BEST place in Santa Fe. I’m 5.5 years sober and been looking for a place to hang. Not only are there just chill vibes and good people, but I genuinely feel like I can belong here. Everyone working her is smart and knowledgeable, and they know how to interact with all kinds of people. It’s hard being 26 and sober. There aren’t a lot of open late places for us to hangout. And this Kava bar?? The best place. The Kava and speciality teas never disappoint, and I always have an amazing time, either with friends or by myself. I’m always going to keep coming here!

This is my spot!! Best Kava in NM and all the people who work here are amazing! They do open mic nights, trivia nights, and have some of the best deals on drinks. Stop in, have a shell, and relax! BULA!! 😊

The slapshots gave me and my bro a mini heart beat arrhythmia and caused minor vomiting. Perhaps it was a bad batch but we got poisoned.

A friend of mine pulled me out to check out this new place. As a FOODIE, I could not say no. I had never been to a Kava Bar, and what an interesting concept. Wow, what an experience. It was topped off with some of my favorite pizza in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Sober night life is one of their tag lines. It can be used as an alternative meeting space your your business needs. The atmosphere and vibe is all Kava! I don’t know how else to describe it. They have three locations in Colorado and one here in Santa Fe, NM. Cannot wait to come back! Where there’s Kava there is community.

I was going here with some regularity this summer. I stopped going after having seen one of the employees Corey flirting with a teenage girl (I'm calling it how I see it - seems like a weirdo) Also this place markets itself as a sober bar but Kratom & Kava are both psychoactive & Kratom is terribly addictive with bad withdrawals I've been told.

I just visited the new Kava bar and it was wonderful. Dan, the bartender, was very knowledgeable about the different offerings there. He was also really fun to talk to, which is a great quality in a bartender...so tip him well! I wanted to decompress so I sampled a bowl of kava and a thimble of kratom red tea. Let me tell you, the effect was noticeable almost immediately. I hadn't felt that upbeat and relaxed in too long. I can;t drink alcohol anymore because I've gotten too sensitive for it but I still like the idea of having a relaxing beverage, so I can't wait to go back for more. It won't be long before this place is drawing crowds from noon to midnight. Dan said that kava is used ceremonially in its country of origin. I can definitely see that. The drink made me feel present, reflective, calm, and connected to everyone and everything. I went on to do my errands without a false sense of urgency. I will say that the other shoppers seemed slightly impatient with me at Sprouts, so be prepared to move on a different timeline after imbibing. They have energizing blends as well. Roots and Leaves is so attractive inside. There's a long bar with comfortable stools and also a section with sofas and easy chairs.

This Kava bar the place to be! Why go anywhere else? The vibe is more laid back than any coffee shop in town and it’s a great place to hangout and get some work done. They sell high-quality kava, kratom and teas. If you’ve never tried it…...well then, you should try it. Kava and kratom have a very nice relaxing, euphoric effect while increasing focus. They have open-mic on Tuesday evenings with some very talented local musicians and poets. The kava bar tenders: The Triple T’s and a C, (True, Tristan, Trenton, and Cory) are the real rockstars behind the bar. Giving new patrons informative information about the drinks on offer and keeping the kava shells flowing!

Went here when it first opened. Drinks are good — my suggestion is to work on the decor so it feels less like a Kava sports bar (too many screens!) — kava bar tenders were knowledgeable. :)

So when I go here it's always with friends and I always ask for something without kava or kratom because serotonin syndrome is something I can easily get. They gave me a ginger soda with cbd, started drinking got some of the effects of cbd and then started feeling really weird, I looked at the ingredients and what does it have in it? I have a rapid metabolism with duplicate in my liver which is what Kava and Kratom would slow down. Kava leaf, I'm instantly disappointed, I can't drink this anymore because I've had serotonin syndrome before, I was so sad about this. Also the kava tenders suggested I talk to my psychiatrist about getting off my medication and switching to this, the problem is I have bipolar disorder which is not at all recommended for kava or kratom consumption as it can lead to a psychotic break which is more common in people with mood disorders that aren't depression or anxiety. I researched the whole thing before I came and both times I came I left disappointed in the service and lack of knowledge of products and why maybe telling a psychiatric patient what they should do is not appropriate and illegal.

Trenton is one of the best kavatenders we've ever met. He is very knowledgeable and has a passion for the product.

This place is pretty unique. It functions like a cross between a bar and a coffeehouse, but it's neither. They serve kava and a range of fermented and medicinal teas. The location makes a great non-alcoholic hangout space. It has comfy seating, art on the walls, bar games and occasional events. And they're open til midnight - rare for Santa Fe. The one downside is that there's no kitchen. So the only food offerings are prepackaged - chips, trail mix, poptarts and instant ramen. Which is a shame, because some of their teas would pair really well with food.

Great drinks, love the BOGO Mondays and happy hour! The new manager Jay-rad is the man!!! Super knowledgeable and hospitable. I’ll be back next time I’m in Santa Fe!

Love this place. Great service great staff great drinks great offers. Tuesdays are open mic. Awesome kava I mainly drink kratom. Red kratom after work. Green during the day. Awesome spot. Want to get kratom to take at home in the future.

This place definitely lives up to all the great reviews! It is by far one of the most easy-going, accepting places to hang out and just enjoy being yourself. I wish there was one of these bars in every major city in America. Much aloha to all the great staff working here, too. 🤙🏻

Interesting place. The "bartender" was nice and somewhat knowledgeable but calling it a sober bar is a bit of a stretch. Sure there's no alcohol but the patrons in there were high on something and I don't think it was something they got here. There was a really obnoxious foul mouthed guy with lots of opinions so we hung out with the pinball machines. Do unbiased research before you decide to drink anything here. Or trading one addiction for another.

I love this place! Finally a sober bar to socialize in with great events. And a great plant based entheogenic change of pace. Enjoy the atmosphere and local artists displaying great visionary paintings. Good people.

This wonderful new place is offering something Santa Fe has been lacking. Just tonight a host of extraordinarily talented people have shown up to an open mike; poetry, unaccompanied singing, a rocking tune played on a 1984 Casio keyboard…! Each brought a vital and vibrant atmosphere to the unique and potent drink offerings. Rich flavors and soothing experiences with these special elixirs abound! A good time all round!

What can I say about this place other than: I love it!! Great vibe and pretty good tea. I had the blue lotus and it made me feel decently relaxed. It kinda tasted like magic mushrooms but not in a bad way. Very earthy and I love how the tea is steeped. I just got the vibe that you come here, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere. I will come back again if I’m ever in Santa Fe
