I am struggling to reconcile our experience with the reviews on Google. Clearly this place seems to be a hit or miss. The location as mentioned by everyone is definitely great. Walking distance to most places of interest. However the room we booked, which is supposedly the high end one with a butler, overlooked a main road and suffered from a lot of traffic noise. The place can do with an upgrade. The air conditioning in our room was incredibly loud. The amenities in the room were just ok. We ran out of coffee pods on day 1 and though housekeeping came by to clean the room they did not replenish it. The lounge in the hacienda was supposed to serve breakfast and coffee at 7 am but on our day of departure they weren’t open. And the kid at the front desk, obviously untrained, insisted that it should be open and that I should just check back again. Of course it wasn’t. We had to leave for a road trip and didn’t have time to have a full breakfast at the restaurant. So when I checked out I politely mentioned to the front desk that they should let guests know if the complimentary breakfast is not available. The reaction from the front desk was almost aggressive, leaving me stunned. He explained that he had to deal with multiple guests on the same issue so he wasn’t having a good morning. It still left a bad taste in my mouth. Overall this is not a place I’d return to, despite the stellar reviews from others.

Everyone there went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable! The staff at the front desk were professional and friendly. Shout out to Rick who drove us around the beautiful town of Santa Fe. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The lovely staff at the hotels spa was amazing and so was the 55min massage! We went in December and the hotel itself is so warm and inviting with a ton of character. Would recommend this establishment to anyone looking for some charm. I couldn't remember all the names but the entire staff just awesome.

Loved this hotel. The friendliest and most helpful staff you could wish for. Pet friendly rooms close to exits so you can easily walk your fur baby. Fantastic shuttle service, nice in house restaurants, fun cocktail bay, wonderful and fun hotel. Would highly recommend and hope to return. Shout out to Andrew, the best shuttle driver/concierge. Helped us and many others to find the best place to eat and shop.

The one thing I agree with everyone on is the great location. The rooms felt old and had zero amenities besides a safe which I have no use for. Room was clean and bed was okay, but the thermostat in the room didn't work at all and I woke up to a room that was more like 66 degrees than the 72 I set it to. Then after cranking it up because it was so cold in the room I noticed the air from the vent was still cold. There was no breakfast. I feel like if you're going to charge a $15 "resort fee" I shouldn't be feeling like I just stayed at an Econo Lodge. $190 for a room then $40 in fees you get double taxed on. If you don't mind forking out $230 for a room that doesn't even have a fridge this mind be the place for you.

Positive: The design is in keeping with the Santa Fe vibe. The location is easy to get to and there is easy and plenty of free parking. The restaurant had good food and coffee and dessert in a nice setting. The downtown area is about a 10 minute walk, so just outside the main area. The staff was nice. Microwave and safe in room. Could improve: Regular room is a little cramped and slightly dated. Bathroom is small. Bathroom had a couple of minor issues -- leaking shower head and crooked towel rack. There is NO coffee maker coffee in the room. I haven't been on a hotel room of any quality in 40 years that did not have a coffee maker. Instead the floor you are on has coffee near the elevators in the morning. early So no evening coffee. You have to get dressed and walk to a common area in the morning. This is a big negative. The blinds are venetian style and don't block light so be prepared to be up early with light. No room service. Only housekeeping every other day. Not the hotel's fault but you should be aware, the property is bordered by two fairly busy streets and for some reason in Santa Fe people like loud muffler cars that roar and Rev every couple of minutes until late hours. It's very loud. It's too bad and seems like the city should do something about it.

We visited Santa Fe for work and decided to stay the weekend for a romantic getaway. We contacted spa services twice to set up spa services, with absolutely no response. Upon our arrival, the guest room was extremely warm. We arrived in the wee hours of the morning, so rather than making a complaint, we opened the patio door to let the freezing air outside in to cool the room. After work early the next day, the room remained above comfortable temperatures. We spoke to guest services, which only agreed to swap our room for a smaller, equally hot room. We noticed that no other patrons appeared to be in our portion of the hotel. Again, we spoke to guest services with little to no response, so we left and made other arrangements. The hotel was beautiful, but the service was horrific.

