First time eating here but we'll definitely come back. Tons of flavor in the enchiladas and the salads had a unique and delicious flavor.

In the mood for a hella delicious, hearty New Mexican breakfast right outside of beautiful downtown Sante Fe? Look no further, because I am convinced you won't find any close to as fantastic as Palacio Café. My God, it's one of those places you look back on and can remember how wonderful the entire meal was by the second. I started my meal with a mocha ($3.99). It came fast and steaming hot! It was the perfect balance of expresso and chocolately heaven. The real deal though was the Smothered Breakfast Burrito (two eggs, potatoes, cheddar cheese bacon or sausage [I got bacon], rolled in a large flour tortilla and topped with red or green chile sauce, $9.75). I couldn't decide on red or green so I chose Christmas. This baby came out piping hot, and I could smell it as the server was bring it to me. It was absolutely incredible. The thing was so stuffed with the fillings. There was a generous amount of bacon and the red and green chile sauces were a great contrast. I would 100% recommend ordering the Christmas style. The red sauce added a lot of spice while the green was milder but more flavorful. Overall, it was so effing good! I can't express how much I feel in love with this restaurant and if it wasn't my last day in Sante Fe I would have come back every morning. You really gotta check this place out. Based off the reviews about their lunches and dinners I've definitely made it a personal mission to return to Palacio Café next sting in this city.

If you need a place to eat in the plaza (especially on Sundays when other restaurants are closed), this is a good option. Their service is a bit slow, but if you’re not in a hurry, you’ll get some good food after your wait. We had the Enchilada plate (chicken), Steak tacos, Chicken salad, and Tamales. Everything was great and we even had some Mexican Cokes with it too.

Charming cafe with wonderful outside patio that is pet friendly. Best pancakes I’ve ever had I think, truly delicious food and very nice staff. Would highly recommend and would return!

WORST EXPERİENCE EVER! We found piece of thread in our french toast and it was definitely cooked with the bread. when we explained the situation to the server he didn’t even apologize, he said it probably came from the cleaning cloth that he use it for every table. Also the fun part was he insisted the cloth was very clean and nothing to worry about lol. It’s not acceptable at all , if can not even say sorry for the inconvenience don’t run a business. So if you eat a food included CLEAN WASHING CLOTHS , that’s the right place.

This little Mexican diner is the best! Everything was wonderful. Very friendly and welcoming, which is sometimes not true in tourist towns. The owner makes the best flan anywhere. It is creamy and not overly sweet. We went back three times. Great chili rellenos.

Palacio is always great. The staff are always friendly and accommodating, and the food is amazing! We like to eat at the patio. My favorite dish is the relleno plate.

Great food and friendly staff! We had breakfast here on our way out of town and it’s definitely worth visiting! (I got the smothered burrito with sauce on the side)

Excellent food and service, with a small private courtyard giving you a meal bathed in comfortable Santa Fe sun. Save room for the flan for a tasty dessert to finish off a memorable meal!

Excellent breakfast!!! Still thinking about the Huevos Rancheros! Wife’s French Toast was delicious. Service was awesome. Small place, so expect a wait. Well worth it.

We had such a wonderful visit to Palacio Restaurant! We were seated immediately and sat in the back - perfect, relaxing atmosphere for a beautiful day. The chips and salsa were some of the best we’ve ever had! We also ordered the steak tacos and chicken enchiladas. We LOVED the flavor on the steak tacos. The enchiladas were also delicious, our favorite was the green chile sauce. The family that runs this business were so kind and hospitable. We would definitely recommend stopping by on your trip to Santa Fe.

Palacio is a solid stop for any meal in Santa Fe! It delivers traditional NM cuisine, in a very laid back atmosphere. For our lunch today, service was a bit slow (it wasn’t really busy, we arrived at 2PM). That sentiment is expressed by other Yelpers. That said, the food was worth the wait. We started with chips and salsa/guacamole, both were good. The avocado in the guacamole was puréed, we prefer chunky avocado, but the flavor was good. The salsa was very fresh, but we prefer a little heat… the chips were thin and crispy… on point. We shared the chicken enchilada platter, “Christmas Style,” which came with beans and pozole. The enchiladas were very good, chicken super tender and tasty. Both chili sauces very good, we preferred the red, just a personal taste thing… Good food, good price, funky cool setting (the art on the walls inside is fun), and the small patio out back is very relaxing. Recommend this place!

