We tried Madame Matisse for the first time, last weekend. The croque monsieur, the steak and the turkey sandwich were all great! The oriental chicken salad was lacking. The chocolate chai tea was delicious and so was the chocolate croissant. The other pastries were sub-par and pricey. The macaroons were probably the worst, they were very chewy tasted several days old. Our waitress was not great, we had to keep asking for water and she only came to our table twice, even though they were slow. She would just disappear the back, the lady running the counter was more attentive. Also, when we got our bill there was a bunch of random charges that would have cost us $24 extra if we hadn't paid attention.

Today was our first time there and it wouldn’t be the last. While waiting for our car to be fixed nearby, we went to Madame Matisse for an early lunch. French Onion Soup, Eggs Benedict and Croque Madame were all great. Delicious and full of flavor. We also bought a few Danish pastries to go. They were the best I’ve had since a while. Wonderful food at very reasonable prices. We sure will be back.

This is one of my most favorite bakeries to visit in Santa Fe. The pastries are amazingly delicious! And I had a vanilla latte, and it was perfect with my croissant. I visited for my birthday and the service was so great and nice. I'm definitely going to come back again.

Nice folks running the place! Had a latte and a pastry. Both were excellent 👍 Then we came back for lunch, tasty!

Holy moly! We highly recommend this place - our taste buds had an incredible experience this morning. The French fries were light and crispy, the croque madame had complex flavors, eggs were cooked perfectly, and the hollandaise had the perfect amount of dill to go with the smoked salmon.

10 am on Friday the selection of pastries was very limited. Some of the pastries were overcooked, dark brown on top and bottom. Does not compare to quality, service, price, friendly French geetings, and variety of different pastry options at Clafoutis Bakery and Cafe. We will not be returning.

We used to go here often, but will never go back. We tried really hard to give this business a chance, we liked the crepes and the eggs were always cooked right, but the service has gone downhill. The server we had on more than one occasion seemed confused and would bring us the opposite of what we asked for or nothing at all, the kitchen staff was the reason we stopped going, the chef sat down at the table next to us listening to a super loud TV show on his phone while we were trying to enjoy breakfast, we told them we wouldn’t be back and they just were like ok… poor customer service, poor ambiance, I give two stars because the food is decent. They used to have better staff before pandemic so hopefully they can get it together training their staff on customer service (kitchen and wait staff) and we’d consider going back I always drive by there sad because we had some great experiences there when they first opened.
