This one of the great spots of Mexico City, especially on any givenSunday. The cafe reeks with days gone by in a classic way as cool in Mumbai as it is in Habana as it is in Miami <but without the sanctimonious white Cubans>. It a place Che met Castro for tea and to talk revolution. Its also the place of unbelievable guacamole and super-tasty orange/yellow rice and the best coffee in the city. A rare treat!

I loved this place! My companion, a real Chilango (native), told me that it was the place where Fidel Castro and Che met the first time. It has atmosphere of historic cafés that one can patronise for years. The waitstaff is so courteous and discrete. I am looking forward to going back. The coffee (even though I ordered decaf) was excellent. We were told it was from Veracruz local beans. The cake and molletes were also good . The fare is not high end, but totally comfort food . The exciting moment was when I shook hands with a famous journalist I recognised who was dining next to us. All in all, we spent a couple hours there and it was absolutely lovely.

My wife and I come to this place for coffee, one of the coffees was horrible, poorly prepared. (I know because we have an espresso machine at home.) After that, more than 30 minutes passed without being attended, so we decided to leave the place. When we are paying the bill we mentioned that we did not want to pay for the coffee that they prepared us wrong, (it was untouched on the table). We had a long talk and the manager and staff wanted to force us to pay for some milk which we used for that ugly coffee. I went outside for a few minutes to breathe. In my absence, the manager of this place was already yelling at my wife. We paid and left. I told the manager to shut up because he kept yelling at my wife at the door and he started asking me to fight. I came back and told him to calm down and left the place. I live in New York and this is the worst coffee and place in Mexico that I have ever been. Please Be Careful. Not even on the street had I felt in such danger.

Very nice place. Breakfast was delicious and so was their coffee. Their green juice was so delicious. I recommend this place for a nice bite to eat breakfast. It's relaxing and it has so much history.

(Translated by Google) Good service by the waitress, very good seasoning, the attitude of the floor manager named Bryan leaves to be desired, he treats the waiters very badly in a arrogant way, they deserve a dignified treatment with much respect. (Original) Buen servicio por parte de la mesera, muy buen sazón, la actitud del jefe de piso llamado Bryan deja que desear trata muy mal a los meseros de una manera prepotente, ellos merecen un trato digno con mucho respeto.

Of course you can find better prices and quality but it's a time capsule experience you're after if you come here. With its nostalgic vibe, you can easily imagine Gabriel Garcia Marquez looking at people passing by through the big windows or Fidel Castro discussing his vision for Cuba. Prices are a little bit much for the quality of food and coffee. But the staff is very friendly and this is a place to go for a little slice of History.

Nothing special with the foods, the bacon are undercooked. It’s a Mexican Diner style serving Mexican foods. The hugo are good though, I always come here for the hugo. But overall the food is pretty standard. Chilaquiles is okay too. Except the meat, I personally find the meat here either undercooked or overcooked for different type of dishes.

Loved the Coffe, but most of all I Loved their honesty. I walked out leaving my wallet on the table with more than $300 Dlrs, the waiter ran out, ran across the street to catch up to me to give my wallet. You just don't see that type of people anymore.

A cafe more famous because Fidel Castro and Che Guevara were planing the revolution of Cuba. The coffee wasn’t that bad but wasn’t like wow ! The service was particularly good The staff dont speak English but they are so patient and they try them best to help. This point should be considered positively

Service with a [masked] SMILE. The hot chocolate and flan Alajandra happily served us are the best I've had, EVER! Don't mix your chocolate if you don't want it too sweet (there's sugar sitting on the bottom of the cup). Let it sit a while if you were silly enough to mix it. This experience alone is worth the trip from Lost Angeles. Olè, Alajandra!

