Absolutely my favorite bakery in town. A total gem. They offer a variety of organic expertly-made bread. They only use super high-quality ingredients. Delicious cookies and pastries. Highly recommend!

This is the best bakery… my favorite croissants 🥐 and incredible bread. All produced with great care. We get a loaf of the Quinoa Sunflower Sourdough, sourdough baguette 🥖 and croissants weekly… phenomenal. And when are visiting friends and fam a few hours away we haul bread as gifts. Enjoy this place in Santa Fe!

Excellent Danish style sourdough. Grabbed a half loaf and used it as hiking fuel for my whole visit to SF. I also really enjoyed their cardamom raisin scone (I had a hard time finding good scones in NM).

Wild Leaven packs a diverse spread of baked goods into a small space: challah, sourdough, German rye/sourdough mashups, viennoiserie… and a drinks menu to boot! I left with the molasses fennel sourdough rye (a fusion of sourdough and that dense German rye cube bread I love so much) and a ham and cheese croissant. The croissant lamination was on point! Puts Dolina down the street to shame. The ham in this croissant was a hefty rectangular prism of ham (rolled a la pain au chocolat), which was different and good, but I personally still favor a rolled slice :). Melted cheese crisps on the edge were delicious, but I found myself wishing more had stayed inside. All that said, it’s a fantastic croissant, and I will definitely order it again! The sourdough rye had a lovely maltiness to it and was delicious on its own (so many layers of flavors!) as well as a lovely vessel for avocado. I loved Wild Leaven and can’t wait to try more!

I stayed near Wild Leaven on a recent trip to Santa Fe, and ended up going back three times. The breakfast pastry I had was delicious, as was the hearty soup and bread I had for lunch. I purchased a loaf on the toasted walnut sourdough to take home with me, and have really enjoyed it as well!

I’m so lucky I get to be here every week! The weekly soup is always a happy surprise, as well as is everything on the menu. And the kombucha is so smooth and delicious. Try everything.

The bread is real food, not forbidden carbs - delicious, sustaining, healthy. Best in the nation! Bakery items also wonderful and great flavors and texture. Soup amazing. Chai ditto. No place as good anywhere.

Nice grab and go spot for breads, pastries, and soup. The ham and cheese croissant is solid to excellent and the chile cheese is very unique and tasty. The croissants are perfectly buttery, light, and flaky. Just thinking about it makes me want to go back for another one or 5!

What a wonderful selection and opportunity to try delicious breads and baked goods. In particular I like that you can buy smaller loaves as they sell by the pound or loaf! When I went in today for the first time I was offered some small pieces to taste the breads and they were all delicious, moist and yummy sourdough. I got the traditional sourdough and a sunflower and quinoa sourdough this vist, which they sliced for me. Next time I'll try the sprouted rye sourdough and another one. Love this place!

Best croissants we have ever had! My husband asked the baker what he recommended. He said the original, the green chile cheese, or the sweet almond croissant. So we got all 3!! They were light, flaky, and buttered to perfection 💯

While I love Wild Leaven’s wild yeast and whole grain breads, I absolutely swoon over their baguette and croissant. So nice to have a bakery that excels in both the hearty loaf and the buttery, crusty French specialties. And André and Jessica are the best!

Wild Leaven is the best bakery in New Mexico. I miss being able to buy the bread in a retail grocery store, but I love going to the source and getting something that is freshly baked. Being able to get cookies or croissants at the shop just adds to the experience, as well as visiting with the people who bake the bread.

Great place. So happy they are now in Santa Fe. We used to go to Taos to get our bread fix. The seasonal soups and the variety of breads are outstanding. A must for bread lovers.

This place has the best bread. Try the quinoa and sunflower bread. It's great toasted, with cheese and as a toasted cheese sandwich. Also the kombucha made with honey is simply delicious. I'm so glad they opened up here in Santa Fe.

Pricey but worth it - the almond croissant I had was delicious: crunchy, buttery and flavorful. The breads are also delicious with sustainably sourced ingredients. Recommend if it's a bit for your budget!

Absolutely exquisite baked goods. This is nothing like a mass-produced store-bought bread: you can really smell and taste the freshness. We're big fans of the Rye Fennel Molasses bread and especially the oatmeal raisin red chile cookie. We loved the green chili cheese bread (please bring that back!!) from the Taos store and we've recently enjoyed the creative soups from the Santa Fe shop. If you enjoy quality baked goods, please do yourself a favor and check this place out.

Was excited to try this place. My favorite food is chocolate croissants. Unfortunately the one I got here had an overly yeasty taste. Was hard to eat.

I'm so happy Wild Leaven has a store/restaurant in Santa Fe! I buy a few loafs of their bread every few weeks. I'm grateful that it is made from heritage grains, which are healthier and easier to digest than commercial grains. Plus, the flavors are delicious. My favorites are the original sourdough and cinnamon raisin. Honestly, I eat these breads every day and am always grateful. The service is kind and fun, and I can't wait to check out the new location. I'm sure it will be lovely. Thank you, Wild Leaven for your wonderful creativity and expertise!

Absolutely delicious, robust, flavorful bread. They have a nice selection of different sourdough loaves and pastries. I do understand the time and effort it takes to handcraft these bakery items, however, the pricing for all bakery items is too steep for my taste.