I'd like to acknowledge Kevin at the front desk for his great personality and hospitality. The hotel was very peaceful and comfortable, with a laid-back vibe. The room was clean and the towels were exceptional. We utilized the free shuttle which was prompt, convenient and friendly. Our requests were graciously accommodated. We would definitely stay here again!

One of the top 5 or 6 hotels in all of Santa Fe. It is very high end and it is very nice. We enjoyed the restaurant very much. I particularly love the pool in the backyard and the hot tub. Is absolutely immaculate property. It is not cheap but I would highly recommend if money is not an issue. Very nice place.

Great stay and amenities. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay pleasurable. The location is great, right near the rail yards district. The free shuttle that took you anywhere within a mile radius was a huge plus. Especially since it was a vintage UK taxi. We loved the guy that played the flute on Thursday evening. Overall, a great value and a bit quirky in all the right ways. We did not eat at the hotel because there were so many other amazing restaurants around the corner.

Really enjoyed our stay. We loved the laid-back vibe of this place. It was a short walk to the Plaza and other sites, and they also have a shuttle that will drive you there and pick you up. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Our room was large and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Went here for drinks and to attend a seminar. Nice little venue, but it's a little confusing when you walk in the front on where to exactly go. Bar is dark, which is good for intimate parties. It can be a bit tricky to find parking. The room was nicely decorated, clean, and in good shape.

We’re regular travelers to Santa Fe and we truly we adore the city and the vibe. We were excited to stay overnight at a new hotel as our usual was already full. Our fam had 2 rooms, one on first and one on third floor. Pros: Hotel looks beautiful from outside; it’s close to the Railway Arts District which was so fun on a Friday night, and hotel is 10 min walkable to town centre. Great cocktails and nice outdoor patio, kind bar staff. Cons: Shabby rooms, extremely overpriced for what you get, bathroom was just awful - looked like a Motel 6 no kidding, plus dirty. Hair everywhere and just overall gross. Icky. Ewww. Outdated room, wall/trim/tile/baseboards in disrepair, plus hideous carpet. Yuck, no thank you. Would not recommend, would not stay again. On par with a $99 a night highway motel. And we paid a lot $$$ for our rooms. We were totally ripped off but had no energy to complain… sometimes you just wonder how these things perpetuate but like taylor says it’s just exhausting.

We come here every year to have Christmas Dinner. We live in town. Tonight Christmas Dinner (December 25th, 2023) was exceptional! We were sitting 5 feet away from a famous Rock Star! I sure wish we would have asked who it was! Does anyone know? (Approximately around 5-6 pm)

Nice enough venue. The tea and coffee spread in the lobby and on each floor is cute, but the hot water for tea is made in a coffee pot that tastes like coffee and ruins the tea. The rooms are spacious and the decor is very Santa Fe. There is ample free parking. Kevin at the front desk is absolutely fantastic. Some issues, though: Bad internet that drops out for 5-10 minute lapses. Toilet ahd problems flushing. I was in a room overlooking the breakfast area (rooms 281-285) and it gets loud at 6:30 am with clinking glasses. There was trash in the very unattractive concreted-over pool. There was trash on the astroturf in the breakfast area that was there both days. The bed wasn't flat, and the sheets don't quite cover it, so they bunch up at night and pull down off the blanket (there's no duvet cover, just two sheets over the blanket). The one meal I had in the cafe/restaurant was super underwhelming but not inedible. Given how great some of the hotels in Santa Fe are, this was disappointing, but I got a good rate so it was more affordable than many at about $260/night.

