There were some interesting birds around if you are lucky and patient to notice them.

The saddest experience of my whole vacation. The park itself isn't that bad but they put led and cables everywhere, speakers with Christmas music and made us pay the full tickets even if some of the park is closed. I just wanted to enjoy nature but all i got was some annoying Christmas songs.

Beautiful garden. I paid 6 euro as an adult. You should get a map for 0.5 euro no to get lost.

I simply got the idea to visit the Palmetum while I was exploring Santa Cruz and the idea turned out to be phenomenal! The information provided for many plants (mostly palm trees) was very interesting and encourages to do even more research on my own. The place is in a perfect condition. I recommend spending some time there and not to rush through it. I spent 2:30 hours there and it was enough to go both routes and look at some interesting plants in detail.

Great place to spend few hours if you love plants and nice views. Cost of 6€ per adult so not expensive in my opinion. I recommend this to all.

Probably my most favorite spot in Santa Cruz. Great botanical garden, a lot of palm trees and beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean. A little further from the center but totally worth visiting More on my YouTube channel Lex Universe :)

Great place to walk around and chill, benches almost everywhere for you to sit down and either views. Not that expensive and definitely worth it. You need around 1:30h to 2h to see everything.

Wonderful and peaceful place full of extraordinary vegetation from all around the world. You can easily spend 2-3 hours just walking around and reading about flora. Entry is also cheap and its ideal to visit with family or partner as the place can be quite romantic.

Outstanding botanical garden with species from all over the globe. Wasn't expecting the waterfalls. Very good parking and cheap entry fee. Clerk speaks numerous languages and maps also available in numerous languages. High recommended.

Loved it! Lovely greenery from all over the world, and a gorgeous garden at the centre (Octagon)! I could spend hours there, just enjoying the nature. There are benches along the path, and viewpints overlooking the ocean on one side, and the city on the other.

We were literally alone in the park on Saturday morning. Great place to walk, sparse palm trees and a good view of the ocean. The benches have shade and a great view.

Relaxing and calming environment. Amazing variety of palm trees and other plantation with excellent explanation and information. The transformation of a waste pit to such an amazing garden is admirable and it has attracted many different species of birds and other animals. Overall a great experience.

From afar, it didn’t look as rich and diverse as we found this garden to be. There are many different palms and other plants to admire. The original space in the center displays the most tropical plants. From the park, you can have good views onto the ocean and the city, too. We saw some beautiful birds we didn’t see anywhere else on the island. I’d definitely recommend to go there!

Great garden with lots of different trees and plants. You can view plant blooms and fruits of so many plants! Also so many beautiful tropical leaves. There's enough to walk for an hour or two. It was decorated for Christmas though, and the blue lights were quite distracting me from the nature vibe.

Unique about this botanical garden, is their extensive collection of palms from all across the world. Both small an giant palms are lurking around every corner. Especially enjoyed El Octógono, a half-sunken shade house in the middle of the park, home to the most tropical species.

A beautiful oasis, we thoroughly enjoyed exploring this garden. We loved watching the birds, butterflies and turtles too. The only thing missing is a cafe.

Even though not very big, this botanical garden in Santa Cruz is very well Mai gained and beautifully inspired and designed, has several view point on different sides of that allow you to see the sunset and also the Auditorium. Very silent atmosphere and serene location on the shore of the ocean.

Indeed one of the largest collections of palms I’ve seen - definitely the largest in Europe! Very nicely arranged in global regions. I’ve not expected such large specimens in such a relatively young collection.

Peaceful and relaxing. You can take either route at your own pace, with a guide map only €0.50, it is definitely worth getting to work your way around. We visited at midday on the weekend and the site wasn't busy at all. Plus some amazing viewpoints across the Island's coast.

Nice place, even if the plants are not at their best in February. The trolley cafe in the area overcharged and tried to get the wrong prices from a few others.

A place with different species of palm trees from all over the world. At the entrance I got a leaflet about one non-European palm that managed to reproduce despite the lack of conditions, which increased interest. There are also viewpoints overlooking the ocean.

Enjoyed our visit to the palmetum. Great collection of palm trees and other plants. Some good views over the ocean and Santa Cruz. Definitely worth a visit.

There is a very nice collection of palm trees and other plants. Many of the plants are labeled with species, origen, and other information. They maintain micro climates such as shade and swamp as needed. The hill is a very gentle climber mb, and there are elevators to the top.

We enjoyed this park, but would have enjoyed it more if we'd gone on a cooler day. There wasn't a lot of shade. We spent quite a bit of time walking around the area dedicated to plants that enjoy cooler environments. The park has a car park, but we had come to Santa Cruz by bus and it's about a 25 minute walk from the bus station. The cost of the park is reasonable. There are some lovely and amazing plants there.

Surprisingly very interesting place. It was not in our top list of Tenerife must see, but I am glad we visited it. Relaxing walk through different palm species forest is an amazingly fun experience. Bonus: you can get a beautiful photo of Santa Cruz there.

We had a very nice visit here. The park was nearly empty and we could sit on the banks and enjoy the nature in quiet. Mid april, a lot of flowers and nice weather. Yes, you can rush it within 30min and be disappointed, or you just take your time and try to enjoy it! We stayed here round about 2 1/2 hours. With less people in it realy nice. The park is build on an old trashdepot to recycle it and turn it into a nice location. I like that Idea. Some plants have dry parts or webs in it, but thats nature...

Stunning botanical garden, a must-see in this area. They have around 300 types of palm trees from all over the world. The garden is nicely organized, there are several spots with benches on which you can seat and admire the view on the ocean. If you're in a mood for a relaxing walk in the nature, that's a sure shot.

Amazing place, great idea to overcome a rubbish dump. Loved the selection of palm trees and the look out points give you such a fantastic alternative view of Santa Cruz. Definitely worth a visit for a different side of Tenerife. We got there from the South of the Island by two Titsa buses. Excellent day all round.

This is really a wonderful garden, larger then I thought it would be. We made a combination of 2 hours visit in the garden and after that the large swimmingpool next door. There is a nice restaurant in the middle..so a great day with free parking. Entrance was about 6 euro's. We absolutely loved it..and we got engaged in this garden😍
