Beach Street was recommended by a friend who has been staying there for years when she visits Santa Cruz. I stayed here this past weekend and was not disappointed. It is steps away from the beach and a short walk to the boardwalk and the wharf. I stayed in an ocean view room with a full kitchen, which I do recommend. It's worth it. They have pots, pans, dishes, and silverware. I was able to make myself breakfast every morning. There is a friendly barista who makes coffee, including lattes and espresso in the morning. That was a very nice touch for anyone who enjoys their caffeine. They also have filtered water, an ice machine, and washer / dryer for use. I didn't realize they had these amenities until the day I left, which was a bummer because I would've used the filtered water machine daily. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay here - if you can pay extra for room with ocean view go for it. We paid to upgrade as didn't realise not all rooms had this, and very glad we did. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Location is fantastic and you won't get closer to the beach.

This is the best place to stay in Santa Cruz! My family has been coming here for years and this was our first stay here. I really felt at home. The rooms were clean and the staff was wonderful. Best place for kids and the price is great! We will definitely use this hotel from now on. Thank you to the staff and all the friendly people who made our stay exceptional!!

Fantastic experience at the Santa Cruz beach and Boardwalk. This hotel puts you right in the middle of it all and has great views of the ocean. We walked everywhere…no car needed from here…Highly recommend! Even has a free laundry room which ended up being nice to have available.

Stopped over for a day and night with my daughters before heading back to Tennessee. We all agree that this is one of our favorite places we've ever stayed. Here's a few of the things we loved most about staying here: The room is nice and comfortable The view is amazing The proximity can't be beat. We walked everywhere. Grounds are clean and updated (pool too!) Staff is super friendly Coffee bar in AM, SNO cones in the afternoon and pop corn in the evening...all free There is a heating option in the bathroom so that you are toasty warm when you step out of the shower. And now i need to install one at home. 🤣 Zero regrets!!

The entire staff was welcoming and kind.. Eric (the manager) helped take my luggage to my room! I booked 2 rooms for my son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. I asked if we could have rooms which done require going up and down steps, since I had a recent knee replacement. They happily accommodated my request. The rooms were immaculate. The hotel provides cappuccinos, lattes and hot chocolate with marshmallows. Popcorn and sno- cones during the day. My grandsons were delighted! The location is wonderful, across the street from the beach. I’m booking there for next summer!

Not a bad place to stay. For its location and price it's reasonable. Rooms are clean but parking is tight. The staff was also very friendly here and the stay was pleasant.

The room was clean and beautiful! The bed was so comfortable. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond! I highly recommend this sweet hotel!

Great place to stay. The room was clean, the bathroom was absolutely beautiful. I do recommend an ocean view room yet the rooms facing the pool area were also pretty good. Just a few steps from the beach and the wharf. They also have a laundry and ice machine. We really enjoyed the pool area, it really was a wonderful place to stay. The only thing I recommend is better tv programming, maybe a streaming service. We will be vacationing here again real soon.

Near perfect but for some light intrusion at night into the rooms through the shutters. Some more attention to detail in regards to cleaning is necessary for a 5 star review. Sometimes the public bathrooms at the street level can waft towards the room so the top rooms are best. Unbeatable location.

Our room looked right into the bay and a couple of blocks from the Boardwalk. Deck to look out at the ocean with a drink. No breakfast but great espresso bar that is complementary in the a.m. Breakfast areas close. Great staff. Gets an "A" from me!

I have no complaints. I do suggest bringing your own coffee maker. They removed them and have you go to a window at the office to get coffee but only morning hours. If you just like drip coffee it is overkill. But if you want espresso and latte drinks, this is super nice. The room is nice. The bed was very firm. The view nice. The access to the beach hard to beat

Wonderful, quaint hotel overlooking the beach. Super clean and cozy rooms. The staff are amazing and helpful. I am looking forward to my next visit.

We stayed for just 1 night on our way down the coast. The room was very clean and the bathroom looked newly refurbished (although the toilet often kept running after flushing). Our room near the pool was barely big enough for our 2 beds. It was also noisy in the evening with kids visiting the pool (it was quiet during quiet hours though). I was especially disappointed with a $15 parking fee that was not listed when I booked the room. Location near the wharf and beach was very nice although the hotel is across the street from the beach.

We got an ocean view room and it was great!!! So nice to be able to easily see the sunrise/sunset. Your deck isn't private but that makes it nice if you have fun neighbors. Our deck neighbor had young kids so my daughter made some new friends. The pool was warm-ish so we were able to enjoy that as well. The location was AMAZING! Walking distance to so many different things (beach, shops, restaurants, boardwalk). Rooms are a little small but not bad. Would stay there again!

We checked in and the toilet was running. By the second day it was no longer working. After two requests at the front desk we received no help. I finally found the manager who came and just blamed it on the previous guests. He suggested a reduced rate to address the non working toilet and then did not provide that. I have really enjoyed staying here in the past - but never again.

Great location with the beach over the road and downtown a short walk away. We enjoyed using the pool and hot tub. Eric the manager was really, really helpful - he had lots of tips and ideas for things to do. Really welcoming stay.

Location Location Location. I'd give it 6 stars for the location if I could. The rooms are small but very well taken care of. My only complaint would be the pillows. Just bring your own and the problem is solved. Service was great, super friendly, and quaint. The kids loved the free popcorn and the pool was shallow so no need to worry about kids in the pool. The hot tub was greenish but fabulous at the same time. The fire pit was a great place to get Pizza for dinner. Short walk to the beach and stunning views. About a 1/4 mile to the boardwalk and I am not too sure what else you could ask for. We will be back for sure.

Quite pricey, but still nice to be so near the beach and boardwalk. The pool and hot tub could use a scrub but overall the environment and perks are lovely. Free popcorn and coffee and snow cones! Good for kids.

Rooms are nice. It's very quiet. The view ocean side is what makes this place. Reasonable price to sit right outside the ocean