Decent hotel. Solid four star. I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and coffee placed pretty much everywhere in the morning. The property also has a shuttle that will take you to any destination. Two problems. 1) The wifi is terrible. Usually this wouldn’t be a problem, but the cell reception for data is spotty depending where you are on the property. Tried to work, and half trouble getting enough bandwidth for a zoom call. 2) Spa required 24 hours advanced booking. Had wanted to get a massage (on a short reservation) but was bummed that it would take so long to get an appointment

Really the perfect place to stay in Santa Fe, the staff is wonderful, the amenities are great and the location is perfect. Their lobby is so nice to sit and relax with a drink, their breakfast room is wonderful to enjoy a fire and the peaceful garden, and the spa is lovely. You can easily walk to the railyard and the plaza for shopping and great food, but even better the shuttle is useful if its too cold to get around on foot. I will always stay at the Hotel Santa Fe as the staff are all wonderful

It was friendly. Expectation’s were not met Pretty disappointed will have to think about going back. It’s a three star maybe a four-star at some point in the year but not when we were there. I do love Santa Fe though, Great town. And if you read Evan’s review from five days ago I would agree with everything you said to the tee!!

For a first time visit, this was absolutely welcoming. I loved the vibes from the staff. And of course, the restaurant staff 💁🏻‍♀️ Got invited from a friend to stay here - this place is definitely going on the list of places to stay in SF.

Girls trip with a friend and our daughters. Hotel was fine, nothing fancy but great ambiance. The entertainment Saturday night was nice and kids enjoyed. Room was acceptable. Hotel rooms could use some updating and better cleanliness. Pretty sure cookie and fruit in a basket with a card with someone's name was left from previous occupant. Although no coffee in room, the setup outside or in hallway was perfect and well kept. Fridge in room didn't work well but if it did, it would have been good to have. The 'suite' option with the living room and pull out couch was small but worked well with kids and had a separation between room and living room. Location was great. Shuttle was very slow to pick up and leave. Small walk to main plaza. Pool was small, but heated and good ambiance. Don't be fooled by some reviews - if they stayed in Hacienda part it's a totally different price point/room experience from what I can tell.

Traditional Santa Fe hacienda style hotel with the beauty and thoughtfulness of the Native American culture! Walking distance to The Santa Fe Plaza, stores and restaurants and if you don't want to leave the hotel, Amaya restaurant is excellent serving delicious New Mexican food as well as a nice selection of delicious healthy choices throughout the menu. Loved the rooms with unique and modern features and the artwork throughout the entire hotel. Well equipped workout room and if you're looking for a relaxing and invigorating message, Rosa Segura is your masseuse! The entire staff is warm, kind, thoughtful, compassionate with a foundation of LOVE yet very professional and efficient! The overall experience was outstanding, one that I would highly recommend to all!

The hotel is outstanding. The comfortable lobby and the rooms are decorated with beautiful Native American artifacts. Beautiful landscaping and lighting outside. The staff are welcoming and very helpful. Room service, if you don’t want to go to the on-site restaurant, is excellent. Beds and pillows are comfortable. The shower is roomy, and the water pressure is good. The hotel shuttle is a convenient way of getting around town. The hotel is very dog friendly, including the shuttle. I would definitely stay there again!

Stay was just okay, will go somewhere else next time. Property was nice and decently modern. No EV charging or places to plug in my own charger frustratingly despite being told on the phone I could. Rooms were in need of updates, bed was so so and pillows were very hard. No curtains on the windows, only blinds which made it tough to sleep in the morning. Walls felt very thin as we could hear a lot around us. Nice touch having coffee available on every floor in the mornings and great location.

Wonderful hotel! Room is huge, service is excellent, two TVs each room. I was about to miss my flight today because no lyft driver accepted my request. But the manager drove by himself and took me to the airport for free! I am soooo grateful to him, such a friendly and warm-hearted man!

I found this property clean and well managed. Beautiful accents throughout connect you with Native American culture in a warm and comforting atmosphere. Pool and hot tub are convenient and drinks are offered by a waitress. A delightful performance by a Lakota musician offered a tranquil evening with a plethora of flute melodies.

What a gem! The location is fantastic. Everything is in walking distance and our favorite restaurants were just around the corner. The check-in was great and Noah was very helpful and gave us tons of great recommendations. The casa bonita is beautiful! Quiet, clean, spacious, the bed was comfy and we loved the gas fireplace. It got so cold at night, but we had it warm and cozy inside. The little details with Alexa, etc made it extra special. Now I’m sad we’re not staying longer!

