I don't like the store, or the way I'm treated when I went there. I was followed by two security employees the entire time I was there. (I am the ceo of one of Mexico's largest energy companies). I do not recommend Sanborns for any products. Very ignorant management and security staff. Terrible experience on July 4th around 10pm. Security staff should be fired, they would not be working for my company.

We ate here after going to the museum. While the museum was crowded, the restaurant was not so full. The server was helpful, and their famous traditional chicken enchiladas were delicious.

Novemeber 30, 2022. I had given this restaurant five stars in my previous review but, regretfully, I must add a caveat emptor based on our last experience here: the service at this restaurant seems to be more of a hit-and-miss. We went for lunch, a couple of days ago, ordered two dishes (the paella and one of the meat and cheese dishes). The busboy service was excellent, as per usual, he even remembered us, but it went down hill from there: they brought my paella to the table first and kept my husband waiting for 15 minutes for his dish. During that lapse, I asked three times why it was taking so long to bring his food, no one could explain. We had a few forkfuls of the paella, which by then was already lukewarm (if you like paella and have had good ones, do not order it at Sanborns). When they finally brought my husband's dish we were very upset and ready to leave but the staff kept telling us not to leave, that they would reheat the paella (Really? Now we would have to wait for that too? And who wants reheated paella?) We had to fight with the staff so that we could leave the restaurant. We wanted to pay for the damned paella and the beer my husband ordered. The server told us not to worry about paying for anything. So, thank you for the free beer but, most likely, we won't return. This is not a chic place, but just a good place to have lunch. Their food is tasty and the wait staff is cordial and efficient. They bring the food timely and at the right temperature. Their very popular enchiladas suizas are very tasty and filling. They are not spicy, though, and that's a good thing. We love spicy food but sometimes a lovely tasty dish is all one craves.

Within a relatively small space, high quality selection of almost everything you need as a business man or traveler (besides food). Recommended.

I went there for a quick lunch and ordered the suggestion from the server. It was a chicken chipotle, I got my food and cut into the chicken, it was raw and just seared. They take it back put it in the microwave and bring it back it was still raw. The Chef said it was not but my server said he agreed with me. Manager was very nice and comped the meal. But not a good experience.

Busy mall with lots of different shops inside and a cinema inside. Located next to the Soumaya Museum.

Racist security staff with low levels of intelligence. Can't tell a shoplifter from an Executive Director. Very racist, I do not recommend that anyone affluent shop here. Low quality products, horrible food.
