Restaurant Japanese restaurant Sushi restaurant

😠 This is "ramen", almost as much as I am from Japan. It felt like plastic and not edible at all. I paid and left, they had the audacity to ask for the tip. Do not recommend. People often mention good, restaurant, Mexico, Japanese,

So freaking good. I busted a nut for the edamame. Would come back to Mexico city just for this place 🤤

Great authentic Japanese restaurant serving sushi and other Asian food. The interior looks run down and is in need of an overhaul but the quality of food makes up for it. Staff are friendly and helpful. It’s great value and I’d definitely return.

We're from Canada and have been looking for good food in Mexico City, and not finding anything. We looked at the menu and thought... It's pretty expensive, but lets try it. It was sooo good, best Japanese food we've found in all our trips to Mexico City.

Mikado Restaurant on Reforma Ave. is a good place to visit if you are in the mood for Japanese cuisine while in Mexico City. Their menu includes all of the staples you would expect, including some made with imported items from Japan. The upper floor is mostly used for teppanyaki, and the downstairs area is equipped with tables equipped with gas stoves for shabu shabu, sukiyaki, oden, etc. This is a very cozy restaurant, always busy at lunchtime, especially. Service is attentive and courteous. Prices competitive. Recommend highly!

Authentic Japanese in the heart of Mexico City. Great flavor and reasonable prices.

Sushi looks a bit unusual but tastes authentic. Ramen is mediocre.

It's a very good Japanese restaurant, with very kind service. The sushi and teriyaki chicken were perfect, and in addition, we also received three additional dishes and pickled vegetables, and everything was perfect.

Great place, the food is amazing and super tasty. The menu has a lot of options to offer, I would definitely recommend any kind of teppanyaki. The only thing I would change is the decoration of the place, but regarding the food there’s nothing to complain about.

My evaluation is more than 20 years ago when I used to live in Mexico City, frequently visited this restaurant with then-BF Lorenzo.....what a nice memory! I heard from someone that this restaurant was closed but now found out it still exists there what a nice news:) Love to visit there again in the near future!!!

Very long wait for food. Dishes came out sporadically despite being told appetizers were first and entrees second. One person at our table asked to have their order cancelled (it then magically appeared after being last to receive food after an hour wait). Still cancelled the dish and we noticed it was given to another patron: we know this because it had unique items requested in it for the dish. Server only gave us one menu despite 4 people at the table, despite multiple requests. QR menu code didn’t work either. Had to ask wait staff multiple times for everything: refills, extra utensils, the check…all that badgering for mediocre food. It wasn’t that busy when we arrived either. Felt like witnessing a “kitchen nightmare” episode.

Great Japanese restaurant. A really good overall experience. Had yakiniku for the first time in ages and it was really good. The service was excellent. Small and cozy place in the street corner. Thumbs up!

This restaurant has been in this location like forever. Quality is good, I like this place for its Nigiri sushi. I dont consider prices high specially for the quality and authenticity, dont expect to find 50 types of rolls mixing every possible ingredient. This is place for trying japanese food.

Vegetable and shrimp tempura was very good. Sushi rolls were disappointing. Considering the higher price of everything I expected sophisticated structures with amazing taste but it was an average.

Food was excellent quality, but bland.

👍👍 Don’t let the line outside fool you! Restaurant has a lot of seating, waited only about 15 minutes outside. Sat down and enjoyed a great authentic meal. Everything I tried was so delicious! Enjoyed a little of everything from enfrijoladas ( similar to enchiladas but in beans instead of a red or gree...