One word...Excellent! From calling the hotel before my trip to just about my every whim being met, Hotel Santa Fe was top-notch. I felt like I was there only guest most times! Beautifully appointed suites, warm, welcoming common spaces and great food from the restaurant made my stay wonderful. The only thing I would suggest is that the hotel desk stock oxygen cans (over the counter ones) and disposable masks for those of us who encountered altitude sickness AND would like to stay safe from the still-present COVID-19.

Great experience! Hotel staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. I really enjoyed the Santa Fe inspired decor in the room and throughout the hotel. Hotel is dog friendly but still very clean and well maintained. We brought our dog and it was a great place to stay with her. My husband and I ate at the restaurant several times and we enjoyed everything we ordered. Bar staff was extremely friendly, helpful and our food came out quickly. They offer several vegetarian and gluten free items for those with dietary restrictions. We also really enjoyed Peter White Feather Redhead who plays traditional Native American flute music several times a week in the lobby near the hotel bar/restaurant. I also thoroughly enjoyed my spa experience. Spa staff were friendly and helpful. My massage therapist was excellent. Amenities were nice and clean.

Older place, not the fanciest place. Had issues with getting hot water, but they comped our breakfast. Room was comfortable enough. Food in the restaurant was good, service (head waiter) not the best. Could do with a customer service refresher course. Other staff were exceptional. Loved the fireplaces. If you like older places, this is for you.

We have only ever visited the restaurant, but we like the overall atmosphere of the hotel and the friendly staff. The restaurant has two glass walls and several skylights so it is always bright. The glass walls are folded back at some times of the year which makes it feel more like outside dining, albeit with a roof over head. The menu is a little different to the norm, not as different as pre COVID. Good flavors though and always happy to return.

Clean and comfortable, good location, and they were gracious enough to let us check in early. However, a couple of things keep me from giving it a stellar review. One is the view from our room was a view into the dining room, which gave us no privacy or really any opportunity to open blinds and let in sunlight. Secondly, the room had no coffee machine -- which I've never experienced before. Even the humblest roadside motels provide in-room coffee these days. When I asked late afternoon if coffee was available (as I thought the hotel description suggested), the clerk said I could buy some in the bar. They also offered no breakfast -- not even a granola bar or a muffin, fyi.

Stayed here overnight on my way on a cross country drive but I wish I could’ve stayed longer! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the property felt safe and secluded despite being off a more heavily trafficked road. They also have a decent sized area for pet relief thats fenced in to protect from coyotes and their pet fee is the most reasonable of all hotels I’ve stayed at. I got in just before the kitchen closed at 9:30pm but I was able to place an order and it was being delivered to my door about 20 minutes later. (The tortilla soup is incredible!) there’s a coffee shop across the street that made my morning super easy as I hopped back on the road. I only wish I had known about this place sooner so I could’ve planned to stay longer and enjoy the spa! I will definitely be coming back!

Wish I could leave no stars. We have stayed at the Hotel Santa Fe almost every year since 1993. A few years back they offered a really low package rate but refused to honor it, saying I had called past the 72 hour deadline. That wasn’t true but since the pandemic was rearing, I let it go and we didn’t travel anywhere for some time. Wanting to stay there this year, I called to make reservations with an unpleasant woman who wasn’t well trained on the room types that I am very familiar with. I was becoming frustrated and said that maybe after decades of multiple stays there, we would need to look elsewhere for lodging. She promptly hung up on me. I was shocked and called back to get her name. I filled out a complaint on their website and received a call a few days later where I learned, as I suspected, she didn’t give me her correct name. I am afraid that the manager responding to my complaint thought I was trying to get the same discount offered years ago. This wasn’t the case, I was just explaining another unpleasant experience. They have seen the last of us and I sincerely hope they are able to put hospitality back into the hospitality industry as it was a really great hotel and we have fond memories of our many stays there.
