My son and I bike from the east side of Santa Fe to Counter Culture for breakfast. One of our favorite spots and constantly good. It's also bike and dog friendly!

Their enormous cinnamon rolls are to die for but bring another person. THEN the French toast they make out of their cinnamon rolls is diabetes on a plate. AMAZING. Great coffee, great lunch. This is probably my favorite place to eat in Santa Fe. That’s why it somewhat pains me to say the following. I’m sure you can guess by the name that if you have normal people political opinions you shouldn’t even think of expressing them out loud here. You’re in Santa Fe though, everyone in this town has decided rectally is the proper place to store sticks and is completely disconnected from the reality of the rest of the world. Get your food to go and they’re cash only.

I always have a great meal at Counter Culture. The food and staff are great. The operation runs smoothly and the food is out quickly. I had the: steak sandwich carne asada, swiss cheese, grilled onions, lime & serrano aioli on baguette w/haystax My friend had: house roasted turkey sandwich swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, avocado sprouts & mayo on whole wheat bread It all delicious. The owner hooked us up with some chocolate Bundt cake. It had a rich chocolatey and moist butter cream frosting and the cake itself was off the hook. I’ve been a customer for many years and it is one that is always on point, and one that I plan visit soon. Great for meetings Excellent WiFi Good vibe

We are in town vacationing. Our friend lives here and she suggested we do lunch. They have a variety of items on the menu. There’s something here for everyone foodies’ taste. I had the “Culture Club.” It has Turkey, bacon, and avocado on it! What’s there not to like about that? It usually comes with fries but I subbed a salad. Only one drawback. They insist on cash. They have card machines right there at the register. Who carries cash anymore? I found that inconvenient. Someone else had to pay for my lunch, because they insisted on cash. All in all, the food was excellent. We enjoyed it out in the patio area.

They have a vegan breakfast burrito that they can also make with corn tortillas so it’s gluten free. Nice atmosphere, and the food came quickly and was delicious! Coffee tasted a little burnt, I don’t typically go for the dark roast flavors, and they were all dark roast, but happy with the free refills!

I've given up on CC. I used to like it, but there's always something glaringly wrong with what I order. Wrong Chile on a burrito is something I can forgive, but once the blonde counter girl rang in a child's quesadilla instead of a breakfast one for my boyfriend, and countless other things. Today, I got a breakfast quesadilla and only half of it had some egg. The other just had a slab of avocado and bacon. It's always a disappointment. I'd highly recommend going elsewhere, like Tune Up or Palacio Cafe.

Counter Culture was so good! We came back from a long hike and we were starving. This really hit the spot! I ordered a quesadilla with a salad and the salad was absolutely amazing. Definitely recommend.

Amazingly great food, vegan, and carnivore eats. Clean bathroom and just a remarkable staff that will take good care of their customers. The atmosphere is what greatness you can feel and bring to this gem of an eatery. I so enjoyed the steak sandwich with the bountiful of fries. Salads, sandwiches, and even more goodies. This place just astonished me and my grandchildren... yes, I brought picky eaters and a vegan on at that, such a great place to enjoy great food. Browse the menu order and get your utensils and necessities, and find a cozy table to your liking until you receive your order. It is so delicious. Enjoy.

Was introduced to this fabulous place for breakfast. A very popular place! I ordered the Gravlox- and it was awesome! Very tasty salmon with capers, pickles, served on a bed of argula! I liked the atmosphere, and there is so much more on the menu I want to try! I will be going back!

The food was outstanding and menu was creative. Great place to meet people and enjoy good food and company without being rush out. The folks taking orders seemed distracted when taking orders and I had to ask the same question a few times and still got the wrong answer.

Lived in Santa Fe for over 20 years and never knew about this place. Heard about it through a Facebook post, went over and definitely will go back. Food was great and plentiful.

