Santa Fe is one of those places famous for its great restaurants and coffee shops. There are usually so many good places to go to, that one finds it hard to choose one from the extensive list of gourmet locals to go to, and it almost feels like choosing one is sacrificing 20 other great options... Knowing this before hand, I can say that “Il Vicino” is for sure one of those stops you don’t want to miss on your trip to Santa Fe if you are a fan of wood oven pizza. This place does not only offer delicious food options, but it also has a great environment to it. During COVID19 hardest restrictions days, they made accommodations on their beautiful outdoor space, and offered all the security measures for their customers. The staff is extremely attentive and nice, their waiting time is excellent, for they have quick service, and the menu is awesome as well, offering fresh and great quality ingredients, and for the pizza, having that wood-smoked- oven flavor to it that happens to be irresistible. They also have THEIR OWN Brewing company, which allows them to serve their own beer brand “Canteen”, an internationally awarded beer that is definitely worth trying!! I particularly loved their Amber Ale option. I fully recommend this place, it is ideal for all types of customers, whether you are on a romantic trip, or as a family visit, as long as you love amazing pizza and salads, this is the place!!

Loved everything we ordered! I got a custom pizza with a garlic sauce, pine nuts, fancy cheese, artichoke hearts and other goodies and they were generous with the toppings. The flavors were all tasty, and the crust was perfect. My husband got the lamb and beef meatballs with red sauce and noodles and next time that might be what I order! All components were divine and all textures were perfect. Additionally, the staff I encountered when picking up the food were all friendly and helpful. We will be back!

Pizza was delicious, love the wood fire. We were extra excited because they also offered a vegan cheese for the pizza(we're allergic to dairy), that is a hard thing to find. I got the prosciutto and arugula it was delicious, kiddo had a simple vegan cheese pizza. Both excellent, will go back.... Went back and had equally delicious food, a regular cheese #4 and a vegan cheese with artichoke hearts, capers, and garlic. Both delicious

Went here on a slow Saturday with my gf for dinner and we had a great experience. The staff was nice and the food came out in minutes. We were shocked at how fast everything came out -we got salads and a large pizza to share. The outdoor dining was cute and it wasn't loud sitting outside . The pizza!! So light and delicious. I was obsessed. I'm a big fan now. I am temporarily mobility-impaired but I didn't have much trouble navigating the restaurant on crutches, but there are a few little single steps to enter and get in some parts of the restaurant, if I remember correctly.

We came here because it was conveniently located next to our hotel. We tried the Alfredo pasta and a pepperoni pizza. Pizza was great and came with fresh Parmesan. The pasta left a lot to be desired. The portion was small, and it was very greasy and bland. The food took about half an hour to come out for a pickup order. Seating in the waiting area was very limited.

We anticipated a wonderful pizza which we waited 45 minutes to receive. Fortunately, for the couples before and after us received a wonderful pizza while our pie sat getting cold. They offered to reheat but it is never quite the same. I give the service a one star rating which is generous.

Amazing pizza. You won't regret giving them a try. I had all meat with olives and a small glass of beer. My cousin had the pepperoni. Friendly staff from start to finish. It was a little warm that day, so I was just a bit uncomfortable in the dining area. The bathroom was clean, but the toilet needs bolted to the floor, a little scary.

I’ve been coming here for almost 20 years and this place has been consistently delicious. Service is fantastic and owners really care about their establishment. Best pizza in town.

Ok. Here's the deal. Order as you enter and then take a seat. Whatever you order will be fantastic. We shared a couple pizzas and a salad with our daughter taking the penne alfredo. My wife cleaned that up was the sign that was good too. The pizzas are very light and smooth with the toppings standing out. Grab a beer or wine to go with your meal and your set. Enjoy!

While visiting a few museums in Santa Fe, I was thinking about where I wanted to eat afterward. It was pouring non-stop for a while, so the restaurant had to be within walking distance. After viewing restaurant after restaurant, I came across IL Vicino Wood Oven Pizza. All of the recent 5 star reviews were a promising sign, and their menu sealed the deal. I immediately craved having a bianca pizza. After a few minutes of walking through the rain, I arrived and was looking forward to having some pizza. I ordered the Bianca pizza with a glass of cab sauv and had a wonderful experience enjoying everything about that meal. I definitely recommend this restaurant. The service was warm and kind as well. Thank you for a great experience!

We usually dine in but tonight we had take out! Ordering over the phone was simple and the food was ready for pick up on time! The staff is friendly and the food is great! When dining in you place your order at the front, they will give you a number and you choose your seat!

OMG put this in your food hole. I had a #50 custom pepperoni, mushroom, and Spinach my son had the meatball pizza. Best pizza in memory if not ever. It was a very memorable meal and the meatballs on the pizza I not only liked i actually enjoyed.

Got the small Angeli pizza. Perfect size for a normal appetite. At first it seemed too small, but in the end, it was just right. Flavor was very good with the sauce not overpowering while the mix of ingredients worked well. My only gripe would be that the crust under the toppings was somewhat chewy. However, this did not detract from the overall flavor. Would definitely recommend.

My sister and I stopped by this cute restaurant on our way to the NM Museum of Art and we’re so happy we did. The people from the front desk to the servers and everyone in between were incredibly kind, helpful, and respectful. Then the salads came out - mine was the Spinaci and it was the best tasting salad I’d had in a long time. The pizza was good, too. The dessert, tiramisu for me, was a generous portion but I finished it all - yum. Fast service in case you’re in a rush heading to a show or the theater. Great experience!

This place is absolutely amazing, the food, the service, and the atmosphere are all top notch!!! I am so pleased to have found this place!! I got the vegetarian lasagna and couldn’t stop eating it. It comes out it’s a delicious rustic bread crusty outside soft inside, absolutely mouthwatering and a stomach warmer. Perfect on a cold night! I ordered a Pizza togo with their Caesar salad… yum absolutely yum!!! I have no other words. The he pizza reheated amazingly the next day and tasted just as good as when I got it fresh. Hands down would recommend!!!

Great casual Italian restaurant. You order at the entrance and then they serve you the food at the table, which you choose on your own. Service is great and so is the food. Nothing too fancy, but tasty. The parking lot is in the back of the complex shared with other businesses. Be aware that you have to pay parking through the app, even on Sundays. The app is easy to download and use so, don't let that stop you from visiting.

Always busy but the staff is always friendly and hard working. Food is delicious. Had the chocolate tort for dessert and it was worth the calories! Also enjoyed the basil lemonade and house brewed root beer.

It was nice how you ordered before you sit down, because then you sit down and immediately are waiting for your food. Then you can leave once you’re done eating (don’t have to wait for a bill). I got the calzone, which was delicious.

Most delicious pizza I ever tasted! I live in Espanola and I'll drive to Santa Fe just to come here and my kids love as well. Salad 🥗 is awesome with the house made dressing. You'll definitely find something you'll love here for sure and won't be disappointed.

Excellent pizza and nice beer selection. Each table has spicy oil and pepper flakes. They have a patio that is mostly covered with a corner that is outside. Excellent place to hang out and eat. I eat here every summer.

Their website has lots of nice pictures of wood baked pizzas. They look great and look like they would taste great. What we got was something different and certainly not great. The online ordering was fine but if I had a do over I would pick a nice local place, a place where the food tastes better than what's promised in the picture

Very good pizza and cesar salad perfect amount of sauce and cooked perfectly. Would definitely recommend this place for a great pizza.