Our visit to Palacio Cafe was nothing short of amazing. The food was delicious, service was prompt and kind, and the ambiance was wonderful. I had a tamale plate with both red and green. Although they both were hot, to me, the red was hotter. The chili was perfect, just spicy and flavorful enough without ruining the pace of the meal. The tamales were so good along with the beans. The posole is some of the best I’ve had. I’m definitely ordering a side of it next time. The atmosphere is quiet and intimate with lots of plants. The music was just loud enough to hear but low enough to hear your company which I appreciated. The margarita was delicious as well, not too strong with a great flavor. Very nice, cozy place. I can’t wait to go again!

The MOST excellent breakfast burrito with eggs, crispy hash browns, sausage & cheese...smothered in Christmas-style Chile sauce (red & green) over the most tender tortilla. Service was quick, efficient and everyone was very friendly! 5stars for Damien and his crew!

Very low-key and reasonably priced restaurant in a convenient location. We came here for dinner and really enjoyed it. The food was good and the service was very nice.

The best Christmas enchiladas in Santa Fe! They were so good our first night in town we had to make a second visit before leaving. The beans & pizzole were so flavorful as well. Highly recommend!

Palacio is a delicious little restaurant just steps off the Plaza in Santa Fe. We went for breakfast and would absolutely recommend it. I had the pancakes, which were fluffy and a good texture, and then a side of hash browns. The latter were crispy but not overdone. Many restaurants either don’t cook them enough or go too far; Palacio did them perfectly. My husband had the french toast with a side of bacon and he said they were a 5/5. The service was friendly and professional, and the entrees came quickly. Next time we’re in Santa Fe we’ll be returning!

Just tried this little gem this morning. First off, the welcome and subsequent service was warm, friendly, unhurried and all around welcoming. We were there early and sat at one of the two sidewalk tables and chatted with a friendly couple and their well behaved dog. We originally wanted to sit at the back patio but it was being cleaned (good to know!). We both loved our breakfast and the other couple said the same. I loved traditional hash browns and these were it. The bacon was thin and very crispy (per our request). They have a great coffee machine as well so you can get coffee beyond traditional drip coffee. Plus, they open at 7:30 while many places do not open until 9 so we were able to get a start on our day early.

So good we came back twice! Everything was great. Both the interior and patio are cozy, but the best part of dining in is the service. You’ll be treated like family here. We were greeted with smiles and great recommendations. You are never rushed here. The food is amazing too! The posole is so much better than the shed’s. It comes with crisp lettuce and a fresh warm, soft flour tortilla. Imo the only way to eat posole. Their salsa and chiles are also extremely fresh and flavorful. Lastly, you GOTTA get the flan. It is smooth, creamy, subtly sweet, and made with love 💕 My last recommendation is the columbin coffee. It’s balanced and smooth.

If some in your party need a break from the great Mexican food in Santa Fe, try this place for a good mix of Mexican and other foods. Lovely patio area as well as indoor seating. Breakfast served as well. A great start for your walk around downtown.

Food was delicious. Tamales with green sauce were amazing. Club sandwich and fries as well. Service was VERY slow, would've been 5 stars if not for that

Excellent spot for New Mexican cuisine in a friendly, family run cafe. I visited here a few years ago and was excited to get back this morning to enjoy their veggie breakfast burrito again. A lot of other families enjoying their breakfast and everyone was having a great time. Highly recommended when in Santa Fe!

We love stopping for breakfast at the Palacio Cafe when en route to Pagosa Springs. It's a good stopping point for us and the kids are always excited for their food. We devoured a super fluffy pancake for the table. I enjoy the chai tea latte and the Eggs Benedict. My kids had french toast and the Palacio Breakfast! My wife had the Huevos Rancheros. Everything was delicious!

Cozy place right by the plaza with fantastic food. The Taos panini is a must try (one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in awhile), as is the flan. So glad we stumbled upon this. Staff is friendly and service is excellent. If we stayed more days in Santa Fe we’d definitely have been back for more!

Breakfast burrito smothered in melted cheese and green chile sauce. Really good, and the courtyard out back was a nice place to sit and linger.

We went here for breakfast two days in a row because the food was so amazing. The people working there are some of the friendliest we have encountered in a long time. Can’t recommend their breakfast burrito and French toast enough!