I can't forget to mention the mouthwatering paella and sardines we enjoyed at Habana. The paella was a true masterpiece, with its saffron-infused rice, perfectly cooked seafood, and an array of flavorful spices that danced on the palate. It was a taste of Spain that transported us to the heart of the Mediterranean. And the sardines! They were a revelation. Fresh and perfectly grilled, each bite was a celebration of the sea's bounty. The simplicity of the dish allowed the natural flavors of the sardines to shine through, and it was a delightful surprise that added even more depth to our dining experience. Habana's commitment to using fresh, local ingredients and their culinary expertise truly shone through in these dishes. Paella and sardines at Habana were the highlights of our meal and made our visit even more memorable. If you're a fan of these Mediterranean classics, you'll be in for a treat at Habana restaurant in Lloret de Mar! And thank You Victor for brilliant service 😎

This is not a fancy upmarket brunch place, this is an authentic, honest, down-to-earth canteen style cafe serving large tasty portions and strong cuban coffee. We came here twice during our trip and the "paquete" option is great value offering a fruit/juice, coffee and a main plate. Also the staff are worth mentioning as they were all attentive, friendly and polite, making us feel very welcome. If you want a delicious filling breakfast for a good price in a beautiful space that feels like part of history, head to Café La Habana and you won't be disappointed.

We went here twice on our stay in CDMX. Coffee is UNREAL delicious. The menu is good- I really enjoyed the chilaquiles and huevos divorciados. Enchilada suiza was not my favorite. The fresh juice is tasty. Atmosphere is super historic and the service is on point and charming at the same time. A great way to start the day.

The service hours on this app says they close at midnight, though, if you walk at 11:20 they don't accept walks- ins any more. Perhaps it would be nice to have accurate timing for service hours. My son and I walked from "Las Luchas" and he wanted to have dinner because of so many memories of their past with his grandma .

This is the best café we breakfasted in. Historically interesting, retains its 1950s character while up to date in other ways. Really nice waiters and waitresses, fast service, very good price - we went during a 2 for 1 breakfast promotion. Food is generous and tasty, the place is clean and friendly - what more can you ask? We spoke with a manager about visits here by Che and Fidel and he was very knowledgeable and interesting and proud of the vafé's history. Have breakfast here!

Great place to have a coffee and breakfast. The cafe americano I ordered was de-li-cious and they use traditional metal jugs to brew it, not modern machines, which was a nice addition. The interiors are nice and there's a feeling of entering a time capsule which takes you 20-30 years back. Breakfast was very good, too - the huevos revueltos a la Mexicana with tortillas are worth trying.

I had Bistex Mexicana. It was alright, but not amazing. Beans were OK, and rise was pretty good. Service was great like every place I've been to here in Mexico. The price was very reasonable. The building is a bit dated, but judging by the pictures on the walls the place has been there for a looong time.

To put it simply, go for coffee, avoid the food. Also, I wouldn't call stale outdated facilities nostalgic. I also couldn't speak to anyone at my table due to the juice machine running for 20 minutes. If you're an English speaker be mindful that no one speaks your language at all, so assume youll have issues with ordering and the bill, as I did. I've been to Mexico 30 times and this was one of the more difficult experiences but the coffee was somewhat good so they get 2 stars. Who the heck orders an Irish coffee at a Cuban restaurant?

Don't go! If they will see you tourist will try to rip you off. We've been there this morning to try their breakfast. We asked the waiter if we want capuccino instead of americano and he said no. When the check came, he added 100 pesos for the capuccino, as we had the americano and the capuccino too. We asked him why he add the capuccino on the check, cause he said we will not be charged extra and he told us he didn't told us this, he said they will charge extra, as we would be stupid...

It's a very traditional coffee shop, yr waiters are very friendly and good but they can't make coffee. I ordered a a double shot espresso and I got a mug of coffee. I've been there many times and that's how they think it is.

I specifically came here bc this was the hangout spot of my favorite writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez (as well as Robert Bolano, Octavio Paz) and not because Fidel Castro and Ernesto Che Guevara used to meet weekly here. Except for the history its just your average spot to have a decent meal. I had fruit and and eggs chilaquiles with green sauce. It was good, service was prompt and overall an enjoyable experience. Oh did I mention Patti Smith had an exhibition here? #cafehabana #mexicocity #googlelocalguide #letsguide
