This restaurant was discussed during our Santa Fe tour. It was highly recommended by our guide so we decided to have our lunch there. It certainly lives up to its hype. It is not a glitzy eatery but a basic restaurant that provides delicious food. I had the red/green chili enchiladas which were pretty spicy for me but worth the sting. I am an average spice-level person so those really into it may not feel it is that much but the flavors go beyond mere heat. Those who prefer mild fare beware. Served alongside was sopapilla and honey. Oh! Wow! Enough said. Service was friendly and helpful. The place is popular and opens early and closes by 2pm. So factor that in when you make plans. Their hours don’t make it worth a liquor license so the do not serve beer. Certainly not any deal breaker but keep it in mind. Tia Sophia’s is definitely a local legend and is worth finding out why.

Food was tasty. Basic Mexican food and the chile sauces were flavorful. Taco salad not great - huge inedible chunks of iceberg. Tostadas were good. Huevos tasty. Service was friendly but a little confused at the delivery. When we got our food, the waiter just placed the plates on the table and said “we’re out of rice” No explanation or alternative choice. Just very odd way to handle that.

Good value, delicious food, quick service. This is a no frills joint that serve hearty food with big portions at a cheap price. The fry bread is so amazing can’t believe it’s complimentary! You’ll leave in a food coma.

Saturday morning, I had the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito, red and green sauces, and it was amazing, it meets the hype. Even more impressive were the blue corn pancakes with the pinon nuts. I would suggest getting a couple on the side, you need to try both specialties!

Basic food here. The pancakes seemed like a box mix. The ham was similar to deli ham, not bone-in. The green chile sauce for the burrito was really good. The sausage was standard fare. The tortilla for the burrito seemed store-bought. The posole did not seem that fresh.

Passing thru Santa Fe on vacation. This Restaurant made the news for how good the food is. The staff were friendly they seated us quickly. My wife came for the Christmas breakfast burrito she loved it. The store was very clean. The service was fast. The food was served hot. The bathrooms were Clean. Parking is hard it's downtown. I had eggs and bacon no complaints. Thank you very much

Cute little old breakfast diner with good food and a homey atmosphere The people here are very nice and the service was very good. The food was good, but the service makes this place a homey, feel good, breakfast spot for people. The pancake was very good, and we got the enchiladas as well. Lacking a little something, but glad we tried this place.

Best Chili Relenos plate in NM. Fantastic Sopaipillas, large and the best. Three and green chili, pulled beaf burritos are very good. Highly recommend this restaurant while in SF for true NM food.

Planned on breakfast but got there a little late. No line. We walked in and were immediately seated. Ordered the Huevos Racheros and a beef burrito. Both were fantastic. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Santa Fe. Parking can be a little difficult in that area but not too bad.

Come before 11:00 am if you want the breakfast burritos, but lunch is just as good. Quick and yet cheerful service. Green chili stew, enchilada, chili rellenos, Good coffee as well. A good stop while walking the streets of Santa Fe downtown.

We drove across the country and this was easily the best meal we had the entire trip. Can't wait to go back and get a stuffed sopaipilla with green chile again. Great location right in town and friendly warm service 😁

Fantastic breakfast 😋 never had breakfast enchiladas and now I'm addicted. Got fresh made blue corn tortillas to go. The people are helpful and enjoyable. Thanks Theresa 😊

Amazing quiet little spot. Had breakfast. Tip. Get the blueberry pancakes. Don’t use the syrup. Use the cinnamon-sugar mix on the table. Add butter. Best I’ve ever had.

It's not a trip to Santa Fe without breakfast at Tia Sophia's. Atmosphere, food, service all exactly what we love.

Love this place! Must stop when visiting downtown Santa Fe. Great size portions, taste, service, and price. My go-to is breakfast burrito with red, green sauce, and sour cream.

Very quick, very tasty. The blue corn pinion pancakes were very unique and I now crave them. If you like pine nuts, give them a try. Chili sauce is spicy, but there's no shame in ordering it on the side so you can choose your own adventure. I highly recommend this option if you are over-spiced by jalapeno-level heat.

Great service, large portions of delicious food, and fair prices - what more could you want? I ordered the Santa Fe plate and she had the loaded nachos with beef, guacamole, and jalapenos. For the sopaipilla (bread pillow with the lunch special) - add honey and cinnamon and enjoy every bite!

Not the crown jewel of New Mexican cuisine but well above the average! It gets busy on weekends so plan ahead! Go for "Christmas style" for the full NM experience!

This place is wonderful and hasn't changed in many many years. Excellent New Mexican food, fast service, and good prices. I recommend the stuffed sopapilla. Both red and green chile are delicious. This is a family favorite.

This place is amazing! You gotta come here and try anything with Chile in it. We got enchiladas and huevos rancheros and they were both amazing. If I could buy their Chile, I would. They don’t take reservations so come early so you can put your name down coz it gets packed. Definitely must do.

Breakfast burrito was awesome especially with the sauces on the side so I can put just enough to enhance the flavors. Definitely recommend it.

SO. GOOD. We were told that this is the place to go for breakfast in Santa Fe, and we weren't let down. Ness was our waitress and provided great service. I'd highly recommend Sofias and hope to go back when I'm back in Santa Fe.

Hands down, one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. Get here early, as it gets busy and rightfully so! The coffee is a bit weak but the food is worth it. "Christmas" is the way to go to get a taste of both the green and red chiles.