Tuesday, August 1. 9:15 am Counter Culture is a local breakfast and lunch place that has been in Santa Fe for a long time, open 7 days a week, 8 to 3. We came for breakfast and ordered at the counter. There was no waiting in line and our food was served quickly. We sat at a picnic table on the back patio. Dogs are welcome on the outdoor patios and a little one was next to us. The patio was quiet with traffic noise in the distance but nothing that interfered with conversation. (76 dB) I ordered the Gravlox, house-cured salmon on a fresh baguette served with capers, cucumber serrano (tart and peppery, a real compliment to the arugula) and lemon dill crema on a base of mixed greens. I love salmon and this did not disappoint. All was fresh and attractive on the plate. My husband ordered the Cowboy Bowl. This was a bowlful of black beans, homefries, red and green chile topped with melted cheese, two over easy eggs (or any way you like them), two long and nicely fried strips of bacon and a flour tortilla. He enjoyed the combination of ingredients in the ample bowl and the “nice spiciness” of the dish. Though we were here for breakfast, the wide range of choices (way too many to mention here) for breakfast (served all day) and lunch is notable. Everything from a banh mi entree to a middle eastern salad with spanakopita. And, of course, they have burgers. Our breakfasts were both around $14 and well worth the price. We have eaten here many times before and will be back here again

Delicious food but they DO NOT TAKE RESERVATIONS. I called about 10 days out from needing a place for Sunday brunch for 10 people and was told they did. I was told to call the Friday before. So I called Friday and was told they don’t take reservations. I called Sunday morning and they weren’t busy and had space for us. At that point, I couldn’t change plans. So I’m glad it worked out. It wasn’t busy at 9am Sunday but oh man it was packed around 11. Great spot but not suited for large groups unless you go at an off time or have someone go early to save a long table. Fairly kid friendly though — they have some bins of toy animals that my toddler would have loved. We might go back when the weather is nicer because there’s a great patio.

Simply the best place to have lunch at in Santa Fe. Full stop. I am a very harsh critic and I love this place. I've gotten burritos, pancakes, sandwiches, and Asian dishes here. It's shocking how these drastically different dishes can all be made with such attention to detail. Truly a fantastic little place to have breakfast or lunch.

If you haven't been to Counter Culture you are missing out! This is by far one of the top restaurants in Santa Fe with amazing food, giant signature cinnamon rolls, yummy coffee and desserts and a great staff. We love going for breakfast the most and try hard to eat something new each visit.

Just WOW. So hard to decide. Everything on the menu looked fantastic. We can’t wait to go back! On recommendation by one of the staff, we got the breakfast cowboy bowl. They also had a special breakfast quesadilla. Both were great, but the bowl was over the top. Huge portions. Cash only. Going on our Santa Fe fave list!!

I was so happy to have found you today. I ordered the Middle Eastern Salad and I also got the Sour Cream Coffee cake that nibbled on until my food arrived. Everyone working there were so nice and helpful and…. Bonus… one of the Kitchen Staff Sings- really good ;-) I will be back. Stephanie

This is one of the local favorite famous for the cinnamon bun. Personally I don’t like cinnamon bun so I went for their regular breakfast menu. I ordered cowboy boy. The portion is massive, it needs two person to finish. It’s also very heavy with a lot of cheese, sauce and carb. Not sure if it’s healthy option but it taste decent. You go to counter to order then take a number to find wherever to sit. Clean up after you finish. Self serve is pretty efficient.

The space was beautiful and spacious. I tried the frittata, it was bursting with unexpected flavor and served with mixed greens. The coffee was excellent with several choices available. Attentive wait staff. Great spot for a leisurely Sunday morning breakfast.

You order at the counter. The menu has enough options to please most palates. I ordered the caprese salad sandwich. It was tasty but the tomato slices could have been slightly bigger. I also opted for the fries. They were good but weren't crispy, like they'd been sitting out for a few minutes instead of cooked fresh for my order.

CASH ONLY!! It’s always fresh. Been coming here for over 5 years. We always get the middle eastern salad, and some of their super large cinnamon rolls, but they only sell those on certain days.
